I started as a bather and the girl who taught me how to groom was awesome and she taught me how to force dry and under coat ..shes been grooming for like 25 yrs so she knows a few things.

Groomers are pretty awesome and have a hard job at times. People can be super serious about their dogs too. I wouldn't want to deal with other dogs or their parents lol!! Great job!

Mia's just a love! I am SO happy with my golden doodles' groomers. They go in looking like ragamuffins and come out looking spectacular. I can tell when they're all cleaned up, fluffed and fresh, that they feel great and are ready to see and be seen. I don't know of any job that doesn't need education, so I cannot imagine grooming dogs is any less demanding or has a lower learning curve that a lot of other professional jobs. You obviously take pride in your work, the dogs look beautiful, and people are just idiots sometimes.

OMG I love your attitude. When my dogs are puppies I really want them to not be afraid or frustrated. I want my dogs to learn to love being groomed eventually. I own three poodles. Their health, wellbeing and happiness are my main concern.

My mini goldendoodle is my first dog that needs full grooming. I set his first appointment a month out from getting him and started introducing him to the different noises and experiences of being groomed. By his appointment date, he was used to everything except the blow drying. My groomer said he did very well.

OMG I think that was Loki speaking!! Believe this man!! I wish I knew Logan when I got my dog Loki I’m a hairdresser and I didn’t realize how important it was to prepare him for grooming. I didn’t know until it was too late how much he needed brushing and desensitizing to the grooming process!! Logan preaches the truth!!! He’s also THE BEST groomer ever!!!

Also some dogs/puppies take a longer time to get used to brushing than others. It’s taken my puppy to 9 months to stop throwing a fit with brushing. Never had any issues with other parts of grooming, brushed properly each time, perfect for everyyyything except the brush. I’ve had adults who’ve come to me who’ve taken 3-5 sessions to get over being properly brushed and combed. Some still hating it after months. If your dog hates it, please keep trying. As they get older the behavior can just get worse. I’d rather deal with an annoying dog that gets over it within a matter of months than a dog who doesn’t get over it and starts to become aggressive. I hate to have to muzzle a dog just for brushing.

Any person that cares about their own personal haircut should understand that what you do for dogs is what their stylist does for them. Hair is the outfit you wear every day, thus you're basically a rockstar, styling your town's goodest bois and girls ❤❤

I myself am a bather for a small business but got my training from corporate (both petco and PetSmart). Now I take on my own bath dogs and I also bathe and dry the groomers dogs as well as my own dogs. I happen to be pretty quick with my job (while still having it be performed the best I can) so I can afford to take on 5 dogs of my own and help out 3 of theirs. In the corporate jobs they had you watch them once or twice them you’re on your own taking your own dogs (maybe help them out once or twice) but you’re mostly on your own
I did everything 😊. Loved it but a huge amount of time and effort. Great job love watching your vids 😊
