Hi Fellows, wonderful reaction and your shock and respect is what we all feel for Angelina. One piece of information, Angelina is almost certainly not deaf in one ear. That rumor comes from one piece written a long time ago that was filled with other mistakes about Angelina. Certainly rumored deafness has nothing to do with why she sings barefoot. If you look more into Angelina (and you really should) you will discover why she has pledged to always sing barefoot. It has to do with a profound experience she had when she was 6 and her commitment to childrens' charity work and addessing global childrens' poverty. In fact, she wrote a children's book about it (with illustrations by her grandmother, a highly regarded artist) and became the youngest author ever in Norway. Angelina has helped to raise millions of dollars for childrens' charities through her singing.

Some idiot saw an "Earpiece" in her ear (you know, like all singers and performers use) and decided it was a hearing aid....those folks are out there and perpetrate nonsense all the time....personally when I read it I LMAO, oh well. In the future, you might want to point out that the deaf-in-one-ear thing was probably getting her confused with another Republic Records artist, Jessie J, who has had hearing problems in one of her ears. (I say this because it was also erroneously reported that Angelina has played Carnegie Hall. She hasn't, of course, but Jessie J has.)

Angelina auditioned for Norway's Got Talent at age 7 and won that season after she turned 8. She is NOT deaf in one ear. Here is the real reason she always performs barefoot. *Why Angelina always performs barefoot* At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. With regards to Angelina's vocal range - you ain't heard anything yet - Angelina writes all her own vocal arrangments and pulls out the vocal tools she thinks will work for a specific song - she doesn't use her full toolbox on each song - she is often referred to as the Woman of 1,000 voices.

Marketing will start when they are ready. There's only one EP with 6 songs she's released from Republic Record.. Republic Records know 100% what they are doing? I think a lot of people don't realize how much Angelina has done in her short life (17). She performed FIFA AWARD song, and performed in front of 40 000 people only 11 years old invited by Norah Jones. She was also specially invited by Quincy Jones to perform on his 85th birthday in the O2 arena / London. And so on goes the list... She has over 250 songs on RUclips with cover songs and many originals. Angelina also plays piano and guitar. The truth is that within a year or two she will be the artist for the big occasions. and not a "plastic artist" who tops a list for a week and is forgotten just as quickly. Oh boy, you are going to be bombarded by her fans called Angels that will fill you in on this music prodigy with an old soul from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Even though she has been compared by many to Amy Winehouse, her major influence is Billie Holiday. Other influences are Dinah Washington, Louis Armstrong, and Etta James to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, " Wow, what a rendition!" For Queen to respond to someone covering one of their songs is quite a feat since they rarely react to anyone . There's a simple explanation, she's Norwegian. That Viking longboat was appropriate for the barefoot angel of Oslo. Yesterday, Dec. 8, Angelina released a bunch of Christmas songs. Try her version of Chris Rea's, "Driving Home for Christmas", and if you like Elvis, Angelina's reworked version of "Suspicious Minds" from 2022 when she was 16. That's a music video and you can see what she looks and sounds like now, as well as her two baby cousins and her sister Juliette!

This girl-becoming-woman has generated as passionate a fan base as you will find! It is because she is a stellar person and because, when she sings, she conveys the emotion and the meaning of the song better than any artist that I have ever heard!

Guys, she has “range”. More range than you can possibly imagine! In fact, even at age 10, she has vocal tools in her toolbox that she can pull out on demand. But she’s an artist. She is selective, and only uses what is needed to bring out the emotion in the song. She doesn’t do stuff to show off, she imparts the emotion. Watch more of her work, and you will only grow in admiration of the subtle artistry of Angelina Jordan!

@adairmartin There is nothing extraordinary about Angelina's vocal range. It's about 3 octaves, give or take a semi-tone. On par with Adele, Barbara Streisand.
She did an amazing full concert summer ⛱️ tour with a part of this band, especially the Brass group in the following summer at the age of 11y. Who others can stand this? Also, the reason the band is “blasting over her voice” is that this is a live performance at a fundraiser concert in Norway. I don’t think you’ll find any effect used in the recording. “The barefoot princess” was traveling in the Middle East when she was six years old. She came across a girl her age, that was weighing people on the street to earn money. The girl did not have shoes, so Angelina gave her her own boots (favorite boots apparently). She asked what the girl wanted to become when she was grown up. The girl answered that she wanted to become a doctor and asked Angelina what she wanted to become. Angelina answered a star singer. The girl then told Angelina she would manage that. After that episode, Angelina decided not to wear shoes on stage until all children could afford shoes. She also wrote a book about this story and in doing so became the youngest published author in Norway at the age of nine. ❤

Great first reaction guys. If you go down the rabbit hole you won’t be disappointed and will continue to be amazed. Yes Angelina can belt, she can go extremely low, she has incredible vibrato, can sing breathy, can do amazing runs. So many details and nuances in her voice but she only does what’s necessary for the song or to tell the story. It’s never a “look what I can do” performance. Why she performs barefoot is a very touching story. She wrote a book about it at 9 years old and became the youngest published author in Norway. There is a TV interview where she talks about it. Fans can provide a link.i saw that you posted text that said you know that it’s because she’s deaf in one ear. That is not true. There are some bogus articles that claim she’s deaf and even some that supposedly say she’s Elvis’s granddaughter. Fans will give you a lot of information about Angelina. Angelina is Norwegian born. She had just turned eight years old when she won Norway’s Got Talent. Angelina is currently seventeen years old and she will be turning eighteen on January 10th. She has a catalogue of over 200 covers and original songs. She signed with Republic Records in August of 2020, when she was fourteen years old. She wrote her debut single, “Million Miles” soon after her grandfather passed away in November of 2019. “Million Miles is her tribute to her grandfather and everyone that has lost their loved ones. It was released in November of 2020. She wrote, composed and recorded four songs by the time she was twelve years old. Thank you for discovering Angelina. In my opinion, she is the best singer in the world, and there are thousands of others who would agree with me. Every moment you spend featuring her on your channel will being you great emotional satisfaction. There are so many things I get from this performance. Some I recognised immediately and those I missed were brought to my attention by the more observant Angelina fans (her Angels) and I thank them for letting me know what I had missed. (1) The realisation that at the age of 10 Angelina has shed all childishness from her voice. (2) A feeling that the placement of the spotlight at the beginning of her performance was deliberate. If it was, then, to my mind, it was a brilliant move. (3) The fact that Angelina arranged this song and that the band kept out of the way and let her voice be the focus. (4) The incredible low note she sang for the word "good" at the beginning and end of the performance. (5) That wonderful crescendo at the end. (6) The was Angelina used her left arm and hand throughout the performance (7) The way she changed the microphone from her right hand to left hand, so that she could flip her hair back with her right hand. (8) The cheeky smile she gave to the cameraman when she realised he had focused on her at about 2.56 in your reaction video. The girl was trying to make money by weighing people on her scale but AJ noticed she was was shoeless and the two girls struct up a conversation. At the end, AJ gave her her shoes and ever since then, she has vowed that unless all the children in the world have shoes, she will sing barefoot. Also, this is NOT to place to start with AJ. Why does Angelina sing barefooted? Angelina Jordan is known as "The Barefoot Princess" or "The Barefoot Princess of Jazz," amongst many other names. She always performs barefooted, whether in front of a live audience or during a studio performance. The story is that while living in the Middle East, at 6 years old, Angelina came across an orphaned girl, of her own age, sitting in the street, weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn money. Angelina said to herself, "I would like to share her life for one second to know what it is like to sit alone, wet, and damp, and barefoot in a corner of the street." Angelina could see the girl's bare feet were scarred and that it was cold outside, so she offered her own shoes to the girl. Not deaf. She doesn't wear shoes because when she was six whole traveling in the Middle East, she met a homeless girl. After some conversation, the girl complimented her shoes, and Angelina noticed she didn't have any. She gave her her shoes, and has sworn off wearing shoes when she performs as a reminder of those less fortunate. She has donated millions of her winnings/earnings to children's charities. I love seeing such appreciation for this girl, who has become my favorite singer was all time. I'm disappointed you didn't watch to the end to see her curtsy. She even did that on AGT at age 13. Hi Fellows, wonderful reaction and your shock and respect is what we all feel for Angelina. One piece of information, Angelina is almost certainly not deaf in one ear. That rumor comes from one piece written a long time ago that was filled with other mistakes about Angelina. Certainly rumored deafness has nothing to do with why she sings barefoot. If you look more into Angelina (and you really should) you will discover why she has pledged to always sing barefoot. It has to do with a profound experience she had when she was 6 and her commitment to childrens' charity work and addessing global childrens' poverty. In fact, she wrote a children's book about it (with illustrations by her grandmother, a highly regarded artist) and became the youngest author ever in Norway. Angelina has helped to raise millions of dollars for childrens' charities through her singing.

(I say this because it was also erroneously reported that Angelina has played Carnegie Hall. She hasn't, of course, but Jessie J has.)

At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes.
Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true.
Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. Marketing will start when they are ready. There's only one EP with 6 songs she's released from Republic Record.. Republic Records know 100% what they are doing? I think a lot of people don't realize how much Angelina has done in her short life (17). She performed FIFA AWARD song, and performed in front of 40 000 people only 11 years old invited by Norah Jones. She was also specially invited by Quincy Jones to perform on his 85th birthday in the O2 arena / London. And so on goes the list... She has over 250 songs on RUclips with cover songs and many originals. Angelina also plays piano and guitar.
The truth is that within a year or two she will be the artist for the big occasions. and not a "plastic artist" who tops a list for a week and is forgotten just as quickly. When she sometimes belts is it because the fits in the performances. She sings to us only she can do!

Needless to say, Angelina went on to win the 2014 season of NGT shortly after her 8th birthday. The family was bombarded with requests for performances, interviews, and record label offers. They turned down 90% of the requests, as they insisted that Angelina should enjoy a normal childhood.
That didn't stop Angelina from performing at select engagements around the world, singing for Heads of State, and even Barack Obama. She's spent time and worked with musicians such as Quincy Jones and Alan Walker. She first appeared on American television, The View, at 8 years old.
Angelina auditioned for America's Got Talent The Champions at 13 years old. She made it just up to the final selection of the final 5 when she dropped from the competition. AGT's designated "Super Fans" didn't carry her over into the final 5. The web blew up when she was dropped.
At 14, Angelina signed with Republic Records. Republic gave her complete artistic control as well as control over the performances she would make. Oh boy, you are going to be bombarded by her fans called Angels that will fill you in on this music prodigy with an old soul from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Even though she has been compared by many to Amy Winehouse, her major influence is Billie Holiday. Other influences are Dinah Washington, Louis Armstrong, and Etta James to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, " Wow, what a rendition!" For Queen to respond to someone covering one of their songs is quite a feat since they rarely react to anyone . Not only that, but she received the copyrights for her version of this song from Queen, which makes it hers now. She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity.
Now 17 years old, living in Los Angeles, and currently signed with Republic Records, whose clients include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Drake to name a few. Her family and Republic Records had agreed not to heavily promote her just yet so she can live as normal of a life as possible and finish her schooling. From what we know, she is finally done with school. She had a single that came out May 5th called Love Don't Let Me Go, a new EP called Old Enough that came out Friday, July 21st, a newly released video of her new song called Now I'm The Fool, and a new album of original music which will be coming out later this year. Angelina just recently released her new single, Our Time, and is fantastic! When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a poor shoeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. The girl then asked Angelina what her dreams were, Angelina answered that she wanted to sing for the whole world, and the girl said she would pray for her success. Since then, Angelina has performed barefoot in honor of that little girl and to those who are less fortunate around the world. She keeps this promise to this day. Guys, she has “range”. More range than you can possibly imagine! In fact, even at age 10, she has vocal tools in her toolbox that she can pull out on demand. But she’s an artist. She is selective, and only uses what is needed to bring out the emotion in the song. She doesn’t do stuff to show off, she imparts the emotion. “The barefoot princess” was traveling in the Middle East when she was six years old. She came across a girl her age, that was weighing people on the street to earn money. The girl did not have shoes, so Angelina gave her her own boots (favorite boots apparently). She asked what the girl wanted to become when she was grown up. The girl answered that she wanted to become a doctor and asked Angelina what she wanted to become. Angelina answered a star singer. The girl then told Angelina she would manage that.
After that episode, Angelina decided not to wear shoes on stage until all children could afford shoes. She also wrote a book about this story and in doing so became the youngest published author in Norway at the age of nine. ❤

Yes Angelina can belt, she can go extremely low, she has incredible vibrato, can sing breathy, can do amazing runs. So many details and nuances in her voice but she only does what’s necessary for the song or to tell the story. It’s never a “look what I can do” performance.
Why she performs barefoot is a very touching story. She wrote a book about it at 9 years old and became the youngest published author in Norway. There is a TV interview where she talks about it. Fans can provide a link.i saw that you posted text that said you know that it’s because she’s deaf in one ear. That is not true. There are so many things I get from this performance. Some I recognised immediately and those I missed were brought to my attention by the more observant Angelina fans (her Angels) and I thank them for letting me know what I had missed.
(1) The realisation that at the age of 10 Angelina has shed all childishness from her voice.
(2) A feeling that the placement of the spotlight at the beginning of her performance was deliberate. If it was, then, to my mind, it was a brilliant move.
(3) The fact that Angelina arranged this song and that the band kept out of the way and let her voice be the focus.
(4) The incredible low note she sang for the word "good" at the beginning and end of the performance.
(5) That wonderful crescendo at the end.
(6) The was Angelina used her left arm and hand throughout the performance
(7) The way she changed the microphone from her right hand to left hand, so that she could flip her hair back with her right hand.
(8) The cheeky smile she gave to the cameraman when she realised he had focused on her at about 2.56 in your reaction video.
(9) The sideways look and grin she gives to her instrumentalists just after she curtsies to the audience -- as if to say, "Yeah, we killed it, guys! Now let's go get some ice cream!"

The girl was trying to make money by weighing people on her scale but AJ noticed she was was shoeless and the two girls struct up a conversation. Why does Angelina sing barefooted? Angelina Jordan is known as "The Barefoot Princess" or "The Barefoot Princess of Jazz," amongst many other names. She always performs barefooted, whether in front of a live audience or during a studio performance. The story is that while living in the Middle East, at 6 years old, Angelina came across an orphaned girl, of her own age, sitting in the street, weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn money. Angelina said to herself, "I would like to share her life for one second to know what it is like to sit alone, wet, and damp, and barefoot in a corner of the street." Angelina could see the girl's bare feet were scarred and that it was cold outside, so she offered her own shoes to the girl. Little Angelina says that she really loved her shoes, as they were very nice and she knew she would miss them. But she saw the other little girl’s need for them, which outweighed her own desire to keep them. So she insisted the little girl take them.
Angelina called her Princess, even though the girl said she didn't live in a castle, but the ruins of a building next to where she sat. After sharing their hopes and dreams, the little girl said of Angelina's wish to sing for the world, "You will become the one you dream of and when your dreams come true, you have to remember the poor children without shoes; and I will pray for you Angelina.” Later that day, 6 y/o Angelina wrote in her diary, "The world is very strange. Right then and there, I felt as if a door in my heart opened up, and it was filled with lots of lights. It was as if there was, from Earth to Heaven, a staircase. I climbed the stairs. To be able to do something for another human - it was such a big thing…hard to describe really.”
From that point on, Angelina takes off her shoes, in honor of ‘Princess’ and all the other less fortunate children of the world, who are orphaned, hungry, or in want of even basic clothing. In 2015, at the age of 9, Angelina wrote a book about the encounter, as everyone continued to ask why she sang barefoot. Her grandmother, Mery Zamani, created the artwork for the book. So at 9, Angelina Jordan became the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina has performed alongside many other artists, raising attention and helping to raise over 21 million euros and millions of dollars for children in need.
She arranges her own performances and interacts with the musicians to get what she wants, and she was doing this at 8 y.o., the reason it isn’t balanced is because it is a recording off a tv performance, so I’m not sure how they recorded the audio. She is “The Boss” so she didn’t have to tell the band to “F” themselves, she is in total control, as you will see as you go further down this rabbit hole.
Angelina regards her voice as just one of the musical instruments in the band. This is something she picked up from Billy Holliday who said she wanted her voice to be more like a musical instrument( paraphrased) Her respect for musicians means they are often given solos. She has never been me me me, which ca frustrate her fans because we are more .... I'm here for Angelina.

Yes. The Brass ran up on her heels. Hate that! But they are very good otherwise. And honestly, that's not their call. That is the arrangement and the direction/sound engineer or orch leader.

Not deaf. She doesn't wear shoes because when she was six whole traveling in the Middle East, she met a homeless girl. After some conversation, the girl complimented her shoes, and Angelina noticed she didn't have any. She gave her her shoes, and has sworn off wearing shoes when she performs as a reminder of those less fortunate. She has donated millions of her winnings/earnings to children's charities. The Barefoot Princess!

AJ has best version, her own arrangement as is typical for her, she selects, arranges and performs it all her way from the very beginning.. in studio age 6, national TV age 7, world tour age 8 following win of Norway's Got Talent. Where were you age 8 and what were you doing 😂, me, not so much 😢.
Now that you've listened to one amazing Norwegian singer, you should check out another - AURORA - a little older than Angelina norwegian singer, that struck out when she was 18. I love seeing such appreciation for this girl, who has become my favorite singer was all time. I'm disappointed you didn't watch to the end to see her curtsy. She even did that on AGT at age 13. She arranges the music for every performance. Brilliant and sweet., she has no ego. She just loves to sing!
