I think if you are truly saved by God you will never turn away from him. I don’t have a definition of that it is just more a spiritual feeling. I say this because of Romans 8:2 Because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads you to death. This means that sin cannot lead you to a spiritual death if you have claimed Jesus Christ as your lord and Savior. Meaning that you are always saved because he will not let it happen to you if you claim him. Romans 8:38-39 Luke 7:50 Your faith has saved you go in peace. If you know of your mind that your faith is a strong as grounded as it can be, then you having nothing to worry about.
I think Romans 8:2 is in the context of condemnation, as in we all have a death sentence, but if you walk in the Spirit, the one who beat that death sentence, you will not have to bear it nor worry about it. I agree we should not be constantly worried like oh I'm scared if I die tomorrow I'll go to hell cause of what I did today, I gotta make up for it. I think that thinking is flawed and we need to lay down those worries of tomorrow or the future and focus on today like Matthew 6:34 says. But going back to what I said about walking in the spirit, is it possible to stop walking. I mean I have people in my life that are ride or die, but I think we all have shame and fear inside that can creep up and say they are going to leave you soon, so leave first. Can the same thing happen with God? And if it does, does that mean you weren't really saved or not? IDK. I think it's a very human thing to think well me and God are distant, and it's my fault or maybe its God's fault, but either way I'm gonna give up now and do my own thing. Honestly I do have that fear that could be me, and think it's fine I'm saved, I'll come back to you God whenever something happens to make me feel less distant. So maybe it is just me, that I have this fear of losing salvation to always keep fighting so I won't give up when there is so much shame when I'm at the subhuman level of the toxic shame cycle, which is kinda what I was referencing/hinting at in the last line. Sorry that's alot hopefully that made a little sense
my night was going in one direction and then these people on this site xlx introvert ❤ today is going in a healthier direction. the people hurting and encouraging. the love was intense and I am so grateful
I’m so glad that today is going better cause you do matter and people out there you don’t even know care about you as well as God, but our shame likes to tell us everything we’re not. Trust me I’ve been there, suicidal ideation/thoughts etc, and even though it’s hard I’m trying to do it more cause we’re all hurting and we all need encouragement and it’s okay to struggle with not feeling like you have value, but we have to fight against with truth
