Hurricane Beryl Hits Texas, Knocks Over Buc-ees Sign, RV

Hurricane Beryl made landfall as a Category 1 hurricane on Matagorda Peninsula, a 38-mile-long barrier island on the Texas Gulf Coast, just before 4 a.m. CDT Monday morning, about 150 miles up the Gulf Coast from Corpus Christi. The storm roared ashore with maximum sustained winds of 80 mph. lol, I fell asleep before the sign fell but that's too funny I kept telling @WXChasing they should hit higher ground. They pulled in to buc-ees for snacks then went to park in front of the sign and decided to move out of its path thinking it might fall; their gut instinct was right on. Hope everyone is safe. It's nice storm footage but not worth the risk to be out in it unless one has the resources and training in the disaster/demolition department. Glad you picked them up AccuWeather they caught some really dramatic storm surge footage.
