Even though I am a new Christian woman, I do struggle with it. My dad is an atheist and after telling him I am a Christian the anger that came out of him was astonishing (and still ongoing). I love my dad, but I love my true Father more.
Continue to pray for them while always remembering that everyone, even the unsaved, knows the God of the Bible is real; they simply suppress the truth in unrighteousness (per Romans 1:18). The vast majority of my own birth family are unsaved as well, but if God, in His sovereign grace, chooses to save them or your Dad, then they will be saved.
Jonah 2:9 says that salvation is of the Lord.
The anger sounds like your dad’s heart may be convicted or that pride may be wounded. My father is not saved either, so I certainly empathize with you.
Continue to wait on Him, and know that there are no surprises or mistakes in His Will.
I had the same response from my Father. After many years he came to faith too so keep praying and show him the truth by the way you live not just by what you say.
Will be praying for you and your dad. Can’t image how hard that must be!
the reason why you sturggle with it is because people like this man are lying to you. he is using soveringinty in a way that is not benefical to you. he says this is about , it is not. It is about the assumptions they make with scripture, it is about the Character of God and how he is misrepresenting it.
@@icedragon1000 There is no misrepresentation. A full orbed exegesis of the scriptures shows that this man’s position on this issue is essentially correct. She’s struggling with what is true and relevant and you’re simply ignoring what the text says
I was looking for a church to join and visited a church where the pastor just happened to be preaching on this very subject and after reading those verses about woman not being allowed to teach or exercise authority over a man he just said "I know what the text says, but we are not going to do that in this church." As soon as I heard that I got up, left, and never returned there again. How dare he compromise with the scriptures like that!!?? A blind leader leading the blind into the same pit he's falling into. How a man can think he's more "fair" or "right" than God? Sickening...
The reason you struggle with this is because you know that you are being abused, your reaction is normal. They take a text that was a local issue and make it universal, when they do that they cancel out the work of Christ, the New covenant, the Spiritual Gifts and the New Creation. this is Blasphmey
The Bible is absolutely clear that women shouldn’t be pastors or leaders in The Church. Any woman “pastor” is willfully ignoring God’s word in favor of her own desires.
Yes, in rebellion to Him
The men are guilty too for allowing this. Just like Adam allowed Eve to take the forbidden fruit.
People forget that according to the text not all men can be a pastor or shepherd the flocks. The qualifications of an Elder or pastor also stated in the book of Titus.
Simply crystal clear explanation!!
I believe God’s Words of Accuracy Inerrancy and SUFFICIENCY.
Amen! Sola Scriptura.

@@icedragon1000 Can you specifically explain what you mean?
Both this and Mike Winger’s series on Women in Ministry = needed Biblical perspectives
I was raised in church and believed I was saved since age 4 but I was truly deceived until God saved me in my mid 30s. Before that, as a woman, I would have vociferously challenged anyone who said women couldn't pastor. Now I wouldn't have had a biblical leg to stand on, but that wouldn't have stopped me. It's incredible how God-given belief in the sufficiency and authority of scripture drastically changes your views on these issues.
Praise God that He didn't let you remain presumptuous about your salvation!!
God said it. That is enough
amen amen amen. It’s only pride that fights God on this. God resist the proud. The humble person accepts this for what it is.
Amen.
2 Timothy 3:16-17.
Amen!
Ironic for us to live in a society that so heavily criticizes the treatment of women in the Bible, not recognizing that we only do so because the Bible so revolutionized the way culture treats and values women. Same way that society wants to condemn the Bible's allowance for slavery, not recognizing that it's owing to the Bible that society even feels that slaves deserve to be viewed as humans and not mere property.
Paul clearly says that it is a command of God not his opinion.
Women must not have spiritual athority
Over men. Because of Eve
THANK YOU FOR THE BOLDNESS TO SPEAK IT AS IT IS WRITTEN.. IT IS TIME THAT WE AS WOMEN KNOWS WHERE WE STAND AS BELIEVERS IN THE BODY..I BELIEVE WE KNOW BUT BECAUSE OF WHO MANY OF US ARE. WE WANT TO BE ABOVE THE MEN IN OUR LIVES JUST LIKE EVE. WE WISH THAT ALL MEN WILL BE LIKE ADAM I THANK GOD FOR EVERY PASTOR THAT TEACHES THE TRUE GOSPEL OF CHRIST AND FOR THE WOMEN THAT ARE STANDING BY THEIR SIDE ..AS GOD'S WORD SAID....WE ARE NOT THE HEAD! MEN ARE!
Amen!
ONLY God strengthens us.
Let us love God more and understand that this order doesn't just pertain to the church but also family and civil areas as well.
I don't think Scripture limits women in civil pursuits does it?
@@jamesdean1989 Absolutely. God doesn't change the order of things depending on the venue. The order happened at creation and it was good. Women's "liberation" is a 21st century movement that has been conjured up by the enemy so as to disrupt the order God has set in place. Women have bought this empowering role reversal and fed it to many weak men. It's the same thing that happened in the garden. Satan deceived Eve and then Adam believed her. Most people forget that the thing that God first stated in the curse upon Adam was believing his wife over God. (Genesis 3:16 KJV) Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
(Genesis 3:17 KJV) And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
I also added the previous verse (curse of upon Eve) because it explicitly states that "he shall rule over you". For it was Adam who was formed first, then Eve from his rib. Adam named his wife. Also, the word tells us that woman is made for man, not the other way around. I hope this helps. There is a preponderance of evidence in the scriptures for the doctrine of order. Women need to be taught these things by their husbands and church elders; for the sake of love, souls and all that is good.
@@darrenvanderwagen Know that my prayers are for you and not against you. Blessings in Christ Jesus, friend.
This is absolute GOLD 🙏🏼

Derek Prince did a great sermon on womens roles within the church. Something he touched upon was the branch of humanism that has infiltrated the church and that is feminism. God clearly has set an order to things with male and female. The man is the spiritual head of the home and within the church is the one who holds the roles of elder, and roles that hold positions of teaching. Woman’s role is helper to man and as Derek Prince put it, the Holy Spirit in some translations of scripture is called the helper and what a privilege and blessing for women to have the position of ‘Helper’ along side man.
Womens issues within the church and their biblical positions are not with man but with God and His creative order of things.
Women shall have no position of authoritative teaching or spiritual authority over man or the church. Scripture is clear on that!
Be careful of Derek Prince, as he partnered with Roman Catholics. I think I've also read that many of his claims of healing could not be substantiated. One ministry website a use to read up about heretics and movements is WAY OF LIFE LITERATURE by David Cloud, a missionary to Nepal.
@@AmericaineAParis there’s always something negative about the best of pastors/preachers etc that is said or claimed. Derek prince was a flawed believer in Jesus Christ just like the rest of us believers. I don’t endorse any man but I do give respect and a credible word when and wherever it is due and in this case I give some credit to Derek Prince and his teaching on womens roles within the church.
But, ultimately Almighty God aka Jesus Christ is the true judge of all of us!
@@NazSBG If his own claims of countless miraculous healings cannot be verified, it is best to have nothing to do with this charlatan. Pentecostals have also consistently had the most terrible scandals as the tradition has never been biblically faithful.
Agree mostly, but it’s also giftedness: God didn’t arbitrarily assign the roles for men and women: he designed men and women to function in specific ways in the roles. The difference in giftedness should also be cherished. I’ll never be a mother to my kids, my wife is uniquely gifted, biologically and in her nature, to do that. Vice versa. We shouldn’t blush at that either
That is a good point. I heard Voddie once say about woman claiming to be gifted by God to preaching, he said that we don't get to do everything we want to do even if we feel gifted to do it, a man may feel he is gifted to be the husband of many wives, but it his clear in scripture he is to be the husband of one wife.

Today I’d be far less concerned with a woman spreading the gospel than men with multiple wives. These days men with multiple wives usually end up creating some sort of cult following and are super manipulative, power hungry, sexually addicted sociopaths. Culturally, times seemed to have changed. Women are now educated and have the same resources as men to study, learn, read, write and preach. Something they did not commonly have in biblical times and for sure in Corinth. Is it right? Is it wrong? Is it a sin? Does it change your salvation? Will a women die one day and be judged for spreading the gospel?
@@sk8nchill52 is it a sin? Yes, because it is against God's will. Will it change your salvation? Not obeying Gods Word can lead to disobedience on other topics and that is happening (for example LHBT approval).
@@JV-jq4dt so you’re saying women teaching is a sin but it will not change their salvation? Ok fine. You’ll see all those teaching women in Heaven one day standing right next to you.
@@sk8nchill52 that is not for me to judge nor for you. Nevertheless they should repent from their sin.
Private interpretations of scripture (2 Peter 1:20) are not allowed and is rebellion against God, so, yes that is very dangerous.

What I would like to hear more of is why these men believe God has not ordained the role of a pastor to women and why it can have damaging effects on the health of the church.
For me the danger is the cowardness of men. Which (male) pastor still preaches about repentance for example.
So woman is not called to preach the gospel
No
@@user-ql6pe8ct5g if you believe that my friend you need to be born again
@@vaniceman5195 Into what? Woman are not called to preach or teach or have authority in the church
Women can preach the gospel, also called evangelizing. Being in Church leadership, i.e. pastor, bishop is a different story.
@@CL_G Where is it written that they can or that they should? Yes women can and should evangelize, but are they supposed to preach to a crows or congregation?
If you enjoy conversations, debates, and Bible studies that deal with the controversy of female pastors, try Randall Arthur’s novel A Quiet Roar. You’ll love it. It’s an internationally-based drama that earns 4.5 stars on Amazon. Readers rave about it. One reader writes: “An attractive female pastor is imposed on a conservative Baptist church in rural Georgia and all hell breaks loose.” Randall Arthur is also the author of the bestselling novel Wisdom Hunter.
So y’all hear that women .. y’all can’t even speak in church! Be silence! Don’t say a word!

The Gospel:
Plain and
Simple
“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent
beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your
minds should be corrupted from the simplicity
that is in Christ.” - 2 Corithians 11:3
Ask someone today if they are saved and
you will most likely hear responses like these:
“I have accepted Jesus into my heart.” Or “I
have made him Lord of my life.” “I’ve been
baptized.” “I said a prayer.” Sounds all good
and churchy don’t it; but it is difficult to de-termine whether or not a person actually
knows the gospel that saves them. These useless phrases don’t describe a thing about what
the gospel is and has left a devastating effect
of people not knowing what it is that they are
saved from nor how they are saved; which
leaves a more serious effect of people questioning their salvation.
Let’s not muddy the simplicity of salvation that is in Christ with vague church
sounding phrases that do not communicate
anything. But rather present God’s word with
clarity and assuredness. So here is the gospel:
plain and simple.
Sin was passed upon all men by one man
Adam, and death is a consequence of this sin
(Rom 5:12). Mankind has an eternal destiny of
condemnation and wrath - Hell - because of
this sin (Rom 6:23). No matter what good
works one might do we are still found sinners
in the sight of our Creator God. And all unrighteousness and those who follow get indignation and wrath. We cannot be found
righteous for by God’s law we are found sinners (Rom 3:19-20). If we have broken even
one law we are found guilty.
It is for this reason of not being able to
create our own righteousness and being born
in a sinful flesh that we need a savior (Titus
3:5). Christ is that Savior, God manifested in
the flesh, sinless, died in our place on a cross
2000 years ago. Taking upon him the wrath
and judgement that was intended for us sinners. And it is through his bloodshed, burial,
and resurrection on our behalf that we are
able to have peace with God and forgiveness
of our sins (1 Cor 15:1-4, Col 3:14). This good
news is unto all but only those that believe in
it are made righteous in Christ (Romans
3:22).
It is then after we have heard this good
news of Christ’s righteousness available to us freely, that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit
and we are now part of Christ’s body the
church (Eph 1:13)
There is nothing that we need to do, no
good works that are required, and no bad
works that can separate us from our new position in Christ (Romans 8:35-39).
Faith and belief in this information from
God’s word is the gospel.
The gospel is not accepting Jesus into your
heart. The gospel is not making him lord of
your life, it is not saying a prayer and it is not
being baptized with water.
So next time someone asks you if you are
saved. Give them the clear assured answer
“Yes! And let me tell you why
