This Nissan SUPREME work bench love the way u routed the dog holes. Never thought of doing that! They work flawless. Definitely going to try tht on my next work bench build ur s true craftsman and inspiration for woodworkers like me!")
How can this video only have 848 views? Beautiful bench, good cinematography, professional level cabinetmaking - great! Would love to see more of your work, subscribed.
Ty, agreed! I only saw this just now, after perusing so much dreck from other sources about benches and woodworking in general. Must be an example of the tyranny of algorithms. But I differ, this fellow goes well beyond professionalism to the niche of Gentleman Craftsman, a category I just coined for myself. All success to him, and only eleven more benches to go for the rest of his students.
Puedes orientarme? Tb me he fijado que tienes unas herramientas manuales increíbles y no sé si hay alguna tienda on lunes dnd se pueda consultar que estén bien de precio. Muchas gracias y enhorabuena por tu trabajo!
Hi Germán: I found your course on building the bench and am about to purchase it, as I really, really want to build this spectacular bench. You are an inspiration! May I ask one more technical question? I see that you cut a slot in the bottom of the bench top and you inserted the rear jaw into it and screwed it down. I just purchased the same exact vise. The rear jaw is 88.9mm deep. But your bench top, according to your other video in Castellán, is only 80mm thick. How could you do this without the rear jaw protruding from the top?
I am just getting into woodworking as a hobby and by good fortune have stumbled onto you page. I have purchased several tools, among them the Lie Nielsen 5 1/2 jack plane and 60 1/2 block plane as you recommend. I also have a band saw, Bosch router and a Dewalt thickness planer. I definitely will never be able to afford that awesome jointer you have, and I don't have the space for it anyway. I was also researching bench designs in preparation for building my garage workshop. I looked at everything, especially the Christopher Schwarz anarchist's workbench, which, up until now, looked to be the one I liked over all the others. But I definitely like your design the best. It is the most beautiful and functional, in my opinion, and the one I would like to build. But I have a few technical questions, if you don't mind. Which Gordon's tail vise did you use? The 100mm or the 150mm? Also, can you explain how you made the bench dog wooden springs? How do you make one end protrude from the body of the dog so it provides the proper tension? Additionally, can you explain exactly how to make the Charlesworth design jig to rout the holes? Finally, what bolts did you use to hold the legs together? Thank you in advance for your guidance.
@@germanperaire7859 Thank you, Germán! I eagerly look forward to your video workshop and building your bench. If it comes out in Spanish first, I'll watch that, too. My Spanish is passable. I just don't know the technical woodworking vocabulary (I didn't know it in English either until a short while ago). Again, many thanks. I look forward to following your You Tube videos.
14:30, second from the left and third from the right are a little out of place. Edit: I think I would use a little stick to bump them all into rank, like good soldiers. Edit: Just having some fun with you, Germán. All respect to your efforts and skills!

Why did you go with that style of face vise? why not some classic scandinavian shoulder vise? or twin screw or smth..

Are the dominoes the only things connecting the top to the base? I am currently making a bench and may use your idea? Is it working well?
Great bench.
Wow. Six days a week for two years is a long build, but worth it!
@@germanperaire7859 is this a good solution also for a single laminated top (not splitted)?
Como se llama la pieza que metes que es como un pequeño nudillo que sirve para apretar las piezas
Love the build, is the top Beech wood?

Where did you get all that money for such tools? Each of your tool costs fortune.
