Awesome. I love that I got my wish so soon: Ajay reviewing a (high-end) luxury car. I am really glad you enjoyed this car in person. Sadly, I doubt I ever will...at least not a brand new one. Too exclusive and rare, so it is unlikely I will experience it in person. It has been years since I experienced a Mercedes-Maybach. Yeah. I am sure this is extremely luxurious and comfortable. The Benz GLS is already extreme, so I can only imagine the Maybach-ed variant. Sadly...only imagine. Would be great if I could at least just sit in it. Wow. It sounds so silence while driving and being driven in. I am watching this with headphones, and sounds like the new S-Class I experienced. Incredible. Hehe, Jonas is awesome in the back, lol. Interesting points from him too. That place you filmed the tour of the car still has those three plants that creep me out, lol. They should hide them every time I come there. What a lovely place, though. True *_excellence_* right there, lol.

I know I'm not the target of these type of cars but it's strange to me that Maybach chose to mantain a lot of front and back designs from the regular GLS, don't the Maybach customers care about their cars looking like a "normal" Mercedes? 🤔
Great review thank you :). Its fascinating to see cars like this, its so far removed from what I use a car for or gain enjoyment from that I would never consider buying one even if I could afford it. For me, a large part of car ownership are the aesthetics and I find this both hideously ugly and tasteless in its combination of materials and trims and its apparent complete disregard for its environmental impact. Large SUVs with the possible.exception of the Range Rover pretty much all fall into the same trap but I have to say the Maybach is class leading in this respect. A bit like the Maybach saloon, I cant really see the point in this vehicle and what it offers over the Mercedes on which its based. Fair enough if you absolutely are hell bent on spending as much money as possible on a tarted up Merc I suppose. However there are alternatives out there that are better for the planet, better for your wallet and better for gazing at and enjoying. Still, at least we can now all stop saying that the Cullinan is the worst looking SUV on the market........possibly.
None of these modern cars will never became classics. They are all the same. This is expensive, this is luxurious etc. NO character at all. Designers are sterile, coustumers are shallow.

You can have all the technology in the world (which by the way) people are not to bothered about.But if it is poorly designed and ugly,and this is, I would rather have the new Aston Martin SUV.
You can be poor and have taste or obscenely rich and have no taste it seems. It looks like Mercedes bought a job lot of cast iron radiators from a company tasked with the job of updating a stately home and decided to stick them on the front of their cars.

Looks are really not a strong point. Just does not have the look of an ultra luxury car. Much rather drop the cash on a fully loaded E-tron Sportback.
But you won't. So what you want is irrelevant.

If this is a Maybach, shouldn’t it be a V12 rather than the 4.0 V8? I thought the V8 was in the base S-class.
