  • Bob V. and I originally find what seems to be an abandoned ruins of a building and stumble upon an abandoned homestead with EVERYTHING left behind. The home is a mess with antiques that surprise us. No vandalism other than the former owners mess of beer cans and relics. Seems weird everything is cluttered and unorganized, but left behind!

The hole you found at 14:15 is most likely where people dumped their trash back then and someone was bottle digging the area.

Great explore. Amazing what gets left behind or forgotten about. It's sad in a way, that family doesn't step up and either sell or fix up these properties. Might be caught up in probate to settle an estate. Years ago, I learned, turning, threading, boring, etc. on a lathe very much like the one you discovered. It was from the Navy for World War 1. Thanks for bringing me along on this little adventure. 👍🏻

I think you are in the family cemetery. It was common to have one on the land in the old days. Our family has two over 300 acres. Made quite a mess when my great grandmother passed and the land was split.

can anyone say the word trespassing? I know if some was stumbling around at my old buildings they might just get a load of buckshot coming their way. ive seen so many of these RUclips videos of people "exploring" "abandoned" property with no permission from the owner of the property. where I live others respect others property and dont go trespassing wether someone is living there or not and there are plenty of empty houses and buildings here in the heart of Appalachia. unless there might be a "for sale" sign on it then thats a different story. if you got permission or its public property then thats a different story.

It's been abandoned for 15 yrs. If I knew who the owner was id ask. Always wanted to see that bus. The mining company is inement domaining the area weather people live here or not. I remember more homes here, but one by one they got torn down. And I didn't give any information where it is.
Plus there weren't any signs, doors wide open, and the place is an eyesore. Just admiring ones past and I was respectfull enough not to disturb or vandalize anything. I do want to find out about who owns it because I am interested in some stuff
I'm surprised no one took over the place....it must have been a nice home

As long as there are no signs that say "private property" or " no trespassing," he's good to go. Also Karen, read up on the gun laws before you end up getting yourself in trouble.

DOCUMENTING IS NOT TRESPASSING...Trespassing is a civil matter..You need to research your Law before thrownig accusations...Respect, But as long as there is no Damage or harm caused It,s not a problem..
