i think this might be the first gen 2 video on youtube. im glad ef finally followed through with there promise from the first gen of having a hop. proprietary sadly but its so cheap to just get another if the thing breaks and its not like it needs to shoot to much further XD
I've used this video three or four times to disassemble and work on my H8R, thank you so much for such a high quality and clear video with her insides on full view.
the h8r has always been massively intriguing to me, it seems to be the perfect secondary for new players (cheap, comes with extra cassetes, and co2 powered) but I've only seen one actually being played on a field
Been wondering for ages about doing/commissioning a full-body replacement. Keep the internals & disc mag, but with an older Webley-style body. This will really help with that, thanks!
Sorry I thought that silencers couldnt do much to co2 guns because there isnt any powder explosion and co2 guns are subsonic so they are pretty quiet already
H8rs look amazing. I just wish they had green gas versions for it. I hate the idea of putting a new C02 cartridge if I just want to fire off a couple rounds.
Yeah, you can leave it in the gun though so not such a big deal and the co2 is very inexpensive anyway so if you do want to leave it ungassed then it's not a massive cost!
I put everything back together successfully, except for a small metal plate with a spring and small bar on it, where does this piece go? It has numbers of the back of it: c47542d
@@johnbrickster4224 I wouldn't, it'll look rubbish and also removing the orange tip isn't that hard.. Disassemble the h8r before trying to take the tip off though or you could ruin the hop
I doubt you can as they're such a cheap bit of kit to purchase, try Umarex customer service or ask your local Airsoft shop if they can source it for you.
Is it possible to break the hop path with the adjusting screw? (without shooting) I found that if I put too much hop, the path gets an irregular shape.
@@chantzcarr6350 you still should! They're great fun and it's not hard to add a pistol threaded adapter, WE make - 11mm to - 14mm adapters, you can superglue it into the muzzle one you remove the orange tip!
Rich Upton You have to glue it on? Does the we adapter not just screw on after you take the orange tip off, looking for something very durable specially for a tracer unit. Don’t like the looks of the berettas and 1911 are too common, sorry for the short story but would you happen to know if the we bulldog compact has threading or do you have to glue the adapter on as well? Thanks for the info🙏
@@chantzcarr6350 yes there's no threading on the H8R unless you use a - 11mm tap and thread it yourself, which is tricky into plastic. Maybe you could get it modelled and 3D printed in steel..?
Had the clip release spring in mine jam up and get ridiculously tight, guide was very helpful even if im three years late to it. Much appreciated

Glad it's been of use to you, the audio is rubbish, posted it in a hurry and never got round to cleaning it up! 😊

Hi, what's the name of the optics and silencer, thank you!
could you make a video guide on putting a silencer on it?
You dont need a silencer on a co2 gun, the ones you buy are mock suppressors that dotn do anything
@@fishinggod9797 no i got a novirtsch foam filled suppressor, but thanks random person on the internet for you reply

Literally just screw it on.
@@hayman1222 thank you random youtube viewer for your input
my trigger doesnt go back forward and i have to push it back myself this vid was very helpful
If you look at the plate with the trigger, you can see the small spring on the front of the trigger, I had the same problem

If you want to remove the orange tip I'd recommend using a hairdryer on it
I have the gun but the place where you put the Allen key is missing where can I get a new one
Theres also a version designed for .50 cal paintballs and self defense ammo such as salt, pepper spray, and tear gas.
Does the internal metal parts is superglued to the plastic body? Or you can just easily remove it?
Not glued in buddy!

Great video bud, can you tell me the thread size for attaching silencers please? I have a gen 2 coming soon.
No thread you have to attach one yourself. The WE 11mm-14mm adapter for pistols works great with a bit of glue!
Can I glue it right on the orange tip?
@@johnbrickster4224 I wouldn't, it'll look rubbish and also removing the orange tip isn't that hard.. Disassemble the h8r before trying to take the tip off though or you could ruin the hop

I just wanna know if it takes standard gbb hop rubbers and barrel
No it doesn't, it's proprietary. Looks a bit like a fixed hop bucking you get in a trishot shotgun...
Is it possible to break the hop path with the adjusting screw? (without shooting) I found that if I put too much hop, the path gets an irregular shape.
Hi yes this is why I've modified the hop patch and adjuster with Sugru.
I decided to fix the hop finally, the adjustment lever is a shit, the original path is working better without it.
Does that orange tip have threading if you take it off
Nope sadly, you have to thread it yourself..!
Rich Upton thank u so much almost bought this lmao

How long is the inner barrel?
If i remember correctly it's 145mm
Would the hop up rubber be similar to the one kjw uses on their mk1 series?
It's basically half a hop bucking, like the ones in trishot shotguns...
@@richupton haven't seen those, I know the m700 has a patch bucking as well like the kjw one
How did you get a tracer unit on the end of that?
I removed the orange tip and then used an 11mm tap to cut a thread. The tracer unit is an XT301 which has a built-in 11mm thread.
