This is the best you tube craps video I have seen so far. It still doesn't win more @ an equally hot table or lose less @ an equally cold table as my aggressive odds strategy does but not as marginal as other craps strategies are. The only problem here is you have to make your 6/8 work on all front line come outs otherwise you are needlessly leaving $ on the table if most of the 6 /8 are thrown on the front line come outs. Agree?
Just watched this video, been playing craps for 25 years. I was a little frustrated when odds on the first point was were paid out incorrectly. Then I saw your follow up recognizing the mistake. I appreciate that, you gained my respect. I have a felt, not nearly as nice as yours, and teach folks all the time. I want to convert my pool table to a craps table. Hope we run into each other at a table someday, I’ve played with some interesting people including Jerome Bettis and Jerry Jones in LV.
Trust me, not that easy to play, deal, record, and teach at same time. I make mistakes and try and note them when I notice them. See you at the tables :)
I'm very new to Craps and your videos are some of the best tutorials out there. The only thing I would add is maybe a counter to show what your bank-roll is at any given time so we can always see what you are up or down as the video goes on and the strategies play out. Thanks for all the good info!
Matt Erculiani thanks for the feedback, I have played around with that idea...it just takes way to much time, I have been able to add what I win or lose with each throw
I’ve modified this strategy for when I roll. I will do this strategy when people I don’t trust are rolling, and with guys that I feel are capable of long rolls, I will play across all of the numbers along with a pass line bet, using the place bet as my odds for that number when it’s the point. I increase my bet 50% (rounding up) on every hit and increase my pass line 1 unit each time. Just takes one good roll in 2-4 hours to color up big. Obviously a lot of quick 7 outs back to back are awful, which is why I don’t do it on every roller.
I probably hav all those books. When I started learning to play. I bought every book I could find at the used book stores. My husband thought I was nuts. But I’ve been able to win enough to pay for our trips usually.
@@ColorUp try a variance of the cross everybody love winning on everyroll except 7 maybe a low risk growth strategy going into cross when you are in profit?
Another great video. Similar to how I play. Got a suggestion. I really like that you show the "+" and "-" on a hit. Can you add a running count? Either the current profit/loss or your current bankroll with a % up or down. Or even to the current hand profit.
Like you, I've read lots'a books on craps. The BEST by far is THE DICE DOCTOR by Sam Grafstein. His basic pass line method and place 6/8 has stood me well....low stakes or high.
I made mistakes, starting with the first hit at 03:20, 6 with $10 odds pays out 6:5 not 3:2 so I should have paid $12 not $15 for the odds - at 09:55 the 8 with $30 odds - should have paid $36 not $35
I take it you're a one man show doing everything, plus probably working full time and raising a family so mistakes are expected. I barely noticed the error because I was focusing on more important aspects of the video.
When you place the 6 and 8, the payout is 7:6 and not 6:5. Only when you put odds on the pass line bet, the payout is 6:5 which are the true odds. In this strategy, the money is put on the bets with the lowest house edge on the table. However, there is still around 1,5% house edge on all these bets except for the odds bet.
I have been working on this new strategy. it's $110 inside with 5-9. works pretty well usually I only bet on myself unless unless he or she rolls a 7 out of the way on the come out roll. I would like to see a demonstration on random rolling just to see how it looks. after 1 hit $35 profit. I'm going to ask the dealer pull my bets down. then I only bet $5 or 6 on the point. I like to skip the come out unless I'm rolling. ok then if a # up top hits then I will place another bet gradually. I'm not going to press till all the # hit. after that far take the first 1 press the second 1. enjoy your videos. Thanks for passing on your knowledge...
I could see this strategy do well with the dark side, but the odds wouldn't play well unless you put your profit after the place bets on the odds for the don't.
I commented to the Dice Coach, but when I double checked his video feed there wasn't anything recent. Anyways, I'll give you a shot at it: Hey there. I just kinda wanted to see your thoughts on something here about the Big 6 and Big 8 because nobody talks about it. The scenario is a tiny bankroll of $100. The strategy is a Don't Pass followed with a Big 6, Big 8 as a hedge. So let's say 10 on Don't Pass, and 5 each on Big 6 and Big 8. At the come-out, 8 roll combinations lose, 3 combos win, and box-cars push for DON'TS. After come out, with minimum bets on Big 6 and Big 8 there is now $20 in action (versus 22), but really only $10 at risk if the point rolls. Now I have 6,7,8 covered and doing alright with odds against outside points. If the point is a 4 or 10, I'm thinking of putting those extra 2 chips on hard 4 or hard 10. So now only 2 rolls beat me. Another related question that is not addressed: a player can "place" Big 6 and Big 8 on his own, but can they pull it down on their own too? I'd kinda like to just inform the dealer I'm pulling my Big 6 and Big 8-- but I don't know if it's allowed.
Never bet the Big 6/8. It only pays even money. with a casino edge of 9%. You can place the 6/8 and get paid 7:6 for only a 1.5% casino edge. Most craps tables are removing the Big 6/8 for that reason, and in fact, the gaming commission deemed it bad enough that casinos aren't even allowed to have the bet in Atlantic City. You can take a big 6/8 down anytime, it is not a "contract" bet like the pass line. That being said I show an example of what you are saying with this strategy video here. ruclips.net/video/InIIQsUAFiE/видео.html
In case Newbees are watching, you overpaid the odds on the 6 at 3:20 time mark. 3 to to is for 5 & 9, the 6 & 8 pay 6 to 5. So you overpaid the odds bet on the six. $25 instead of $22.
So based on the come out number, the odds you put behind the pass line bet has to be a certain amount? It can't just 10$ for every number (4,5,6,8.9.10)?
This strategy may change amounts in odds just for the strategy purpose, I don't remember this one, I did a long time ago. In general though odds are effected by the point number. The 4/10 pays at 2:1 so any amount in odds works. The 5/9 pays 3:2 so the amount has to be in increments of 2 (basically any even number) The 6/8 pays 6:5 so the amount needs to be in increments of 5. $10 in odds will work for every number. Again the amount in odds for this particular video may change just for strategy purposes. I hope this answers your question.
Color Up yes it does! Is there any way to reach you personally? I’d love to discuss more about craps and I think you have the best Videos on Craps overall hands down

I really don’t understand the strategies of pressing into house edge bets. Doesn’t this just push more money toward the house? Personally, Im a max odds 3 point Molly player.
3 point Molly also has house edge, yes over time you will lose less money according to math theory. but that long term math doesn’t help much in your 2 hour session, just depends how the dice roll. It’s gambling and you need a little luck, you can’t ever have a house edge over the casino in craps.
Can I make a Don't pass bet after the come out roll? Horseshoe in Iowa casino said I couldn't do that unless I had a bet on the Don't Pass Line at the come out roll
Douglas Chase that’s correct, after the come out roll a don’t bet has the advantage so you have to bet it before the come out roll when it is at a disadvantage...this makes it almost even bet for both you and casino, if you could just make after, the casino would lose most of the time
Color Up Question. I'm on the dont pass line. Point is 5. Can I make a bet on 4 not to pass without going through the Don't Come Bet roll and if so how do I ask for it?
Yep, its called a Lay bet or some times called a No bet, so tell the dealer you would like to Lay the four, or give me a No four. It is paid at the true odds minus a 5% commission and depending on casino, the commission will be paid when bet is made or after you win the bet.
Jabberjaw if your question is why $6 increments instead of $5 like the other numbers it’s because the payoff is $7 for every $6 bet....if you only bet $5 the payoff would be around $5.80 which they would round down to only $5
You are correct, I made mistakes, starting with the first hit at 03:20, 6 with $10 odds pays out 6:5 not 3:2 so I should have paid $12 not $15 for the odds - You pointed out the 8 with $30 odds - should have paid $36 not $35 at 09:55, thank you for bringing this to my attention!
@@Phil_548 Yes, but I usually don't catch mistakes during editing, but only after published on youtube and others point out. I am not going to delete, re-edit, re-upload. So I do my best to make notes in comments. Most videos I catch my mistakes in video and note them.
Getting Bent With Bo well in the example, initial bet is $56 on a $10 table. I typically like to have 10x that amount so I can try with at least 10 different shooters. On a $5 table it would be $12 6/8 $10 for pass /odds so $220 bankroll - I like 10x cause typically you won’t lose 10 shooters in a row, you could bring enough for 5 shooters, just bring what your comfortable with, have fun, and only gamble what you can afford to lose...good luck
I'm confused. I thought the 6 & 8 was 5 would pay you 6 (6 to 5 odds). So why isn't the increments in $5 when laying odds on the 6 & 8? How did you come up with $18 pays you $21
Well, I watched the videos but he doesn't really cover how "the rest of his system" works, I guess you had to purchase it at some time. No system is worth money, there is no secret formula to beat craps, no matter how you arrange certain house edge bets, there is always an edge. The beginning part is just using Pass line and come bets, which are smart, low house edge bets though
True, starting with a pass line double odds and one come bet double odds is a decent way to play, Then take odds, down and invest the money won on the come line say 10$, as one of these hits, press the come with half of it,, I been doing 10, to 15 to 20, 30 then 40, 60,, On a decent roll you could have 4 or 5 numbers covered at 30 eah,, then on a come that's at 40, if the 7 comes then it is a 80$ win. It has potential,, Just thought you might add to it,, I like it as most of the time when the first come bet hits and you put money on the come the 7 shows soon, so its kind of a a hedge to get your money off the table.
Really enjoy your videos. Good production and graphics. Would you like to try a method for the dont players? I think that it works well at a $10 table. I worked it up from The Dice Doctor and some other influences and observations. It is a 15-10 play on the dont pass and DC. Lay the odds on the better value, eg. Pass is a 6 and DC is a ten. Lay $20 odds on the 10. Or if 5-10 lay the 10,or 6-9,lay the 9. If a 6-8, lay no odds or go for another DC. Stack any craps rolls any make a yo bet to cover the comeout. Don't lay odds on the parlayed bets and stop betting on the shooter if they roll a natural or make a number.
I REALLY like this strategy a LOT, but here is what I would do differently: I would first collect my money if either the 6 or 8 hits, and then for the 2nd hit on either one of those numbers, THEN I would do that increase, and then just keep doing that, so this way I can keep a little more money and potentially recover my investment before a seven-out!
Went to my local casino last night & bought in on the craps table for $500... I always play the iron cross and the hard ways with the Don't .. hit the Hard 4. Hard 6 & hard 8... All in a row.. pay is 9:1 after about 10 minutes I noticed the dealers were pocketing over 40% of MY winnings... Is this normal..?
I have a chance to play the tables soon, think I may use this strategy. its simple and it wins...but with a hot shooter, though. Ill try it and let you know. New Fan. Love the page!
Yes. Maybe there is some casino out there that allows unlimited that I'm unaware of. Some have up to 100x odds but rare, more typical is the 3,4,5x, sometimes 5x and sometimes 10x. And all are subject to table limit
It is a recording of casino sounds I made, I had in a few videos, but got a lot of complaints about the noise so I stopped. Currently reside in Colorado.
Color Up I really enjoyed learning craps the hard way (loosing a lot of $$$) but you have a gift Sir. Such a great teacher. I have a pretty cool strategy I use and it's high risk high reward, it sucks. Haha
+jeffrey olafson I would put $5 on the line with single odds of $5 or $6 and $12 each on 6/8 so $34 or $35 total depending on point per shooter - I like to bring 10x so $350 bankroll would be recommended
I recommend 10x outlay or about $550 for $10 table, or $350 for $5 table. In the video I just had $300 there, but was only down a little to start with and then started winning, so never needed much from my bankroll.
Hey how’s it going? I don’t actually know anything about really any gambling things. Craps. Blackjack, poker nothing I’ve found this video through watching static’s videos lol. It’s very interesting but about 2 rolls before you hit the 7. I was saying to myself you should pull out the odds of hitting 7 are greatly increasing. I’ve been watching a couple of your videos and some you have a cut off or collect your profit some you don’t. I wonder why. But you know when your driving and your coming up to a stop light of course we’re talking about a timed light but it’s green or red. Your driving up to it the longer it stays that color the more of a chance it has to change. So a red light has a greater chance of being green and vise versa same thing with dice. The longer you roll a non 7 the greater chance the dice will land on 7. I also realize to win you need to increase your bet but wouldn’t it be advantageous to increase your losing bet once again losing after losing is less likely the more you lose therefore betting on what just lost should produce a win. But more so after 7 straight wins I think you should have reset and collected your money. Of course hindsight 20/20 easy to see that now but you were always going to lose if you keep doubling
Start at 1x odds? Sorry, at least 50%. If a table is 3,4,5x and a 6 or 8 comes out, I would start w/ $25 w/ a $5 pass and then work up. By not doing that, giving the house a better advantage.
ben howell supply and demand...I think since I mentioned it a lot of sales, so price went way up....it’s a great book, but shouldn’t pay more than $10 or so
read some books.... never learn the odds of the dice roll.... bet higher on the most common number per the ability to roll that number. less on the least common numbers... go 8/4/2 8xmin on 6 and 8, 4xmin on 5 and 9, and 2xmin on 4 and 10....hit once then drop to minimum for each number hit... if you have money on the table beyond single unit across after 5 rolls you will lose in the long run..
not quite sure what you are trying to communicate...looks like you are suggesting a strategy you prefer, which is fine, but there is no perfect strategy, and they all depend on how the dice roll that day...thanks for watching and adding your input
I stopped the vid to see if it was my phone ringing upstairs....Lol. Just got back from Vegas, wish I would have watched your videos before I went. I would have come home a winner! Oh well, next time.
ALWAYSlikeansubscriv no you cannot. Every bet has a casino edge, meaning you can win money sometimes but in the long run you will always lose a percentage of your money to the casino.
Your video was very good at describing the strategy. Unfortunately, your result should not be considered typical as you only rolled two 7's out of many rolls. That obviously can happen, but it gives viewers the idea that this is a winning strategy. There's no such thing. If 7's come out with normal frequency, you're going to lose a lot of money quickly with this strategy.
No results are typical in the short term. 30 rolls and only two 7's, odds say there should have been five 7's. I got lucky and beat the odds. I roll my videos in one take, the results are what the results are...if you watch my other strategy videos most end up being losers, I don't care whether they win or lose, I don't manipulate them, I am just trying to provide a service and show different ways to play. Thanks for watching and your comments.
Won a ton off of the 6 and 8 one time by just maxing out the odds on both . Cool thing about it is that you don't necessarily need a hot shooter to win a ton off the odds on the 6 and 8. Just bet more on those odds, the shooter majority of the time usually hits 6 or 8 at least once.
Patriot Times you are correct 6/8 odds pay 6:5, 6/8 place bets pay 7:6...I very well may have made mistake in video, it’s not uncommon for me to do so. Sorry about that
It’s only one way to win at craps placebetting. You need qualifying rolls meaning-after the point is established-you should wait to place a bet till like the 4th 5th 6th 7th roll to avoid quick outs which kills bank roll. Me personally-I bet one number then spread it out after I pay myself but it’s boring waiting on another 6 or 8 to hit in ten rolls. Real crap players-We like hard ways hi-lows and nickel yo’s. So I no longer play. The longer you stay the more money you give back/and/or lose. Do you know how many quick 7 outers come in a two hour session? At least 20. Roll a point-one-two-3 rolls later??? Seven pick up!! It’s hard to play on a cold table so go find a hot table
I made some T-shirts for myself, want one too? Available on Amazon goo.gl/pZb2xF
I’m a realtor and I made a t-shirt that says. “ I sell real estate to support my gambling addiction”.

Quick question, maybe trivial or beginners question. But why is it at most $10 tables in Vegas, minimum for 6/8 is in increments of $12?
Jabberjaw well it’s still increments of $6, but have to start above that $10 minimum so $12, $18, $24, $30 etc
Jabberjaw if your question is why $6 increments instead of $5 like the other numbers it’s because the payoff is $7 for every $6 bet....if you only bet $5 the payoff would be around $5.80 which they would round down to only $5
There a few mistake on buy outs. $30 odds on 8 should of pay $36 not $35
You are correct, I made mistakes, starting with the first hit at 03:20, 6 with $10 odds pays out 6:5 not 3:2 so I should have paid $12 not $15 for the odds - You pointed out the 8 with $30 odds - should have paid $36 not $35 at 09:55, thank you for bringing this to my attention!
Still a great video regardless, keep up the good work ^_^
Panman9698 thanks!
@@ColorUp It'd help to add captions in the videos at those spots highlighting those mistakes.
@@Phil_548 Yes, but I usually don't catch mistakes during editing, but only after published on youtube and others point out. I am not going to delete, re-edit, re-upload. So I do my best to make notes in comments. Most videos I catch my mistakes in video and note them.
love that book. Remember he likes playing the dark-side.
what size bank roll do you start off on with this strategy
How did you come up with $18 pays you $21
pipbuster the 6/8 pays 6:5 on the “odds bet” after a pass or come bet. The 6/8 pays 7:6 on a place bet, so an 18$ place bet pays $7 for each $6 bet
Color Up,, what did you think of that craps blast strategy
Don't lay odds on the parlayed bets and stop betting on the shooter if they roll a natural or make a number.
joe jakovac thanks, at some point I’ll cover this or something very similar
joe jakovac odds bets have the same value regardless of point
Really wish you would add a running total when doing these strategy videos.
Berelore its a lot of work, since this is a hobby just not worth my time investment, but I would like to
Where did you get your Craps table from?
Its not a craps table, just my kitchen table with a layout i got from casion4you.com
I REALLY like this strategy a LOT, but here is what I would do differently:
I would first collect my money if either the 6 or 8 hits, and then for the 2nd hit on either one of those numbers, THEN I would do that increase, and then just keep doing that, so this way I can keep a little more money and potentially recover my investment before a seven-out!
I've been following you for awhile and this seems to be an easy to follow strategy.
hey man. watch a lot of your videos. good stuff. how about a list and some reviews of the craps books youve read
That’s a good idea, I think I would need to re-read to give fair review
I have a chance to play the tables soon, think I may use this strategy. its simple and it wins...but with a hot shooter, though. Ill try it and let you know. New Fan. Love the page!
How would you play this on a $5 table? $6 on the 6/8 and full press on the first hit on 6/8?
Yep, that would work

@@ColorUp i really love your answers 😂
I never encountered odds limit. Do all casinos have that?
Yes. Maybe there is some casino out there that allows unlimited that I'm unaware of. Some have up to 100x odds but rare, more typical is the 3,4,5x, sometimes 5x and sometimes 10x. And all are subject to table limit
Only place I've seen with 100x odds is the Cromwell in Vegas
You paid yourself 1.5x on odds during the first point. Point was six. Paid yourself 25, should have been 22.
Fredrick Allen thanks for catching mistake, pays 6:5 not 3:2
YOINK, my $3 now
Is that a slot machine sound in background?? Love your videos! Where do you live?
It is a recording of casino sounds I made, I had in a few videos, but got a lot of complaints about the noise so I stopped. Currently reside in Colorado.
Color Up I really enjoyed learning craps the hard way (loosing a lot of $$$) but you have a gift Sir. Such a great teacher. I have a pretty cool strategy I use and it's high risk high reward, it sucks. Haha
Email it to colorupcraps@gmail.com and maybe I’ll feature it some time.

whats the suggested bankroll for a fuve dollar table?
five
+jeffrey olafson I would put $5 on the line with single odds of $5 or $6 and $12 each on 6/8 so $34 or $35 total depending on point per shooter - I like to bring 10x so $350 bankroll would be recommended
50% on the 6/8 place bets in multiples of 6 correct? 18/30/42/66etc (hopefully! haha)
Graham Holms yep, multiples of 6
That was one of my first books I got and love it as well.

Color Up Well thanks dude
what was the starting bank roll?
I recommend 10x outlay or about $550 for $10 table, or $350 for $5 table. In the video I just had $300 there, but was only down a little to start with and then started winning, so never needed much from my bankroll.
My casino would have paid 12 for that odds bet. No the $15.
YES 12 is 100% correct
That’s the game in a nutshell, bet on the numbers and avoid the 7, you never know when it will roll, but eventually it will.
why make the "6 & 8" $6 bets?
Peacock The Music Man because the winning payoff is 7:6 or $7 for every $6 bet. If you bet $5 it would win $5.80 and be rounded down to only $5
are 4,5,9, & 10 paid the same (7:6) or something else?
Peacock The Music Man they are paid different... check out this video ruclips.net/video/DEqebpcDcgI/видео.html
Start at 1x odds? Sorry, at least 50%. If a table is 3,4,5x and a 6 or 8 comes out, I would start w/ $25 w/ a $5 pass and then work up. By not doing that, giving the house a better advantage.
that book is at least 65 dollars. why is it so expensive?
ben howell supply and demand...I think since I mentioned it a lot of sales, so price went way up....it’s a great book, but shouldn’t pay more than $10 or so
Was going to say the same thing. Looked at Amazon and thought it was an error till I looked elsewhere
I have that book.
Steven H. It’s old, but probably my favorite and learnt the most from
read some books.... never learn the odds of the dice roll.... bet higher on the most common number per the ability to roll that number. less on the least common numbers... go 8/4/2 8xmin on 6 and 8, 4xmin on 5 and 9, and 2xmin on 4 and 10....hit once then drop to minimum for each number hit... if you have money on the table beyond single unit across after 5 rolls you will lose in the long run..
not quite sure what you are trying to communicate...looks like you are suggesting a strategy you prefer, which is fine, but there is no perfect strategy, and they all depend on how the dice roll that day...thanks for watching and adding your input
done.
Need to do video on hammer lock caps if it's real
It is real. It does not win all the time like the author claims. Just like any strategy it will win sometimes, but not all the time.
I know it’s just me but that weird ding in the background or the t.v. Really made this video unwatchable for me. Really good video besides that

CRAP🔥🔥🔥
Hey man, gotta question. Can you actually make a living playing craps?
ALWAYSlikeansubscriv no you cannot. Every bet has a casino edge, meaning you can win money sometimes but in the long run you will always lose a percentage of your money to the casino.
Lost quite a bit; it’s ok 😳 wtf it’s never ok
No you are right, it’s never ok, but I only gamble what I can afford to lose, and always quite before I lose it all
Your video was very good at describing the strategy.
Thanks for watching and your comments.
bruce needleman shut your dirty mouth
This made me laugh
Rule #1 never talk about sevens at a table. Lol
Stupid to place bet 8. Use that money to max out odds on 6 which pays true odds
Thanks for leaving your opinion
Won a ton off of the 6 and 8 one time by just maxing out the odds on both . Cool thing about it is that you don't necessarily need a hot shooter to win a ton off the odds on the 6 and 8. Just bet more on those odds, the shooter majority of the time usually hits 6 or 8 at least once.
Hush
Power craps, what happens when you eat too much Taco Bell!
Six's and eight's pay 6 to 5. Your first win was on a 6 and should have been $22 not $25.
Patriot Times you are correct 6/8 odds pay 6:5, 6/8 place bets pay 7:6...I very well may have made mistake in video, it’s not uncommon for me to do so. Sorry about that
What an old book!
Ian Chamberlain oldy but goody, not too many “new” craps books
