How to Clean the Mower Deck of Your Exmark Mower | Exmark Mowers

Cleaning the mower deck of your Exmark lawnmower is critical to it running at peak performance and keep that high-quality cut.
A dirty and clogged mower deck prevents blades from properly cutting the grass due to the lack of airflow to discharge clippings. Maintaining your mower deck every day is easy with a few tools and an air compressor. Clean the top of the deck using an air compressor removing grass from belts and pullies and out of crevices. Don't use a pressure washer because the water can cause premature damage to the ball bearings and other parts.
On the bottom side, you'll want to remove the blades for easy access. Now you can begin to clean the bottom of the deck. You'll likely have more grass buildup on the bottom of the deck. Our experts suggest using a flat bar and putty knife for the job. They can easily remove grass and get into hard-to-reach areas of the deck.

Leaf blower after every mow for top side of deck and engine area(if mulching, or STIIIILL mowing with a full bag, blowing out the air filter is your friend), then blow under deck and mower body. Anything under the deck left over can be blown out with compressed air or scraped off(my preference since it's easier to pick up when not blown to bits) with a cheap plastic 4" putty knife(?😂) over the lawn for easy pick up and disposal.
Oooooor if you're a home farmer/gardener, let it build up (faster with dog poo yards) and produce mycelium then add the scrapings to your soil. Biggest chunks possible to spread the colony.

Not a good idea to blow your air filter, you could damage it with the air pressure and your engine will begin to attract debris

Paint scraper if it's just a little bit or Pressure washer.... Walker deck lifts up in about 3 seconds easy peasy I'm done work smarter not harder... I don't envy anyone who doesn't have a lift up deck like the Walker does
