I got the same except automatic not leather. Also and i too love it. I’ve also had about 4-5 rangers ant this one takes the cake. Mine has running boards and aftermarket stereo. I love it.
I like the grill on that one. I had a 99 Mazda B4000 same color as your truck. I also had a 97 Ranger XLT with the 4 cylinder. Miss them both ☹️ After I sold my 97, I cried like a baby 😭🙄
Holy crap, did you trade in/sell this truck in June of 2023? I think I just bought it from Scott Schaeffer in Birdsboro. EDIT: i I just saw the door sticker at 10:27 - same truck!! Its immaculate.
I love that truck, I have a 99 right now, but I love that model in the front, the grill is great, and I wish that mine was 4x4 , but I love the manual, I wish all cars had that option.
I have the identical truck as you do but mine is Dark gray on the bottom and Black on top. Good truck. I have had some minor issues but nothing I couldn't fix myself. The biggest one was the Transfer case. It piled up at about 185000 km.
Nice truck I just got a yellow version same year but automatic. One question my tank fills up at 16 gallons is that normal ? I thought the tank was 19 gallons ?
All three of mine are white 2.3 5 speed manual 2wd. If I didn’t have credit card debt I’d sell both of the older ones and buy an XLT Supercab 4 wheel drive Ranger.
I miss my 2005 FX4 Level II. I only had 2 chief complaints: 1. Piss poor gas mileage. 2. Piss poor highway manners. Other than that, it was an awesome little truck.
I honestly get pretty good mpg in it considering the big tires and 4:10 rear. I love the ride too no matter what speed, the leather seats are very firm and comfortable even after long trips
@stoney renegade Kits? How so? Usually, I take out the rear drive shaft and take the slip yoke apart, clean it with brake cleaner, and re-lube using the lube from Ford. Is it something that has a grease nipple? Though, really, it's not that I'm losing any grease. When I re-lube the slip, the clunk goes away for a few days, then it returns. So, even cleaned and with new grease the slip yoke still binds causing the transfer case and transmission to pitch upwards (due to the fact that the movement that is supposed to be accommodated by the slip yoke, slipping, has to go somewhere.) I may have to have a look at my transmission mounts to see it they're worn out. If they are worn out, and in need of replacement, maybe new mounts will prevent the transmission from moving and, thereby, putting more pressure on the slip yoke...causing it to slip...like it's supposed to. Your thoughts?
The reason why they gave a 16" spare is because it's going to probably be Is smaller than the 31 by tens you have on the Is the 15" rims that are on it so when you put your spare on it's at least 16" with a smaller type of spare tire but will match the level of your big 15 after market
I had a 2002 ranger and a registered sex offender bought it off me for 4500 dollars. He ended up getting arrested for spreading his cheeks at an entire first grade class that was on a field trip. Them kids just wanted to go watch shrek 2 but he ruined it for everyone.
@@bolensfanatic8770 You can purchase a new OEM arm rest through Amazon. It's just the cushioned portion. You need to, also, purchase the base plate that the cushion attaches to. That's available on Amazon, too. Buy the metal base plate, not plastic. The reason your armrest is missing is because the original ones had a plastic base plate, and people would, either, sit on them and break them, or just put too much pressure on them and break them. I purchased the cushion and metal base plate through Amazon and I'm soooo happy I did. I have one just like yours, but it's an automatic with the full length center console and it has the dark shadow gray Alcoa wheels. I love the fact that it has the black interior. The colors are Dark Shadow Gray (PNT code CX) and Black (PNT code UA) Almost 100% of those arm rest brackets broke. That was another poor design by Ford. They should have put some kind of support underneath it.
Have you replaced the slave cylinder, Water pump, Upper and lower thermostat housing, block heater plug yet. I have this exact truck but she's turned out to be lemon sadly.
@@Scuba1Steve sorry...I didn't see this comment until now... I didn't replace the slave cylinder, but it needs to be replaced...I had issues for a while now, changed the master (which ended up being basically fine), and now I just have to keep the clutch in at stop lights out of fear that I won't be able to get her back into gear again (I pump the clutch multiple times, try reverse to first, and as last case scenario, turn the truck off, then place into first gear)...I know I'll need to do it, but just avoiding the headache until I have to drop the transmission... no issue with water pump or anything...I had various other issues, but I also bought it at 104k miles and I'm at 135 now I think... running pretty well at the moment... are you on any ranger forums? we can chat more if you'd like...
I love rangers, always did. My first truck was a ranger and I only ever got rid of it because it couldn't tow what I needed it too at the time. Now that Im older, I own 2 rangers and an F150. As far as gas mileage goes, my 07 gets 18-22 depending on how I drive it and where I drive it. My 83 diesel ranger gets upwards of 35-40 mpg all the time. Both are stick shifts. Automatics really hurt mpg in these trucks
I love rangers too. I have the exact same truck and this thing is a 🐖 on gas. Get about 400km a tank in the city in the winter and 450-500 in the summer if I'm lucky. They say it is supposed to do 18mpg but in reality it does 9-10 mpg in the city and that's driving it like a grandpa following the factory's rpm shift guide for max fuel economy.
I still don't understand why people block their license plate when you drive around everyday with your license plate out in the open, but yet for a video you block it makes zero sense.
People are crazy, all it takes is 1 person that lets say, doesn't like my video or take something the wrong way about what I said or something and they want to start trouble or make something up that I did becuase they have nothing else better to do and they can report it to the state I live in. I just take the necessary precaution, and honestly its really no ones business what my plate # is as it has nothing to do with the video
Why do you care its not your truck? And its because any dumbass could look up the PD in his county and call his license plate into the police. Pretty obvious

I have the 2007 , I love it , I’ve done a 3 inch lift got fox shocks on it and put a flowmaster muffler system and a k&n air filter in the box
I'm looking right now at getting a 2011 ranger sport with the 4.0 5 speed 4x4 and I'm jealous of the fx4 shifter lol

How do you know if I got trak loc or torsion limited slip. Nice truck
J. James the torsion only comes in level 2 package, the trak loc limited slip is standard on fx4 and special order xlt
There will be a L in the serial number on the metal tag rear axel
Nice!
How much do one of those go for ?
they seem to be going up in price, I seen one locally for 15,000 but it was a year or two newer

The four bangers aren't horrible on gas (they average about 18-25mpg), but you shouldn't buy a truck based on fuel mileage
