    • @polljones8921
      @polljones8921 Год назад +12

      You weren't paying attention. That never happened. It was simply something they discussed. No agreement was reached or signed. As JJ very clearly says, "Well that didn't happen." So there was no rent-to-own. It was simply a standard lease agreement. Yes, you're right she should still have been paying rent, but the repairs in this instance are the responsibility of the landlord, the owner.

      Because she illegally used a residential area as a commercial for-profit business, likely under the guise of being a charity. Further, she leased the home from the Plaintiff, and I can almost guarantee that he had no idea she was sub-leasing it. A normal family causes some wear and tear to a home, requiring semi-regular maintenance, but imagine the damages done by 12 women all crammed in there, some of which likely have drug or mental health issues. Later the Defendant even tries to explain she didn't pay rent because the home became so damaged. Like, of course it had damages, you crammed a dozen women in there girl!

    Don’t know where landlord/plaintiff says a lie because he hasn’t said but two words yet. Defendant seems to be digging herself a hole. It seems both plaintiff and defendant were in on a scam to defraud the government. Just my take, we will see how the rest goes.

      Rent to own is not government, that is an agreement between the property owner and the tenant on agreeing the tenant will rent to own and will be responsible for the repairs inside the dwelling. Not the landlord.

      @polljones8921 Год назад +1

      @@trekgirl65 Again, I picked you up on this previously - you didn't listen and weren't paying attention. That never happened, it was simply something they discussed, but the document was never signed. "If she agreed to rent for 7 years, etc." She did not end up agreeing to rent for 7 years. In fact, she'd never seen the document he produced (very difficult to enforce a 1 sided "contract"). As JJ herself clearly says at 4:05 "Well, that didn't happen."
