Thunder head vs Lightning Rod. The 2nd choice wins. But this one is close too the Drop Line and the kids train ride. This ride overall is very good for belly drop, lol. "That was fast!"

I haven’t been to this beautiful park in forever. I forgot how large ThunderHead was. Last I was there was when they did the opening day for Wild Eagle back in 2012 so it’s been a while since I visited.

I love how excited she is and the "YEAH!" when the ride was over! Her pure joy and excitement makes me so excited about going this summer!!!!!

This is one of the absolute BEST wooden coasters I've ever rode. And I've rode several. Probably my second favorite behind The Beast at King's Island.
Love the airtime on this ride
I have ridden this coaster many, many times. I was told it is a gravity fed coaster. The first drop is 55 mph. The operator told me that since it's gravity fed, they don't know exactly how fast it goes. I can tell you this though, I have rode it in both the summer and in the winter & it is hella fast when it's cooler out.
Yeah, but they said this one is the fastest, but it’s not. Lightning Rod is the fastest wooden coaster at 73mph. I wouldn’t ride it, but my sons did! 🙂
That turned drop at the beginning is amazing! It's like Mantra at SeaWorld and that's my favorite ride there and this one at Dollywood because of the Gs it makes you feel

"Quite" the roller coaster
Lighting rod is faster I think. Fastest wooden one I. The world at least 72mph. This one looked fun as well didn't get a chance to go but went on mystery mine wild eagle lightning rod and some other one. Very fun place to be at.
The 1st time I went on this ride at Dollywood I was Terrified then at the end I liked it! Lol!!!

In my opinion, I think it is good as it is. I think Wildcat at Lake Compounce should get the treatment. I mean, Dollywood already has an RMC.
