- Here is the uncut version of the UCI Gravel World Series: 3 Rides Aachen 2024 with data overlays. Started around position 200 out of the 500 in the age cat 19-35. I will upload the full story of this race later on this channel, as that is taking some time to edit. Stay tuned ;)

haha, in normal circumstances that is my heart rate when I do around 250 watts but these races hit different

Ik heb zeker genoten. Vanaf de 2e ronde ging ik echt lekker omdat ik toen veel rijders begon in te halen. Helaas op kilometer 69 ben ik uitgegleden in een bocht en daarna niet meer lekker in de wedstrijd gekomen door wat problemen met de fiets. Hoe ging die bij jou? En ik vond het ook gezellig, bedankt nog voor je tips🙏
@@FlyingGravelMan owhh vervelend veel schade aan overgehouden? Spoedig herstel in ieder geval… zelf had ik rond 35km pech met de fiets waardoor ik helemaal door de groep ben
gezakt. Bij start/finish heb ik het kunnen repareren, maar zat ik tussen de 40/45 jarige. Dus toen heb ik de strijd maar gestaakt. Op naar de volgende zeggen we dan maar!
@@sieberensen need geen schade en ik heb hem nog uit kunnen rijden gelukkig! Geen hele goede positie helaas, maar wel weer een mooie ervaring om mee te nemen naar de volgende wedstrijden (;

Thank you and that was a long indoor session then haha. I hadn’t thought of it that people watch this during indoor sessions but that is really good to know. I might upload the full version in the future but I also want to be one of the first to upload the race footage to get some extra clicks and watch hours. For now I first want to focus on the race recap video that is coming out soon!
@@FlyingGravelMan Yeah, doing endurance training indoors was pretty boring. I prefer this kind of video over watching the virtual world. Anyway, I'm looking forward to your recap video

True! I believe they use “gun time” for everyone, so practically yes…

Hey! Im the guy who told you to clean the lense of the gopro at the back! It was really hard last sunday.. do you have the footage of the rear gopro at km 66? If yes I think we would see me going over the bar in the big puddle
Hey I remember haha. Thank you for that! I completely forgot that my rear cam was completely in de mud. I only have the first hour of the rear cam, so I must have missed that part with the rear cam, but my buddy was filming there with a drone and het captured a lot of people riding in there😂. When you got in there, did someone else join you or were you the second person going in de puddle?

Viel op zich mee. Ik heb 1 keer een auto op het parcours gezien. Maar over de organisatie ben ik ook niet heel erg te spreken haha
1:49 are these socks UCI legal?
Officially no, but in these races, on the amateur level, the UCI rules are not really enforced. Another example are camel bags larger than 0.5L. These are officially prohibited because they could give an aerodynamic advantage, but lots of people are still wearing those…

@@paulberghege haha, I can imagine that most people don’t watch the full video as that takes quite some time. Gravel onefifty was sold out before I was able to get a ticket, so unfortunately no. But I will go to Denmark, Singen and gravel Suisse (:
The first 25% qualifies. How do they deal with people that are already qualified via a prior race and would finish in this race within the top 25%? Do they check this, and then adjust this to the 25% unqualified finishers for this specific race? Btw curious to see if you qualified? Participated as well, and was 5 minutes to slow.. Next try at gravel 150
They do not unfortunately. So people can qualify 5 times for the same WC.
I was 8 minutes too slow in Aachen, but I will share my excuses in the upcoming race recon video😉
