One tip I would give you: map a radio button so you can call people a wanker if they race you dirty. Capturing rage in real time is an essential component of enjoying iRacing.
You could be banned from voice chat and text for calling someone out. I had a 3 month ban for that myself recently 😅

Just a quick note. Your Safety Rating is affected during the session official practice and Q session as well, not just during the race. So any spins, offtracks, etc during the practice and Q will count towards the SR of the official session (P, Q, R)

To add on that, the safety rating will also be affected after crossing the finish line UNTIL everyone finished the race.

You really need to check out Virtual Racing School where you can compare your telemetry to professionnal esports drivers in a very intuitive way and they also provide great setups. It's the best way to improve on iRacing!
Martin Jagge from behind you here. Was great to drive with you! Awesome pace. Could only match with slipstream! Though the uphill corner T4 you take to slow. You are at around 100 km/h. It also goes very well with 110. You might want to get closer to the wall at the apex :)

Please keep the iRacing content coming. This is the type of racing you deserve to compete in. The racing is just soooooo much better. F1 games make for great racing too, but the level of racing in iRacing makes it so much more fun. Plus, the physics are a lot more real LOL.

I love watching your videos, the racing is always good and I've gotten so much better at F1 watching you so thank you. About 10 years ago I raced through the downhill chicanes of Bathhurst into the left hand sweeper IRL on a downhill skateboard during a sanctioned race. It was terrifying and exciting at the same time. I also have competed in a downhill slalom event at COTA here in Texas where we went down the big hill slaloming cones on the start finish straight. Also a 24hr skateboarding endurance race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Would have been nice to have done things in cars but a privilege to go out on tracks I've been playing on video games over the last 30 years of my life.

As a 2 year iracer these things have really helped:
CrewChief App - better spotting, extra settings etc, get rid of that Iracing spotter
iFlag for simracing - A 8x8 LED panel from ebay with instructions how to set it up for Pitspeedlimiter and flag signal in your rig, run with ...
SimHub App - has a lot of options to display stuff (for example custom Huds on your phone) and also the iFlags and of course ....
A Bassshaker for your rig, to get some extra bumps and transmission emmersion. Many options. Easiest to get is probably the ButtKicker. Dont use their app tho. Connect it to SimHub and configure it there. Works much better.
What made a lot of sense for me also was a button box with a few press, a few turn and an ignition and start button. Good for replay hotkeys and also nice to manualy start the car.
Also a racing seatbelt made it feel a lot more realistic for me aswell.
Of course RaceLabs App which i guess you are already using.
Else ... Just get a sturdy rig, like a Simlab P1X which really can take a hit and make it your own.
Oh and 32" 1440p triples are a huge gamechanger aswell.
Together with a P1X you can make some go all the way around you nearly up to your shoulders. Makes it feel another Level.
If you go triple get the Asus Bezel Free Kit aswell. Also gamechanger.
Ohhhh. And try to put your screens as close to the wheelbase as possible. Best is just above the Wheelbase so screen and top of the wheelbase are not touching and your hands on the shifter cant reach the screen.

you should move your monitor to just infront of the wheel base then the field of view looks even better, so the steering colomn looks like its leading to your wheel

You might enjoy the V8 Supercars racing that happens on this track near Christmas time each year. It's an Australian touring car series and an enduro race.

A great tip for massive oversteer moments in this game if you’re sliding out you can floor the gas and brake and it’ll give you enough grip on the front to slow down and probably save it. This tip has saved me too many times to count
I love your videos. I started iracing myself and I am also short before c-rating. I used to do league racing on F1 22 as well (but not on your level of course), but now after starting iracing F1 feels so different and makes absolutely no fun any more...

The tracks, which are not real in iRacing (anymore) are the "iRacing Superspeedway", "Oran Park" (it used to exist, but it isn't anymore, so I count it as well) and nothing known about it is the "Centripetal Circuit" (it may exist, but could also be not real)
I empathize.
I'm racing a split down from you in the same series and the carnage is just absurd. Qualifying lower than P2/P3 basically mandates starting from the pits or you are guaranteed to spend 2.5 minutes waiting for a tow after some bonehead ruins your race within the first 4 turns EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. because they are convinced they can win the race in the first corner. But the upside of being in the lower split is that there are so many crashes per lap that you have to be pretty bad to actually end up dead last. Half the field will end up in the pits while you wait for your tow. The race leader and maybe p2 and p3 end up a lap ahead of everyone else and the entire rest of the field ends up a lap down because of stupid driving from rookies who just don't seem to understand or care about safety rating or irating, who not only crash every other lap but also totally fail to have situational awareness as they attempt to rejoin the race without pitting and proceed to reverse into passing traffic or cut across the racing line without looking in order to get back on track.
I can't count the number of times I've been taken out while running clean laps at p4 or p5, costing me more than enough irating to be a split or two up. Even starting at the back is no real guarantee because of the quick repair thing in that series - the worst drivers crash out in lap one and then come out of the pits right into the midfield and proceed to take everyone else out over the ensuing laps. It makes it incredibly difficult to build safety rating OR irating. In the bottom split, where I only end up when racing at odd hours with a wide spread, it is not unusual to see more than half the field fail to finish with 3 or even 4 drivers disqualified due to incidents.
I forget if you're using Crewchief or not for spotter as well as I HIGHLY recommend upgrading to 3 monitor or VR

Hey dude, great stuff...since you asked for feedback...If you're going to stick with single monitor the biggest immersion plus I found was adding an Track IR (especially since you've fixed your FOV) that connects to your headphones. There are cheaper homemade options, but the Track IR is perfect...I can't drive without it.

You should try the VRS racing school, it makes you feel like you are on a racing team. You get your data recorded and can compare your inputs with the esport drivers
You should try VR in iracing for the full immersion.

Hi mate, recently just switched to iracing myself due to f122 failing at every single avenue! Disappointing to say the least I'm about done with this game until 2023.. In saying that iracing is absolutely insane, my only regret is not leaving the f1 game earlier. Anyways I was wondering if you could provide a video tutorial on how to set up your fov? Bathurst a monster of a track that down hill twisty section is so much fun and scary like you said i chipped tooth once as i grind my teeth hard going through there with fear

The understeer under braking in these cars is just crazy and i tend to avoid this series because of it. I assume the racing is quite good though

JD when you are over 3.0 safety rating you can race on the upper class! So in your case Class B.
You may have noticed that the closer you are to the wheel with the FOV the slower everything seems. I go in so far as i cant see the in game wheel, and run the dash on a separate tablet

Open wheel cars at Bathhurst is nuts!
If you want the perfect screen for both f1 22 and iracing get a 49" curved wide screen. Or triples but f1 doesn't support them yet I don't think. Also try trading paints. Lets you see other custom liveries and have your own assigned to your own cars. Adds a lot more to the immersion. I'm here for more iracing content sir. Good stuff, brutal finish but that's f4 at bathurst lol.

Yees, this is the FOV. And I see you also set the seat to the back a little. I did the same. In some cars, there is a problem that you cannot look fully left and right because of the seat sides, buts thats ok for me :)

Very much agree that F1 games should incentivize safety with some sort of rating system, online lobbies are and have been a mess for a long time.
Higher Safety Rating = "cleaner" and more unlocked.
Higher iRating = better, cleaner races (for the most part)

I would love to se co-op but with like some track guides and setups. I feel like game has changed a bit since your hotlap series. Also would be nice to see some training advices (for example, i just got new wheel, decided to turn off all assist and learn. damn its so much harder. i spend like 2-3 days on one track and i still suck ;)

SR get´s counted by corners. The more corners you do, the more SR you gain. You can loose and gain sr during FP, Q and in the race UNTIL the last car has seen the flag.
You should get "crew chief" - which is a spotter app, just better in evryway and way more immersive.
Love to see a gt3 video, try the Porsche cup as it’s notorious for being to most challenging car to drive!

I just started iRacing and getting out of class D seems impossible. People just turn into you, spin on first lap overdriving the car. My favourite today was mazda cutting acros half of circuit and hitting me driving wrong way. Uff i vented, ok now.
Just have clean races and start at the back without any incidents or offtracks. It's all about the safety rating! Also don't do Mazdas 😂

I really the time that I subbed iRacing, the problem for me is that it was too expensive, the sub is okay, but having to buy almost every single car and track is too hard for me (that don't use USD as main currency).

Many drivers have custom skins on there cars. For youre next video maybe you can look up the software for it. (Trading Pants) have a good one.
iRacing Safety Rating is probably one of the more annoying things, tbh. The "no fault" system is ridiculous...I can just get absolutely taken out and I get a safety rating penalty, which actually just happened in a race. Some idiot on the last lap of the race decides to send it two corners in a row, resulting in a 4x, then another 4x on the next corner and he actually completely takes me out on the second one. I gave him space on both occasions, but nope, apparently according to iRacing I should have pulled over to the side of the road and let him pass to avoid any possibility of contact whatsoever. So we're not actually racing.
it looks that you are having a lot of fun but how much are you paying for iracing ? Just the basic subscription or you needed to pay for that car and track too ? And is that ffb so imersive even on belt driven wheel ?
You get quite a lot of content when you do the basic subscription. But you'll then need to buy more tracks once you go through the licences.
Haven't driven a belt wheel on here, but I've heard it's pretty good
