Throw 4 of those in a 60's Rambler. Talk about cracking skulls. Still cheaper than builds with way less power 20 or 30 years ago when even I was young. I envision Darth Sideous saying power, unlimited power...
i would add some silicon to reduce the chance of failure due to vibrations. its a cheap preventative measure that alot of amps lack but one that can be fixed easily and pretty cheap considering what we pay for the amps.
Damn back in the 80s this amp would have been a dream someone thought up ! The price is insane! Now if subs would quit being as big as manhole 🕳 covers !
I've got a question for you, if you'd be willing to answer. I've got an old Lexus, running a stock 8" open-air subwoofer with ~40W RMS. I want to, at some point, upgrade to a more powerful sub with an amp dedicated to that. I don't know what power, or even size, I want to go up to, but I figure 100w RMS would be sufficient. What would you recommend as the best budget amplifier for me?
Wouldn't your efficiency be off because of the voltage difference? If the amp was designed for 14.4 or 14.1v then giving more juice would change the efficiency %?
Sup D, I just wanted to point out that it's 3 amps probably more that share this same board... 1. Teampie 7500 2. Vital Power 700.1 3. Finally a class D with some BEEF in the design and weight! Please include amperage draw on tests, thank you.. I see the amperage draw THANK YOU! You'd need another altinator and maybe another battery in your car to run most of these high powered mega amp. draw amplifiers.. Not a super big fan of class D amps.. I use this amp on 4 half ohm subwoofers and the device is working normally. I hope you will do a half ohm load test for us so that we can see what is the capacity for the amp dyno
Half ohm on the Dyno is not something I’d try with this amp. Wiring speakers to half ohm would result in 0.8-1 ohm rise in most cases with most music. I was shown after my vid by a tech my amp doesn’t have the over protection diode and this is concerning
@@princeofbass304 this amp more then likely doesn't have a quality part in it in all honesty. If you have rise it'll handle half ohm. When I was wired at 1 ohm I only had 0.4 rise so I wouldn't risk it with an amp not made to be ran like that with counterfeit parts. It'll work for a little while, but will it be working in 5 years is what I think of
You don't need 4 AWG speaker wires with this kind of power. 9500 watts RMS at 1 ohm is equal to 97 amps RMS. Given that the run from amp to subs is generally only a few feet, that is within the current capacity of 8 AWG copper. And given that an amplifier will basically never clamp more power than it can do on the Dyno, that's plenty of headroom
"These windings on my amp are loose." Well you're in luck because we're going to fix it for the next guy! I mean, your amp is still messed up, but think of the next guy.. lol.
@@wal yeah I saw the tag in the video, just kind of sucks for you since you bought it with your own money and it's messed up. I've dealt with a few companies over the years that gave me the "thanks for letting us know, we'll make sure to correct this in the future line" and I'm like, awesome, but what about mine?!
@@Thezuule1 Sweet, But what about mine. Dude ohh wait that was a movie. I hate companies that do that without offering an exchange at least. Because if you fix it and it fails they may not warranty it even if it is ultimately the same solution they had.
Is this true RMS power? Or is it instantaneous peak power? Either way, your DC supply needs to be hundreds of amps. Not long before your car battery is flat, it's like running the starter motor non stop.
@@wal Incredible. About 25 years ago I fitted a 500W system. Loved it, I could feel my hair moving with the bass, and all mirrors blurred with bass beats. Went into a shop, left my daughter in the car and she hammered it. When I got back to the car, flat battery. Manual gearbox so I managed to push start it.
As much as I like Big power? I think I will stick with MTX. Why? The one time I gave them a call, they answered the phone, and even said " just send in your amp in, we can fix it". THAT WAS IT. I was a customer for life. And they just look great. I mean sold construction etc. But the fact that you have a question, and it gets answered? Hats of to them! I love chinese gear, and when your use amps as tools, like for SPL? Great value, and great power at a price you can afford to buy spares? Easy to repair? Its a no brainer. Looks and performance for me go hand in hand. And I like knowing that if something does go wrong with a custom install? I can call the company for a repair. That really matters to me. Custom installs are a mess if you install them just for the space, so having a solid company behind the amp really makes a difference for me. I like American made / Built hardware. Glad I'm in the point in my life where I can get made in USA gear when the need arises. Its pricey. But I tend not to let go of old hardware. As each has a story. I'm bit sentimental with things I buy.
@@wal Oh wow, thats exceptional. been wanting to retire my 1100.1s and these may be a decent cheap replacement, that or smart 5k's (realistically 5k per sub would be plenty)
Why wouldn't u leave the clip limit off for all the tests? I'm sure all the tests would've been different. That's why it didn't count up smooth on the first 2 tests.
@@ogairbender808 A lot of people just assume they are the same due to them using the same basic design copied from yet another amp. I believe I researched the two brands mentioned above and found they are not made by Teampie.
It is gain matching- think of the gain as a matching tool not a volume tool. If you are under the overlap less power over on overlap and you clip the amp. Clipping is when the audio wave gets clipped of making it square instead of being round and smooth. I.E. clipped square waves actually turn the voice coil in to a heater coil sticking it at the top or bottom of the stroke. If clipped long enough the coils glue will burn and then you have a slinky or in worst case a fire. It is more complicated than that. But as a simple example there you go.
On the clipping rating for 0.8 ohms your dyno said 1. Ohms. That might be why it was lower than expected. I'm gonna say it again blah, blah, blah I love these videos.
For those who watch all the way until the end, the 0.8 ohms uncertified test was mistakenly shown as 1 ohm. The 0.8 result was 9624W at 14.52VDC. Sorry about that!

Throw 4 of those in a 60's Rambler. Talk about cracking skulls. Still cheaper than builds with way less power 20 or 30 years ago when even I was young. I envision Darth Sideous saying power, unlimited power...
Can you test the JL Audio JD500/1 amp dyno?
its a little more power but its a 5 ohms until 1.5 ohm.....500wrms at 5 ohms is alot of power
Added to the bucket list 😁😁
👌😬👍
i would add some silicon to reduce the chance of failure due to vibrations. its a cheap preventative measure that alot of amps lack but one that can be fixed easily and pretty cheap considering what we pay for the amps.
👌😬👍
The factory is now doing exactly that.
Great video!! I know what amp I buying next!
Damn back in the 80s this amp would have been a dream someone thought up !
The price is insane!
Now if subs would quit being as big as manhole 🕳 covers !
Yeah this thing would’ve costed $25000 back then!
Is the voltage on your Bass knob accurate? mine isn't on my 5500 so i'm wondering if its just mine or not.
You need to set it . It has a knob on it
There should be a trim pot inside you can adjust to make it more accurate. - I guess not.
I didn’t pay that much attention to it honestly. The current models don’t have a trim pot, but TP said it’s coming 🤦♂️
Hey big D what would it take to wire a speaker impedance to get .8 or .5???
Depends on your setup, so nearly impossible to guess. So many factors including box, speakers, environment, frequency, etc.
Wouldn't your efficiency be off because of the voltage difference? If the amp was designed for 14.4 or 14.1v then giving more juice would change the efficiency %?
I was referring to measuring current in one input vs all 3 at once
They still use master/slave instead of primary/secondary?...
This has got to be the best amp I've ever seen
🧐
@@wal😂
Sup D, I just wanted to point out that it's 3 amps probably more that share this same board...
1. Teampie 7500
2. Vital Power 700.1
3. American Bass 750.1
Every John and Jane trying to make a quick buck now days off what gains popularity. American Bass got ripped off. Been around longer and more trusted plus reliable.
You accidentally did the .08 ohm test uncertified at 1ohm. Great dyno video on the teampie
I sho did! Updated pinned comment doe
@@wal I really enjoy your video's but not a fan of the flea market amplifiers but everything else including wheelie Williston is great
You can only get these by messaging teampie directly? I don't see online purchase options on their website and I haven't found any retailers for them.
Correct. You can buy direct from China for the best price or buy from a US retailer who has already imported a batch of them. These will cost more, but you'll get it quicker. So far, Jones Subwoofer has the best prices on them.
Yea I had to purchase through Alibaba and wasn’t a fan of the process.
Finally a class D with some BEEF in the design and weight! Please include amperage draw on tests,
thank you.. I see the amperage draw THANK YOU! You'd need another altinator and maybe another battery in your car to run most of these high powered mega amp. draw amplifiers.. Not a super big fan of class D amps.. If I had a high power set up in my car I'd have a dedicated LEFT and RIGHT channel with STEREO separation. Screw the MONO subwoofer setups.. SEPERATE the sides to get STEREO SOUND! I might not be as impressive for sub. shaking output but it'll sound a lot better if your listening to Rock & Roll!
Those loose winding really worry me in such a high vibration environment. Won’t take much to run through that lacquer.
Apparently new ones are wound better that’s what I’m told
@@wal I sure hope so
Would hot glue help in that situation? To basically encase them in?
@@poopool_Q if I had one of these (or any amp) and the windings were loose i'd hot glue em... Or put epoxy on there.
Even without bass, vehicles vibrate...
@@poopool_Q use a neutral cure silicon in the middle hole and around the top. you can run a bead around the base as well. doesnt take long to do. let it cure about a day or 2 and your good to go
The big boys are back in town!

Nice video bro keep up the goods ✌️🔊

I use this amp on 4 half ohm subwoofers and the device is working normally. I hope you will do a half ohm load test for us so that we can see what is the capacity for the amp dyno
Half ohm on the Dyno is not something I’d try with this amp. Wiring speakers to half ohm would result in 0.8-1 ohm rise in most cases with most music. I was shown after my vid by a tech my amp doesn’t have the over protection diode and this is concerning
@@wal This amp has four ways protect over voltage, over current, over temperature, and output short circuit.
It'll work for a little while, but will it be working in 5 years is what I think of
@@michaelmosher7902 Your words are respected, but now I have said it for a month and there has been no problem so far
Also, you did 1ohm on the uncertified test at the end. Instead of .8
9624 was 0.8 uncertified number. I inserted the wrong clip. Very happy to see so many people watching all the way until the end! Y’all rock 🤘
@@wal thanks again. That's huge power.
Yes, just spotted that…..9624 whoooo hooooo
Anyone know what max voltage on these is? Will this amp tolerate 16.2V?
15.2
You don't need 4 AWG speaker wires with this kind of power. 9500 watts RMS at 1 ohm is equal to 97 amps RMS. Given that the run from amp to subs is generally only a few feet, that is within the current capacity of 8 AWG copper. And given that an amplifier will basically never clamp more power than it can do on the Dyno, that's plenty of headroom
😬👍
I went to the site and couldn't find any links to see how much they even sell their amps for. How would someone even buy one of their amps?
I used Alibaba, but they have contact info to buy the amps. It’s a bit of a pain honestly
These are great amps. Just take it chances with the warranty, and if u r not running proper electric, you WILL get to see the magic pixie smoke!!
This!
I want one. think my 15 inch L7's could handle them at 1 ohm?
Oh Lawd 🤦♂️
ummmmm...no....
that amp is BEAST MODE
😜👍
This amp is remarkably similar to the EMF audio 7500 Watt amp. Virtually identical. And the EMF amp is priced at about $1,400. 🤔🤔🤔🤔
"These windings on my amp are loose."
Well you're in luck because we're going to fix it for the next guy! I mean, your amp is still messed up, but think of the next guy.. lol.
I was told by the mfg after I pointed it out. I bought this amp, wasn't paid for the video, so I was just passing along information
@@D3M3NT3Dstrang3r DUDE, what does mine say?!
@@Thezuule1 yeah I agree. In this case I don't use amps like this so I'll most likely sell locally, so someone else will have fun with it...
The shape of the heat sink reminds me of lanzar opti amps. 😉👍
Yeah kinda 🤔
Is this true RMS power? Or is it instantaneous peak power? Either way, your DC supply needs to be hundreds of amps. Not long before your car battery is flat, it's like running the starter motor non stop.
Yes all tests RMS power. I have a large lithium battery bank capable of 1500A or more pulls at 15VDC
I approve of this message 👌
Ok. So stack as many of those kicker box's as you can in your trunk, with proper load of course and use that amp!

why does your efficiency calculation look goofy all the time, idk how you got 87pct or where the 153.9 came in for 4 ohms?
Love my Creampie CIP-7900❤❤❤
Would you be willing to comment on how long it took to get the amp?
About 2 weeks. I ordered the 7500, 4000 and a 125x4
Clip limit was disabled for all tests except the ones I show it enabled (1 ohm)
12:41 you said .8 but you ran it at 1 ohm, that’s why it got less than the .8 before it
Even the 5k model bumps.its around $550 shipped .it will punish 4 good subs.good video bud

Can we see a video of the vital power and this one linked together?
The Vital Power has been returned to its owner

Just to be clear, those 2 brands are not made by Team Pie.
@@JasonWW2000 you sure? I believe they are,I own a few and have talked with the liaison from China about this
@@ogairbender808 A lot of people just assume they are the same due to them using the same basic design copied from yet another amp. I believe I researched the two brands mentioned above and found they are not made by Teampie.
Why do you use the overlap for the gain?
It's how you setup an amp to be tested with the Amp Dyno using the DD-1 plus
@@wal I see. Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. Keep up the awesome vids
That’s not bad at all. I’ll wait to find one second hand hopefully to try out.
I’ll sell dis one or trade for cool old skool 😝
