    Thank you! I’ve been struggling with Milo’s breakouts and I am now certain it’s because I don’t use sunscreen.

    Great information.. thank you. Our dermatologist was not keen on removal of the milia. He said.. they'll come back!!

      They can…but sometimes they don’t, with proper skincare and careful exfoliation and avoidance of occlusive products!

      @@TeawithMD I thought RoC eyecream all had Retinol in it. Is it not true?

    Is using cerave moisturizing cream on the face going to have a similar effect as slugging? It contains petrolatum. A lot of moisturizers do, in fact. Please explain which moisturizers are not okay for milia-prone skin. Thanks!

    • @TeawithMD
      @TeawithMD  Год назад

      Hello! Cerave is not the same as Vaseline in terms of the consistency; Vaseline is purely an occlusive and very thick

    I remove some with apple cider vinegar, like you can do with warts. I left a cotton swab soaked in it on there for several hours, after I removed and a day went by, it scabbed up and fell off. Is this safe? Can I continue to do this? Just seems like one of the most convenient home remedies

    Tretinoin and adapalene would be great treatments for milia. At least that' s my take on it.

      Yes they are! Retinoids are one of the treatments you can do at home for milia

    I started to get milia in my 60's. I had a large one between my eyebrows removed. I had 4 smaller ones on edge of my nose that I got rid of with retinol. But using retinol I need to protect my eyes with Vaseline. Before I started the Vaseline I had the retinol migrate to an eyelid and burn that skin...painful! So how to use retinol on my face and not have that happen. Maybe try the eye cream you mention??

    • @TeawithMD
      @TeawithMD  Год назад +1

      Yes, there is a risk of retinol irritation especially around the sensitive skin near the eyes. Try a gentle retinoid like the skinbetter eye max!

    I keep getting milia and I’m now in my early 30s. Will exfoliating and the retinol creams helps get rid of it? Or is that only for prevention and I need to go see someone to get it removed? Now that I’ve been exfoliating, I’m getting dry patches under my eyes with like flaky skin

    • @TeawithMD
      @TeawithMD  Год назад

      The topicals can help with small milia but if it’s not getting rid of them after a few months I’d go see someone to have them extracted!

    Could I use an ice cube to numb the area, then use a sharp blade to slice it off!?

      I would not recommend doing that at home, risking infection and scarring

    • @TeawithMD
      @TeawithMD  2 года назад +3

      Hello, you can do the steps I listed for prevention such as use regular exfoliants in the form of AHA/BHA or retinol/retinoid, and also consistent sun protection
