Magnus is Alec's first everything, First kiss, boyfriend, etc, so far he's only Magnus' first shadowhunter. Therefore, i think its only fair if Alec is the first person to marry Magnus😊
I have watched so many Malec scenes since the show's cancellation, That I forget there are other characters. These two were really the only reason why I watched this show.
I get the feel that Magnus is disappointed that Alec trying to keep the relationship out of this. Asking him to come as warlock representative, not as his boyfriend. Meaning he is not ashamed of Magnus but he is trying to prove he is there to help the downworld. And he knows someone or everyone will accuse him of warlock favoritism. I understand what Alec is trying to do here.
Yea. Magnus has his number in 5 digits while alec's count is 1 and that includes Magnus only. Another strange thing is that his parabatai jace is also same way as Magnus. Both have gotten around quite a lot and both have a unique and a very strong bond with alec. I think it's not because alec didn't get chances but it is just part of his serious, reserved and little bit intense personality. He doesn't do anything casual or half-way. He is in it completely or not at all. Moreover, the way he, I don't think he would be comfortable to be a little bit vulnerable or open if he doesn't love and/or trust that person
Alec is Magnus's his first husband and with Alec first kiss, love and husband , etc. But Clary and him also have a very strong family Bond, like godfather and goddaughter or father and daughter ( more 2nd option in my opinion)
I dont care what they say here Alec and Magnus cant possibly keep their professional and personal lives totally separate these two are so entwined and in love no one is going buy it. Raphael sure didnt at the meeting 😂 Malec were probably playing footsie with each other under the table 😂
I Think you are 100% Right. You do NOT end a Call With a Thank you, and if alec really wants Magnus to be there then he should be honest about who he is.
In hindsight they changed quite a lot of things ngl. In the books Jace (and Clary) take over the new york institute when they are a bit older, due to Jace's knack for strategic thinking and skills as a leader (which ngl, kinda got dropped in the show. In fact show Jace is quite different from book Jace in a lot of aspects of his personality. Ironically Dom himself is more like Jace than the Jace he's playing.). And when Jace and Clary are on a mission to Faerie, Isabelle and Simon take over temporarily. What Alec does is heading up the Downworlder-Shadowhunter Alliance, essentially leading the faction of the Clave that actually brings in progress, something that suits him, and lets him bring in more change than as a simple head of the institute. He does become the head of the London institute but only temporarily, much like Isabelle and Simon being the heads for New York only while Jace and Clary are away. THEN he goes on to become the Consul. Also in the books, Isabelle knew of her father cheating since she was a kid. The Lightwood parents are a bit... harsher in the books at the start and take longer to learn better. Maryse threw her baggage on her daughter at a young age. Alec and Jace didn't know until after Max died (Sebastian does kill him in the books, which they removed in the show). Isabelle even freaks out on Jocelyn demanding to know the name of the woman that Robert slept with, but it's not a person she ever heard of, plus the woman died already. So it's weird that they changed it for the show and made it so Alec knew before Izzy, even going as far as to have Alec tell Maryse that she should tell her. In the books Robert was going to leave but Max was born so he stayed.
Yes he did and omg just watch the episode it's either on Netflix or to rent on RUclips don't watch it illegally as then the production company doesn't get the rewards.
I haven't seen the series yet but it's clear from these clips that alec's personality and attitude to the internalised homophobia is the opposite than it was in the books. in the books Alec is painfully aware that out there is a not homophobic society where downworlders are respected while he lives in a community that's homophobic and "racist" to downworlders, he wouldn't dream to act homophobic or racist to downworlders himself to magnus, if anything he is afraid that magnus would assume he is those things because of where he comes from and beats himself up thinking he's not worthy of magnus for having internalised homophobia and coming from such a community. he also would never snap at magnus, he's extremely kind and thoughtful all the time. magnus still has to be patient and wait for alec to overcome the internalised homophobia and overall insecurity that takes the form of jelousy, doubting him, even being tempted to hurt him to "bring him down to his level". In the tv series however it seems the problem with them is alec will actually act homophobic and in this case even racist to downworlders. magnus in the book would never have accepted that - especially the racist to downworlders part - but this magnus seems willing to educate alec from the basics. and of course alec acts angry in the series instead of just being insecure and shutting down like in the books
I thought Shadow hunters can only love once and marriage is a forever bond? So not sure how Alec’s dad ended up cheating & his parents were able to separate? 🤔
"have i done something wrong?" MY HEART IS GOING TO COMBUST
Srsly yrrr like instead of being offended or anything his first thought was to be understanding and omgggg how cute is this
The lesson I got from this video: Alec calling Magnus his boyfriend
malecforever2222 same!! 😂😂
i love when they calling each other "boyfriend"
Analey 1809 sameee
same.
Yeah, but everyone here would prefer "husband"
HA!
Same, I replayed that bit when Alec said ‘boyfriend’ at least 10 times 😂
Magnus is Alec's first everything, First kiss, boyfriend, etc, so far he's only Magnus' first shadowhunter. Therefore, i think its only fair if Alec is the first person to marry Magnus😊
In the books they are actually engaged and have two sons apparently :o
hi, I trying to find the book so I can see how it ended, but there r so many, which ones are the right book.
can i ask you guys a question? so far in the book, does Alec somehow become immortal like Magnus or he still getting old?
+Sally Phan he still ages. not immortal . he will die someday . :(
quyên đỗ so is the books still happening or has it already ended is she still writing??
The way Alec says "and as my boyfriend" just melts my heart
He said "not as my boyfriend"
@@abcabc-oh9gc I got you man. I also heard it... But everyone is so happy with the scene so I thought I have heard wrong. Thank you
Boyfriend just isn’t the right word for them
I’m thinking more along the lines of life partners, soul mates
Husbands
hell yes, husband the right words.
I cracked up with your little sneaky "husband"
and agree
Omg yessss
Madison Lewe omg I fucking hope sooo!!😭😭😭💔💔
ITS HAPPENING!!!!
I have watched so many Malec scenes since the show's cancellation, That I forget there are other characters. These two were really the only reason why I watched this show.
She looked so happy I feel like she was eavesdropping and maybe heard what they said?

Isn’t it weird that Magnus has been with so many people and Alec had never had a real partner and yet, Alec has had an extra wedding.

This is a beautiful masterpiece

Sir you do not end a call with your boyfriend with "Thank you" you END IT with "I love you"
