And DB pretending to do an applause at the end like as if somehow it was a performance . That's all DB has done is perform and at times acted like he thought he was the smartest man in the room. How he spoke to the judge trying to win her over and when she wouldn't obey he'd abuse her. He pretending in his closing statements that he was upset but he's only feeling sorry for himself. Everything he says is a Contradiction of the previous statement. Sadly he will probably do just fine in prison with his own kind! His mother and grandmother are deluded and kept forgiving him. He needed to be taught from a young age to respect people. Even the way he spoke about the 3 mothers of his children . Its all to hope they ll have pity on him and send him money clothes and items into the prison. He spoke about being a dad and his own kids. Never once did he put himself in the shoes of the people that lost the chance to parent their child and their child to have a mom or dad or grandparents in their lives. This man is an example of all that's wrong in society!!! No remorse only for himself. Jmo

Reminder that Brooks was out on $1000 bail when he committed this crime. That bail was for running over the mother of his child with the same SUV he would use to run over dozens more in the parade.
Minutes before driving through the parade he battered that same woman, angry that she wasn’t the one to post his bail.
Or give him any money. His mother and grandmother has blood on their hands too. She should have left him in jail. They have made excuses for his behavior all of his life and she still is ( his grandmother too)! They are accomplices to this tragedy as far as I am concerned. If they thought that he had mental problems, why didn't they try to seek him help? I am sure that there were plenty of places that they could have found to get him some sort of help. They both chose NOT to, so they shouldn't blame anyone else but themselves.

His statement was very well constructed and said. He hit every point and conveyed his loss and how they should throw their handfuls of dirt over this murdering pos and find peace and some kind of happiness.
Mr. Owen's fortitude here is amazing. I can't imagine holding it together while writing a statement like that, much less delivering it. And his point on Darrell Brooks is 100% correct. If a normal man's accelerator got stuck and he drove through a parade by accident, he would be consumed by remorse "Why did I go so long without taking my car to the mechanic? why didn't I swerve into a parked car? Why didn't I hit the brakes sooner and harder?". Darrell Brooks attempted to escape justice by insinuating that it was all just an accident (or "incident" as he calls it). But failed to understand that a normal person would feel terrible if they caused such an accident. They wouldn't respond by playing lawyer, or rolling their eyes at the victims, or trying to get free on dumb technicalities.
I can't imagine how hard it was for the victims to see Brooks essentially mocking them with his courtroom antics/glibness/idiocy. But the silver lining is that if anyone had any doubts as to what he is, then those doubts were assuaged by Brooks's himself
Yes he did a fantastic job.l don't have that kind of emotional self control .l know I could never be in the same room with this man ,I would lose it and attack him no matter what .Unfortunately nothing this poor man said will register with brooks .l feel so terribly bad for all these victims and thier family's
Hi Decon,, He even tried to, in a roundabout way, somehow blame his mother, In his first interview with the police, he said to one of the officers "what if it wasn't me who was driving,, my mother owns the vehicle, what if it was someone else"?? 🤔 Then he decided to plead guilty by way of mental health illness, but after four separate physciotrists found him completely sane, he pulled that of the table too, because they would have been asked to testify on their findings,,, THEN, he fired his attorneys, decided to represent himself, as a sovereign citizen 🤔😳😡,, and thought, Oh the judge will keep me straight on the matter of law 🤔, REALLY, Oh okay then,,, fecken idiot. He knew he would have all the witness statements ect handed to him,,, and get to read them at his leasure in his jail cell!!!! All he did was abuse the judge, the court, the law and be able to cross examine the witnesses of the prosecution, and of course Miss Erika Patterson, trying to keep her in her place from the defence bench,,,, and ridicule and verbally abuse her under the guise of the law,,,, We all know now what his verdict is, guilty on all 76 counts, jailed for some 700 and some odd years... He was in another court the very next day, for bail jumping, assault and even after that case he has one other,, in another state!!!! 😡My God, you think the Most High one has your back today Darrell? 🤔 Or is He having a few days off,, away from your monotonous voice tones, droning on and on and on,,,,,,, Bye bye Mr Brooks,,,, sovereign citizen of your parish,,,,,

Brooks is not mentally ill. He has gotten away or spent very little time for his actions. His mom always bailing him out did t help. He clearly deserves to be in prison his entire life!
If he lasts for the rest of his life in prison. Other inmates don't like Child and Elderly Killers which he is both. All he has to do is mouth off to the wrong inmate and he will see Jail Justice. He'll get what he definitely deserves even though Wisconsin doesn't have the Death Penalty. Maybe that will change after all of the citizens see how this Clown acted during the Trial Proceedings and after he deliberately caused this tragedy. Remember folks, he said that "His Conscious Is Clear". What if one of your loved ones got mowed down that day. Would you all feel the same then?

His mother is at least half of the reason why he got this far in life. I say she shouldn’t go down too.
I watched this powerful impact statement three times and it gets better every time. The passion and anger and this man can be felt throughout the whole universe I've never been in his situation but he is made a very clear what it feels like and I cried for him and his whole family and all of the families who were involved in this tragic attack. If any of the victims of this attack sees this rest assured that the entire nation and maybe even the world our morning for you and with you none of you are alone and we see you it won't bring back your loved ones but this attack has made your community strong and has created a bond with the entire nation. I pray that each of you can find comfort and some sort of Peace if that is even possible. just know that we are here for you in your time of need. May this piece of crap rot in a dark hole for the rest of his miserable life may it be long and full of suffering and loneliness.
I’ve watched it 3 or 4 times and makes me cry every time. That man’s pain is tangible, it breaks my heart.

Please don’t think for a moment that you’re mom doesn’t think or know that she has the best son she could’ve ever asked for. Thank you for sharing your wonderful mom’s story. You’ve touched my heart.

I saw it too ,and I don't think it even registered with that clown .He's going to prison thinking he's been wronged and he doesn't deserve the sentence he's been given .l doubt that he will ever do anything but feel sorry for himself for the rest of his life ..Think about the poor woman who had to show here face in court as the mother of his child ...it's just so sad for everyone .In days of old they would take this clown in the town square and stone him to death Just a few hundred years a go they would hang him in front of everyone.The reason for this is to send a message to those who are watching ,this is what happens to you when you commit heinous acts of murder....

This guy so right you’re so right I love the way he attacks him with his conscience and then I don’t like when the judge’s last him to the site with the victims over and say I’m not gonna shoot back there’s no other way. Besides, my conscience is clear this was God’s will he tries to clear that up for over two hours he thinks he’s going to a mental hospital where there’s medication because the judge completely. She’s given up power again just like that from the get-go you can’t do that with someone like this, but this man gets up here and let him know that he is nothing but he is a waste of space.

Well said. Impact statements are not to make the perpetrator feel sorry. That is impossible. It is an opportunity to express your feelings and to confront the evil doer. in this case, I am glad that the victims statements are public, so that everyone can stand with those who lost their love ones and express their sorrow for them.
He shows the jury this kind of behavior and he wants compassion forgiveness He is literally Putting himself in prison for the rest of his life Because of his behavior If he can't have compassion for other people how does He think compassion Should be given to him He's making a horrible situation Worse for himself his mother must be horrifyed His behavior in court. Unfortunately, folks, if he learns to play his games in prison, he might get used to prison. Prisons are full of criminals. He needs someone to get under his skin and get him to understand the truth of what he did.
Have you ever been locked up??? Incarceration sucks for anyone, but people like him with such a need for control find prison to be absolute HELL. And he'll be hated by the prison population to the point where he will be segregated. His life is abject misery. Suggesting anything else is, IMO, speaking from ignorance.

We are not to judge is Christian wisdom. I also just accept it on faith as real sense and the fact of it. Like Christians, thank God for them, lambs are way better and free. There's nothing more that can be said on their behalf in their defense, frankly. All the sins purgatory - the 555 not the 666 needing to be saved - and worse levels, aqua, the gates of hell, plague people as truth can't be imagined the way they persecute - not declare war on us with. Think about 3 more 700 year parts to a war age, just to protect anyone, again.
What I wrote actually didn't cause it as reversed, or parallel a cult. It was about the literal evil ongoings and evil's unfolding strategy so exactly in time that it just couldn't prevent what it was about to I think like a just removed (then) separation just like if an election was stolen, by evil. If you read it, you'd see what I mean. Like colonel mustard just being removed for something. I barely understand if some shabby, bad person could be: good (not could be evil).
