We recently adopted a Bengal kitten. She is now about 3 months old. Lily exhibits a lot of these traits. She is very energetic and playful, but sometimes drives our older cats mad with her playfulness. She has become very fond of Lucy, a two year old tabby. They show each other a lot of mutual affection. Lily is very clever and adventurous. She has quickly become an important family member.🇦🇺😺
We have a 1 year old Bengal he's great very intelligent. Definitely a one owner cat he cries and acts up when our daughter goes anywhere he knows her schedule. He's destructive when mad but what a personality we love him. You will have plenty of good times w ur new Bengal
I had a Bengal for 19 years. She was the sweetest, most devoted and most beautiful cat you have ever seen. I have always had cats but dealing with Shundor (Beauty in Bengali) was a learning experience for us both. Bengals are insatiably curious and will poke their nose into any new thing so you have to be a little careful about what you leave lying around. They also require more stimulation than most domestic breeds so you always need to have toys around and lots of interactive play time. Two caveats to owning a Bengal, (actually they believe they own you); they have very long back legs and are incredible jumpers. Shundor could jump from the floor to the top of my 4 1/2 foot dresser without even thinking about it, then when they get up there they are annoyed that it isn't a nice place to sleep because its too crowded so they will push everything off until they are comfy. Second they are incredibly vocal. They talk all the time! They are really funny since it is fairly easy to see what they are calling about. Food is obvious, but Shundor used to get up on the bed and imperiously demand that it was time for me to come to bed with her because she was sleepy. They also have a kind of continuous chirp or ''ack ack ack" going up and down scales. But, they are loud! If your Bengal wants something it is best to obey immediately. To wrap up, she was the best cat I ever had and I still miss her 15 years after her passing.
We have a bengal, and have had her for a few years now. We got her as a rescue, and she's so affectionate and talkative. Not quite as high energy as most bengals are depicted. She might be one of my favorites, because she's always so happy to see me, and even spent some time with me a couple years back when I had some, family struggles.
My brother once worked at an animal shelter-ish company, and they had one stunning bengal female cat. And let me tell u she was a hell of work for them! They require so much attention really and are very active. Also not good to leave them alone for so long! But they are so sweet and loving cats, I definitely recommend them if u have the time and commitment
Nothing like a Bengal screech at a closed door to wake up the house at night. Once they find their voice, look out...love the little imps though. The kittens are 24/7 toddlers, and the adults marginally better.
We got a pair of black part bengals. They seem to have most of the typical traits - including a gorgeous coat. They look plain black but when light hits them you can see stunning shiny brown bengal patterns. Fun cats to work for. If a bit noisy.
I had a couple that pulled into our preserve in a very expensive car, who were dressed to the nines, she had perfect makeup neither had a single hair out of place and their clothes were worth more than my old Silverado. They had the most magnificent Bengal cat. The cat interested me more than his owners.
i just picked up a pair of half sibling girls, they're 5th gen, one being a snow mink and the other a pretty brown. they're not my first experience with a hybrid, which is why we decided to get them, when we realized our elderly tuxes(one a barn cat and the other a rescue) were nearing the rainbow bridge. sadly one tux went down in oct to cancer(14.5 years) and the other one to renal failure yesterday(17.5 years). coming home with that now empty carrier for the final time yesterday was brutal, and having the two new girls helped(we only got them a couple of days ago and they were kept separate). my previous one who helped raising the tuxes, was a F1 hybrid of a bobcat/siamese, a definitely unplanned accident, when her purebred mom got out in her first heat. she lived to the ripe old age of 19 going on 20 and was a serious handful until the day she went. she had the exact same traits listed for the bengals, plus a few more because of how close she was to the wild side, and it's because of her we decided on bengals this time. people need to understand the risks and benefits of how many generations removed they are from the wildcat side and how much work they require because of the personality traits that come with a more recent hybrid species. it's just like with different dog breed have different requirements, from working dogs to giant lap dog danes, you need to consider what you're willing to do to keep them happy... or you're going to have issues and a very unhappy owner of your life.
The bengal cat will be illegal soon in my country (the netherlands). On 1th january 2024. That's because as he said in this video it's a hybrid with a leopard cat
I absolutely agree with this video.. I have a Male and Female, He is very vocal at times. Both are very energetic and require some type of entertainment they get bored. Mine do not Like a leash at all!! Both are picky eaters; my male enjoys raw meat occasionally. Both are very very loving ~My cats are not particularly fond of water...umm. My male is not that Bright, my female is extremely intelligent... Love this breed of cat !!!!
Best cats ever! If you get one though, for you and the cat's sanity, make sure you're set up for it exercise wheel is a must. Earplugs for the 3 am banshee yelling helps. Great with kids dogs and other cats too
Fairly certain our most recent rescue kitty is part Bengal. Didn't know the range of colors for the coat until this video, so thanks very much! Fezzik has many of the traits you mention and his coat is extremely unique. He was initially the smallest kitten we'd ever rescued and has grown into one of the largest. Who knew the meant to be ironic moniker we gave him would turn out to be so prescient? He's only 9 months old now and already is weighing in at ten (10) pounds and still growing, not the slightest bit portly. He's exceptionally intelligent!! I never knew they were so vocal . . .
We heard a kitten 9 months ago meowing in a field next to our house so we rescued it. He was so small and scrawny! We took him in and quickly fattened him up since he ate like a pig haha. He weighs 12 lbs now but he still looks as skinny as a rail. We thought he was an Ocicat at first but now we're sure he's a silver Bengal mix with a mackerel tabby coat pattern. He's definitely the smartest cat we've ever had, extremely energetic, and even gets in the shower when it's turned on! Our other cat is an orange Egyptian Mau but she is a lot older and doesn't like him much because he's always trying to play with her haha. Thanks for the video!
So many regular cats need homes 🏡. Not a fan of a wild cat crossed with the domestic cat. They are quite beautiful though. Very good information here 👍-so interesting.
I was thinking this exactly! Now, if a Bengal wandered up to my house and wanted to live with me, I certainly would not turn him away, unless of course the current ruler of the house, my black cat of indeterminate breed but royal bearing, said no. I did find myself thinking that 15 grand would help an awful lot of homeless domestic cats. Man, I hate to be the killjoy, but I feel compelled to speak up for kitties like my Rudy. He was a "free to good home" baby, and has been a loyal, loving and all-around wonderful companion.
@@p.l.g3190 Yes I know what you mean. I have a brother and sister who needed a good home and they helped my heart heal after loosing my rescue cat who was my faithful 💔companion of 16 years. All were free.

He has had one health issue after another and he is only 3. But he is my everything, my life, my air, my reason, literally the love and light of my life. 🥰💞🥲.
