I have a cat that likes cuddling 😂 close to me to sleep at night. The first thing she does is a head bump. I guess ro verify that I am 2ho she thinks I am.
I guess I have a very well behaved kitty. He doesn't knock anything over & never leaves presents. The worst thing he does is tap me & cry in my face when he's bored & I'm sleeping- which usually means he's ready for breakfast. I love when he gets the zoomies ❤️ His comfy little sleep space is in the top corner of the heated bed with his booty touching me. He has to be touching me at all times when I'm home- which is pretty much all of the time due to health reasons. Adding that he always gives me his belly for scratches & kisses. I honestly think I have the sweetest kitty in the world
Oh, I love it when they get the zoomies!!!! It's so hilarious to watch! The other favorites of my cats are, they LOVE drinking out of fountains, I guess because I have several fountains around my house, I've never seen any of them try to drink out of the faucet. And I once had one cat that would just refuse to cover up his poop!! Luckily the next cat that would go in the box would cover it up for him!! lol. Boxes are always a favorite thing around here and yes a lot of these guys will absolutely STUFF themselves in to the tiniest boxes, I sometimes think they will actually get stuck in there!!! lol. This was a really fun video to watch! The weirdest behavior might be when they really don't realize that their tongue is still sticking out!!!😛😺
The funniest gifts I've seen my mom recieve from our cats where fortunately delivered alive and well. Unfortunately...they were both delivered in my mom's bed while she was resting. The first was a small quial they stole from the neighbors (they bred them, don't know why they also had chickens) and yes they were returned relatively unharmed but since our cats were raised with hamsters & birds as siblings not to kill. It wasn't uncommon to have my hamster walking around and the cats would not hurt him just hang out. It was embarrassing for my mom to have to go tell them our cat managed to either pull one from their cage or the quail escaped and were then caught. They weren't upset luckily just decided to get better cages since not all cats would be so gentle and many cats roamed the area. The second gift was some kind of small backyard mole. I don't know how the heck they managed to tag team and wrangle up one of the moles that lived in the empty land behind our home but they proudly plopped it in my parents bed. 😂 My parents were somehow able to return the poor mr.mole back to his house but it's safe to say it's really scary to wake up to those kinds of gifts while your trying to sleep. My mom thinks it was because he probably looked like a hamster (or at least close enough for the cats) so they probably thought "hey you like these don't you? Want another?". Luckily for me my husband and I decided our cats are in door only for many beneficial reasons. So no gifts in our bed 😅 but those are definitely some interesting memories. Cats are so strange and smart!
Our cat deliver a still alive snake into the shop, luckily my partner seeing that while checking some liquid items. I'm lucky not around since I was freak out with reptiles 🤣. Not the first time tho...😅
My cat Tiger-J does all of the strange behaviors. Very rarely does he stick out his tongue. He does have an open mouth at times after smelling something.
Thanks for explaining the blepping. My cat used to do that frequently and I have many adorable pictures of her cute tongue sticking out. However, I haven’t seen her do it in seven months. Now I know that it is because her sister died seven months ago and her scent has faded in the house. I had wondered about this and thank you for the explanation.
One of my cats loves to drink from the bathrooms sink 😹 i think ill get him a little fountain and my other cat screams when he think hes alone or feels lonely, but he LITERALLY screams is not a loud meow, he screams with a voice pretty deep for a cat, even neighbors can hear him 😹
My black cat often bleps. If I'm close enough to her, I'll reach out and touch her tongue and say "blep, blep". She'll pull her tongue in and give me a look like, "mom, you are SO embarrassing sometimes!" and I swear I can feel her mentally roll her eyes at me. Sometimes I also feel like I can feel her mentally shrug. Or maybe I'm turning into a crazy cat lady now. (Was more of a dog owner until a few years ago.) 😅
I remember one time when I was a kid, it was my moms birthday and the whole family was over. Our cat decided to give my mom a gift as well, by walking in and dropping a dead mouse in the middle of the living room in front of everyone. It was very sweet of her but I dont think my mom appreciated it much.
Plenty of times I've seen cats in small spaces they can't fit their whole body in. Right now I remember a cat I had trying to fit in a kleenex box. Hilarious!
When I first moved in with my roommate, her brother's cat brought me a dead spider. I'm terrified of spiders, so I saw it as a "I got'chu" sign. And that adorable gray fluffball loved to hug.
my baby girl shows me who is the boss in the house by never ever covering her poop 😅she always leaves it our proudly like "look mommy, what I made for you" 😺😹
I've had alot of head bunting from my cats. The one I have now does that plenty. Sometimes out of love, sometimes because he wants something... more likely food with this guy.
My cat only drinks from the bathtub tap, i let it slowly run constantly. I change his water bowl everyday but he never drinks from it, lol And he also sleeps in a Chewy box with the brown wrapping paper, too!
We don’t allow our cat to go outside as we have coyotes. One of our neighbors came home from work and found the torn up body of her cat on the driveway. Also when we adopted her from the animal rescue we had to sign a statement to keep her indoors. We would have done that anyway but it’s their way to make sure the kitty is going to a safe home.
When our cat ran away years ago she would eventually leave gifts outside of our door. I was so excited when seeing the dead mouse knowing she wanted to come back. I keep an Amazon small box for my furbaby to sit in. She loves sleeping in her open door carrier, on MY.PILLOW small dog pillow, on certain chairs but her favorite may be on blankie at the edge.of my.bed. Lol she blepped the other night when smelling my comforter. Lol i said it's only you and me here no other people or cats or dogs.
I believe that the box fascination is also a behavior going back to hunting in the wild. Instead of stalking they find sitting stealthily, patiently waiting for dinner to stroll by is effective too.
What are they doing when they do the Halloween cat? You know, when you look up and they are running by on their toes, with their backs arched way up high?? And when they hop on their hind legs??? I love both!!! 🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱
in effetti il vero padrone di casa e' sempre il gatto.. sono cosi affascinanti.. qualsiasi cosa porti a casa, ci si deve mettere sopra.. annusando il tutto..
Cats are predators.. one of my cats had a preference for squirrels... never witnessed but he left his trophies.. they were all non-native eastern gray squirrels that pushed out our red squirrels.. I've only had indoor cats for the last 20 years.. but no point in questioning their instincts. Nature videos show predators too.. crocs, lions, tigers, bears, wolves... Cats are cats.. Be Well!! 😃
zoomies, lol, we call it her 'funny 5 minutes', but yeah we get a fair bit of that, she comes shooting through the cat flap so fast I swear she'll hurt her neck one of these days. knocking stuff over is a very common attention seeking trait for our tabby
My cat hates going out in the winter so we'll play with him and he'll zoom up and down the hallway. He also is bad at burying his poop. 7:41 When we moved my cat did that all the time! I wonder if the previous owner had a cat or dog?
Not to be disrespectful, but cats are not for everyone. Can be expensive, can mess you house and stains not easily removed. So cautious if this would irritate you. That said i have a cat. I am a dog person though.
Lucky for me my cat doesn't go on my keyboard or play with my mouse or even get up on the table/desk. He will go places he's not allowed though. Like the kitchen counter or on a rare occasion my not so strong shelf on the wall by my window. His brother has times he walks on my Ma's laptop keyboard if it's open and she's not sitting there. And a few times their uncle (oldest cat in the house) has walked on that laptop keyboard when getting up on this small book shelf thing by the front door. The door has a skinny window next to it to look out.
After having cats for years these don't seem so strange anymore. LOL ... My cats have pretty much done all of them but rarely seen blepping, but it sure is cute! Thank You...
My cat blops all the time, but not for investigating! Being fussed, chasing her sis, sleeping, she blops a lot, which we’ve associated with her being relaxed or happy.
Ours used to do it as well! I was on my computer one time, trying to remember what it was I was going to Google when my mate put in "kitten blep" jus randomly! A few lines of results later we saw a lion cub and I said "how long 'til we see a tiger, d'you reckon?"! It was one line! And there were two tiger cubs blepping!
Very interesting, my cat has done all of those except #9, the "blepping", and i consider those as normal cat behavior. Now, earlier today, he was being a "clingy cat", which he doesnt do very often, but i just took it in stride.
I've never had an issue or thought about my cats Zoomies. IMHO: Kneading is just their way of making a nice comfy bed. None of these cat behaviors have made me scratch my head and ask why.
Before finding the term "Zoomies", my family's term for that was "kitty rips"; since our dogs often ran around randomly as well, this became known similarly as "puppy rips". I've come to prefer the term "Zoomies" since it's all encompassing.
I goofed on my original reply, my cat does not drink out of a faucet. As for bringing "gifts".........not "dead" mice, but when he was an "indoor/outdoor" cat, he would bring in live chipmunks and small rabbits, which i would have to chase, catch, and put back outside.............fun times at the Smith house! 😹😹!
I think the gift thing is weird and my cats have never done it 😹 one of my cats really likes to knead me and one bleps sometimes and a few of them show their stomachs but one loves belly rubs lol
I don't understand why anyone would find any of those behaviors odd. Car surfing, now that's odd. I accidentally took my cat car surfing when I went out in the dark of the morning and I didn't know he was on the roof of my suv. I only went a few hundred yards at about 20mph +/- before I discovered him up there. Ever since then, if he's near my car when I start it, he'll jump on the roof for a little car surfing if he's in the mood.
The last one is not specifically about rubbing their scent on your thing, but more about using the heat of those places. When you just sat on your chair, for example, and get up your cat often immediately takes your place. Or sitting on your laptop keyboard, it just gives off heat. Cats love heatsources to snuggle up to, because it saves energy and it makes them feel comfortable and safe.
I used to let my oldest cat outside on a harness, but when we moved, that ended. Our yard is way too tiny, we live around a lot of dogs and other cats, and we have coyotes and such in the area. I'm hoping to build my cats a catio one day.
If my cat goes outside, it's on a leash with someone in the yard with him. As far as I know, he's never caught anything outside, but he's usually good at catching anything that gets in and he presents it because he knows he will receive a reward.
I refer to zooming as trampling with my cat, as this is exactly what he does in the early morning hours too! He comes from down the hall at warp speed, lifts of the ground at an incredible height to land on me, then proceed across the bed to trample my husband before instantaneously doing a great nija move of flipping in midair to be able to land back on my husband, trample me and flee down the hall again! LOL As for the paws outstretched showing his butt, I call this him taking a bow because he only does this before leading me or other things that he seems to be proud of himself for accomplishing. LOL
The cat we had when I was a kid used to push down things like flower pots as a signal he wanted to go outdoors. Trixie, the younger of my two cats, clearly has a thing for marking me as "*My* human, do not steal!" by laying on top of and kneading on my "out of house" clothes whenever she sees I'm about to get dressed up and go somewhere.
Gee, I don't know which it is... Is my cat just leaving all these gifts for me because he loves me, or is it because he is trying to teach me how to hunt. Hmmm?!
My cat leaves me chipmunks, squirrels, birds but the one thing that really freaked me out is when I came home I found a large eyeball on my couch, my cat has both of his eyes never figured out where he got it 🤐
I don't think my cat would nock things over because he wants me to spend more time with him. I spend plenty of time with him when he wants to. I have all day, as I haven't worked for years due to health matters.
Even with those cats who like belly rubs ( like my late cat) it is not as simple. It is not always seeked out. I her case: Just lying on the back without prior interaction = "Hooman, LOOK, I'm SOOOOO happy! / HELLOOOOO, finally you are there!" and similar meanings. No belly rub required. If there was prior interation like stroking, tickling or brushing and she turned on her back in the process of it, different story. ~ 95% chance that she wanted to be stroked and tickled there as well.
I watched this video because my 16 year old cat who is usually sleeping or watching me eat has recently picked up a habit of just randomly sprinting across the room before stopping by the door or the back of the TV stand and yelling out a sound that sounds remarkably like the word “hello”, and was a bit concerned that he’s trying to tell us something…then wouldn’t you know it’s the first item on this list 😂 well thanks for addressing that!
The funniest behavior our cats do...is when they smell each other's butts or clean their own butt and then hold their mouth wide open as if they had a sensory overload and don't really want to inhale what they just encountered...a surprised look in their eyes and almost giving a gag reflex !!
The weirdest thing my cat ever did was when I bought him a puppet squirrel. He loved it, and he would put its nose in his food dish and then he would take it to the litter box. It was so cute.
baby girl always comes to get me every night at 8:45 as we go to bed at 9 and she gets treats for sweet dreams--how she knows it's almost 9pm is beyond me...But she does!
I wonder why my 20 plus cat "howls" at me....I don't know if she has dementia, if she can't hear anymore, or what...makes me crazy! because she does this at All Hours!
1. No they see spirits especially bc she exercises 2. Stop murdering animals and keep it outside if u do 3. My Maine coone refuses to drink water period! 4.she’s an expert at burying poop with no threat to another cat or animal. Only makes a mess 5.she doesn’t knock anything over she’s ocd on her agility 7. She just paws my fave twice a night for food
When l was a child, my cat (Tiger) brought a "gift" to my mother. Tiger was really a lover and not a fighter, so he was very proud of himself. My mother screamed and jumped up on a chair. Cat's faces are not that mobile, but l swear that cat look so hurt at her reaction! He hung his head and scurried out of the room!. It emqasxa long time ago, but l still remember how hurt he looked. That was the last gift she received!!!
My female cats never had a baby toy, like the males did, maybe because they had kittens , but all the males had a special toy , for one, it was a small rubber duck that had a cloth cover. And squeeked, THIS CAT BETEEEN AGES 2- 6 MONTHS. Brought this duck to Bed each night without fail, then in the morning, he would take it out to the kitchen and put it in his food bowl, sometimes I'm his water bowl too. Another young male had small stuffed hamster toy. He also did the same behavior as the previous one. But surprised me when he became interested in a pet mouse I had gotten, already over a year old, he played gently with the mouse, let it ride on his back, it had tubes to run through, which the cat chased him safe as he was, I would put the mouse in a roll ball the the mouse or rat quickly learns to roll it and guide its path, the cat would gently help guide the balls journey , one day cat and mouse were outside on the porch. Mouse in ball cat enclosed with cardboard gate on porch, I stepped inside to use the bathroom, and when I returned the ball was open and the mouse gone. A couple of days later, my apt neighbor says he has a new pet mouse. ( he was mentally disturbed, ) he left the mouse in a cage in the hot sun of a west window, and killed the mouse., I didn't get another because they are a constant mess to clean up,
I don't quite buy the last one, it's almost always been the cat wants attention/food/whatever (at least the human-loving, and abused, ones), and they do usually fuck off after they receive that.

I've never had an issue or thought about my cats Zoomies.
IMHO: Kneading is just their way of making a nice comfy bed.
None of these cat behaviors have made me scratch my head and ask why.
That's a sign you're a cat mom with lots of experience! 🐈❤
Before finding the term "Zoomies", my family's term for that was "kitty rips"; since our dogs often ran around randomly as well, this became known similarly as "puppy rips". I've come to prefer the term "Zoomies" since it's all encompassing.
I'm using that instead of zoomies lol

To me they are, and always will be, "the skitters". Particularly when they are performed on hard floors.
Oh my, how understanding ; ; ? about purring . . .
@@wildbirdbuffetfrenzy4161 oh really,if I may ask,do you have any pets?
Which of these cat behaviors do you think is the weirdest? And does your cat do any of these behaviors regularly? 😺
Weird is when my cat Tiger-J sticks his tongue out.
My cat will lie on my chest and lick my face. Just when I think she's being sweet, she'll nip my nose.
Meow
Purr 🐈
The last one is not specifically about rubbing their scent on your thing, but more about using the heat of those places. When you just sat on your chair, for example, and get up your cat often immediately takes your place. Or sitting on your laptop keyboard, it just gives off heat. Cats love heatsources to snuggle up to, because it saves energy and it makes them feel comfortable and safe.
1:18 I don’t let my cat going outside for this reason (well also because I don’t want my cat to get parasites) lol
I used to let my oldest cat outside on a harness, but when we moved, that ended. Our yard is way too tiny, we live around a lot of dogs and other cats, and we have coyotes and such in the area. I'm hoping to build my cats a catio one day.
You're also protecting it from being hit by cars, or attacked by other animals. Cats belong indoors 💕
LOL
It's confirmed! Cats are actually ninjas in disguise. 😹
@@ThePurringJournal Thank you, as I love validation! LOL
Why is it that a 10-lb cat sounds like a Clydesdale when it runs down the hall?
@@ThePurringJournal Agreed! lol
@@jolyndunavant8142 To put the fear in people of them pouncing or trampling you.
Hmmm?!
I've had plenty of cat kneadings in my time. Had cats around all my life (family cat or my own).
2:16 last thing a mouse sees. 😁
My mom have got vis before cloud and one of his sisters kiru sat on my mom’s laptop
My cat leaves me chipmunks, squirrels, birds but the one thing that really freaked me out is when I came home I found a large eyeball on my couch, my cat has both of his eyes never figured out where he got it 🤐
Dear God in Heaven knows how I love cats.
My cat loves bringing me gifts any chance she's gets and loves cat naps her food every day and yes playing with her Tail
My cat sleeps through his "play sessions".
We call them the rips. My Toonces is a teenage cat now and she gets them a lot
What about the Bouvier from Belgium...I have had 4 in my life and they're Amazing. If well trained they're better than a German Shepherd.
Pets are so funny, lovely, cute, adorable I have a German shepherd and pitbull dogs do you have any?@ Elizabeth.
The funniest behavior our cats do...is when they smell each other's butts or clean their own butt and then hold their mouth wide open as if they had a sensory overload and don't really want to inhale what they just encountered...a surprised look in their eyes and almost giving a gag reflex !!
I know that open mouth look on cats well. I've read that it is a way of smelling with sensors on the back of their tongue.
I love watching my cat batting the mice around. It is kinda funny!
The weirdest thing my cat ever did was when I bought him a puppet squirrel. He loved it, and he would put its nose in his food dish and then he would take it to the litter box. It was so cute.
Ermagerd that’s so cute! 🥰
❤ زبردست ❤ v v i p ❤
There is a prepper in... I think Montana that trained His cats to hunt rodents and bring them to Him to eat. I'm serious.
I have 3 fem and 2 male cats the males don't bury their poop. 😂 Got 6 toilets in the basement 😅
baby girl always comes to get me every night at 8:45 as we go to bed at 9 and she gets treats for sweet dreams--how she knows it's almost 9pm is beyond me...But she does!
CatWatching by Desmond Morris. The bible! Verified.
I wonder why my 20 plus cat "howls" at me....I don't know if she has dementia, if she can't hear anymore, or what...makes me crazy! because she does this at All Hours!
1. No they see spirits especially bc she exercises
2. Stop murdering animals and keep it outside if u do
3. My Maine coone refuses to drink water period!
4.she’s an expert at burying poop with no threat to another cat or animal. Only makes a mess
5.she doesn’t knock anything over she’s ocd on her agility
And squeeked,
THIS CAT BETEEEN AGES 2- 6 MONTHS.
