I liked the DW nude, I am not sure what the point of this one is, as according to claims, it's the same thing as dw nude (i.e. a light-weight version of dw). the nude has the full range of shades and while it's also not as long-wearing as the og, it has a pretty good staying power (it fades in a nice way, so that people don't say you look tired :) ).

From this side of the camera that foundation looks just like a Garnier BB cream but just a bit cakey …. Sooooooooo Full!
I usually agree with your reviews, but not so much this time. I really love this foundation. But I also like a lighter weight coverage. I don't think one should expect full coverage with this. I've played 2 hours of tennis wearing it (ton of sweating) and it still looked great! Thanks for the review!

Omg 😲 YES ! I've been waiting 😌 for you to review this product. In search for something other than a CC cream. Oh, did I mention??? After your tinted moisturizer tier video, I went out to get the ELF CC Cream, & so far I LOVE IT!!! Hopefully this one is a good one, cause I love the original one.
I agree the after photos looked like 10x better than the after footage. I was having some hopes but wasn't super surprised either... lol
I would do full coverage that's just the type of girl I am. I try to have no makeup days and I don't usually end up with less makeup 😂😭

Ok so this is the replacement for the double wear light. Not replacement for the original double wear. This is not supposed to be like regular double wear. They had the double wear light for a long time. Plus we have double wear max that can cover tattoos.

I do this why so many of my foundations..i dont bother buying tinted moisturizers!
If you mix the advance night repair it can sheer out the regular double wear however it will take away the matte

Just curious ,the packaging reminds me of Cinique Even Better foundation which is a great foundation. Packaging is similar. Same parent company. Wondering if they are similar. Clinique seems more medium coverage thoiugh.

It’s not meant to give you coverage. It was designed to replace double wear light. All foundations in Estée Lauder are $43 except futurist is $45. This is popular with a lot of older women that don’t like the heaviness of double wear.
it’s called “sheer” for a reason. sheer foundation is only meant to even out skin tone amongst other minimal things. it isn’t created to be full coverage or even medium coverage
What moisturiser did you use please? I always get pilling with foundation on top 😭
Me too!! I've been trying to fix this for YEARS now and no matter what I use. I still pill. 😔
i use the NYX hydratouch oil primer as my moisturizer (when i wear high coverage foundation) and my makeup NEVER pills!! it used to pill like craaazy before when i used regular moisturizer, but this primer really just sinks into your skin and gives you a dewy, not oily!!, finish ^_^ if you’re very oily and/or prefer to use an actual moisturizer, i’d recommended either the Neutrogena hydro boost gel cream or the Banila Co dear hydration boosting cream (this is a “before makeup” specific moisturizer). These two also work better if you use a sheer coverage foundation/tint or just some concealer. Also when applying moisturizer make sure to mostly pat it into your skin instead of rubbing it into your skin :) hope this helps!!
I've used estee lauder for 10 plus years. Now it doesn't work for my skin type anymore- I've got pores- sun damage, wrinkles 😩 I'd be more of the sheer method
I LOVE Estee Lauder Double Wear Are you exfoliating? I had the same problem years ago and then I used a liquid exfoliator and it smoothed out my skin and minimized my pores.
My skin is changing and I think I might not be able to use it much longer. Before I would set it now I cant. Now I need a hydrating setting spray

Try using a different skincare routine. Use the idealist serum and the revitalizing supreme moisturizer. Then prime with the smoother primer. Even try using retinol occasionally and a peel
