Kraig, I dunno why I haven’t commented about this in the past but honestly since finding your channel a couple years ago your videos have become my immediate go to when I’m having a bad day with my anxiety. Watching a video will literally completely calm me down and bring me into the present. They have all been such a gift to watch. Thank you for helping me with improving my mental health.
@@mariarohmer2374 I'm not a fan of heights, so it was a bit gnarly but at the end of the day, it was worth it. Wish I had more time to check out the Narrows and a bunch of other hikes as well. I think in some ways Zion is even more spectacular than Yosemite. You'll be fine, it's a great workout(feel the burn) sprinkled with some adrenaline and topped with a great view. Have fun, Maria!
@@chrisnigul I am also not a fan of heights. But to be among such beauty would be worth fighting through the fear. Y’know I felt the same way regarding Yosemite & Zion. It looks so special. It’s an achingly beautiful landscape and I want to experience it. Thank you and take care!😀☮️
@@mariarohmer2374 go as far as you can, turning around halfway is common but the chains do lessen the anxiety a little... also if you turnaround or even after completion continue up the west rim trail to the highest point visible from scout lookout and you can go off trail a little to look down on the temple of sinawava
I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve done that hike. My go to hike when I share Zion with someone new. Crazy how busy it’s become over the years. Next time you go, check out Oscar’s Cafe, it’s my go to place for breakfast and dinner.
@@ashley_sprinkles no, it's been a couple years since I went. Zion National Park is pretty good at posting on twitter and Instagram so you could probably get a hold of someone there!
I’ve hiked this trail 3 times. After the first time I asked a Ranger how they do rescues. He said all we need is a shovel and a bag. Great hike without the crowds. Your videos are great! Very inspiring.
I love seeing other people out enjoying nature but I can’t handle the extra noise and constant talking. I love how you experience nature in silence. We need to preserve that. Silence in nature is precious and healing.
I'm glad you went back to Full Frame. the video quality on this is STUNNING. That valley shot just had me swearing in disbelief over and over again. BEAUTIFUL as always Kraig. I really mean it. If anything the fact you can't hear me verbally say it undersells how it really makes me feel.
Kraig, so grateful to you for promoting our wonderful national parks. My partner and I have been enjoying your amazing, meditative videos. I have joined your RUclips channel for a couple of months as a way of paying you back. Keep up the good work.
WOW 3:13 - That is the shot! I can see how some would hate the chain length rails because it takes the natural beauty away but at least the NPS installs them and invites you to go that way. Many public land management areas would sign that area asking you to stay off the rocks. Great video, as always :)
I just did this hike four days ago!! Highly recommend, but beware of the crowds. There are tons of people, especially in the middle of the day. Thanks for a great video Kraig
My divide-by-two skills are better than ever because of your videos: "Yes! A new 7-minute Kraig Adams video which means 3,5 minutes of awesome mountain scenery!"
As a Brit when I climbed it, it blew me away. Never saw this kind of landscape before, or wildlife (vultures, tarantula, chipmunks ect) I can see why it's crazy busy except for sunrise. Nearly broke my ankle on the way down due to wearing overly stiff boots. Did a 14er a few days after was an amazing trip.
Great video, I have done this hike twice and the second time people were flying drones around. I must say there is nothing more rude after hiking all the way up there for the peaceful view and have someone fly a drone around. So I appreciate the way you went about it and the effort that it takes. Keep it up!
Hiking Angel's Landing a few years ago was my favorite hike that I've ever done. I wish I had filmed it when I went, so watching this brought back beautiful memories.
We plan to visit Zion NP later this year. Thank you for the video. We have a family travel channel, but we love to share our fav walks and hikes and enjoy watching other channels. Keep on trekking!
That is spectacular!! What an incredible view. People moaning about all kinds of nonsense in thier lives when what they need is a good hike and a view like this.
This was the most insane hike we have ever undertaken and you made it look so easy Kraig! But you also didn't hang your camera over the edge and look down the 2000ft sheer drop and it's those views and the vertigo that can get so many people trying this route! Great video! Cheers, Ian in London
Did this one last December, when the shuttles were no longer running. It was so cool, but imagine that sketchy chain climb with patches of ice. Going there in the off season is awesome.
My wife and I just did this a week or so ago. Absolutely amazing. Can't agree enough about going early. Love Zion, but you have to work to get away from the crowds.
I was here last year as I wanted to climb angels landing on the morning of my 40th bday. It was wonderful. A little nerve wracking given it was snowing while I was climbing up but I made it safe and sound and spent about 3 hours up top with very little company as most didn’t go past the lower landing. Thanks for the reminder video.
Wow, that's a simplified version. But u wasn't kidding about the busyness !!! Beautiful shots !!!! 3 hrs... Dude u b in KILLER shape plus camera fetching !!!! For the folks watching and planning to go it's WAY MORE BEAUTIFUL than what you think 😊 u just have to b there to soak it in 🤠. Great work amigo 👍🏽👍🏽😀
I only went there once, but I highly recommend taking the very first shuttle of the day into the canyon. I was the only person on top of angels landing for a solid 20 mins. Didn't see anyone until I was on my way back down and people were just starting to hike up. Worth it. By the time I got back down to the shuttle area I looked back up and saw how many people were up there. And by 9am, forget it. Absolute shit show from 9am-3pm. People were literally waiting in line to access the chains. Screw that!
Kraig you make incredibly beautiful videos that capture Mother Nature in all of its beauty and glory, it’s very inspiring. Keep up the excellent work man.
I live on the East Coast and I hike locally as much as possible (usually hudson valley). But because of work and other responsibilities, I don't get the chance to travel to more distant areas of the US or overseas. So I really appreciate you uploading all these videos so a guy like me can get a little taste. Every single video has phenomenal content to say the least!
Kraig, I just really love your videos so much. Just thanks for your creativity. Just know that your videos give me a lot of pleasant emotions and help me get in a good mood in the morning. Thanks!
Great video, thanks for posting. Had a chance to hike Angels landing in July 2019 with my youngest son but I did not. He went and still talks about the beauty. Next trip I will hike it.
Snow Zion, best Zion. I’ve done this hike in both the summer and winter. Zion covered in snow is the most beautiful place on Earth. 100x better than summer.
I was also up on the Angels Landing in October 2018. Fantastic viewpoint. When we were up there, it was even more crowded with people than in your video. On the ridge there was sometimes a jam and you had to wait. Some people were also afraid of heights and therefore stayed at the viewpoint in front of the ridge. I can only underline your advice to be there very early to avoid the masses.
I've been shooting Sony since 2014 but wow I am impressed with Panasonic now. It looked beautiful in 1080p but I'll have to rewatch film in 4K on my tv to really see it's quality. Amazing film once again Kraig.
Kraig's vides are just what we need to clear our minds of 2020.
Totally agree!
No
2021 is literally just an extension of 2020

Our last name is similar
I don't know what's more impressive these rockformations or Kraig's calves
Im gonna say the rick formations but Kraigs calves are impressive haha
his calves are rock formations
I've done Angels Landing once and it's definitely steeper than it looks on camera. Great hike!
I am so anxious to go now.😀💪🏽

Oscar's cafe is amazing! And that Carrot Cake OMG!!!
I like how calm those videos are. He is probably a good listener and a great friend.
Man those switchbacks were a nightmare for me when I went. Can't imagine going back for your camera every time you filmed haha
but if youtube gives you money?
Did you go recently? My boyfriend and I are planning to go next week was just wondering if there was snow

WOW! I have heard so many people talking about this place! Thank you for taking me there!
I love the strength in those long smooth strides.
I like the new format: more trailrunning, shorter videos but more often. Thanks to you Kraig!
Another great video. Hiking the Angels Landing Trail is top on my bucket list. Glad to see the chain part of the trail is open again

Thanks for sharing the beauty of nature, I love it.
Went in August this year, i loved every second of it man. I want to go back!
Wow pretty amazing scenery there I would be forever stopping to take photos
🍎👍Such an absolutely
epic park and hike. Well captured and love all the animals you saw. Thanks for this. -H
That was amazing Kraig. The rock formations, to just imagine how they came to be that way ... mind blowing.
Thanks for all the hard work you put in Kraig!
I was there in August. So in love with that area. Glad I did it in 2020.. not as many people. And it was perfect
