Thank you for all of these history lessons on boats and makers. I'm just getting into sailing at 44 years old and I have a lot of learning to do. You're a great source to give the context and evolution of sail designs over the previous 50 years or so. Thank you!

I love videos like this just goes to show that you put the work in, you can accomplish anything. Growing up in Florida my entire life I actually grew up with the Lazzara family. Please everyone remember what today is about, rest in peace to all of our fallen warriors. 🇺🇸💯😔

It’s Crockets boat! That is the headline for us older guys who watched Crocket bringing one hot woman after another onto his boat.

The boat I bought in 2014 and being remitted now, is an Endeavour 33. Prior, I had looked and sea trialed an E37 with the B layout (there's an A layout too) in Marathon Key, but had an offer by the time I made my offer. Super roomy boat, and I would have been over my head with that 37, so I found my E33 in Clearwater, FL, not far from the factory in Largo, FL, and love it The biggest job on all monohull Endeavours, is replacing the mast step which is iron, and the iron grid under the main sole. More so on the sketch. The 33/35 not a blue water design but built like a tank, displacing over 11,700 lbs, and 4500 pounds of ballast in the keel. Does not point well to windward in 20+ kts winds, but I'm a cruiser, not a racer. So far, not a single soft spot on deck, or blisters in hull or rudder.

Just finished work on a new prototype sailboat! You might just love this one. It's been tested in 1/12th scale in 30 knots of wind! Doesn't even heal hard! It's flat bottom with a bilge keel that's retractable, I've already filed 3 concept pattents on the sail system. I call it the willow system and it works awesome barely because it's much much lighter than a traditional mast setup in addition it's flexible so that a certain portion can Flex over and heal that way the vessel doesn't have to heal hard the mass does all the work the sales are connected and split tension amongst them which means tension can be adjusted on all sales together off one line which is amazing it's a really great setup. Hopefully soon I'll be able to start work on the full size ship can't wait the 1st will be at 27 and I'll move it up in size from there!! Oh and it's fast!

I just purchased an 1984 Endeavor 38 Ac, sailed her from Sandusky over to Anchor Point Marina east of Toledo this past Thursday. Love the boat, though I have a great deal of work ahead of me to restore her to where I want her.

also have to say, some serious winds blew in last 2 hours of my trip. Lake erie fetched up and the boat didn't bat an eye at it.

How about the CSY family 33,37,and 44
Especially the CSY44 aft cabin walkthrough. It even has a walk in engine room. Built for the charter industry, the hulls could take out a concrete dock! LOL!!

You should do an episode on which years of production to avoid. I heard many companies started cheaping out on glass or quality products. Also, I'd like an episode on small bluewater boats..flicka, westerly pageant, Falmouth cutter etc..

Gary Pye have you ever looked at the Albin Vega 27. They are remarkable full keel proven blue water boats that will take you anywhere. I am 64 years old and have owned my Vega for eight years. She is very fast and easy to single hand. I love taking her out into the ocean and let her go!

I'm new to all this now @ 71 & yet decided I wanted a decent sized live aboard sail catamaran. And aware there just too much to learn per salt life & becoming a mariner. But! I did rise m'eye brow when seeing that Catalac12M for the 1st. time & learned it was the better of the cats in the day & only 3 showing left in the world...? This is good to know about Endeavors & decent cost too! I'm still lookin'! Thanks & fair winds...

I sail a Albin Vega 27. A very strong little boat with a really big heart. Books are written about famous voyages in Vega's. Jarle Andhoy in Berserk, Matt Rutherford in Saint Brendan, And John Neil in his Vega Mahina. Vega's have sailed to all parts of the Planet and a quick RUclips search will bring you to Chuck and Laura on LeaLea, Sailing back and forth from Hawaii to Alaska and back as if they were going out for an evening sail. And many others sailing and cruising on Albin Vega's on a budget. Might make for a interesting video.

Finally, I agree with you 💯 concerning Endeavors,
I'm working on purchasing a 43 CC right now...
Had a 37 few years ago, really liked it too! But a guy offered me 2x what I had in it so let it go.
It's all good though because this next Endeavor with Aft cabin and Sugar scoop stern is just an amazing forever boat for me....her lines are stunning to say the least

Just wondering about that music from episode #76. Just hoping you can share the tune and artist…anyways if you come over to west Michigan (Muskegon), stop by and maybe we can go for a sail on my Pearson Triton. Love you vids and please keep them up!
