Mysterio saying the Army of Darkness line is yet another tie to Bruce Campbell on playing the character in the Raimi films. It was even done up in the Spider-Man 4 pre production images. He woulda killed that role too.
I agree. But I kinda liked Spider-Man 3. Except for the part where Eric from That 70s Show was cast as Eddie Brock. That was a bad idea. And the way they did Rhino in the Amazing Spider-Man 2. They made it bad, is what I'm saying. Even Bruce Campbell couldn't have saved that movie. But Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio was also a great idea.
They didn't set her up to be a boss fight at all... She was the leader of the most difficult enemies in the game and that's what she always seemed like to me.
You know she is in the 3rd DLC. "Silver Linings" if you watch JorRaptor video. Plus there a Twitter of them saying Goodbye because they finish casting. While all the DLC's are finish, they are ending it.
LMAO not it wasn't. The sliver haired woman is NOT a "biggest disappointment" at all because that's your mind fooling yourself, She was NEVER set up or meant to be a boss fight at all. Stop telling yourself that to find things to complain about. You and all the fools who liked your comment.
LMAO not his best. Maybe top 20 but not top 10 and NOWHERE NEAR his top 5 BEST performances he's done. His spider-man rule role here is definitely top 5.
Klaatu Barada Nikto: It's also a reference to an older sci-fi movie/short story. The movie was the first "The Day the Earth Stood Still" the story is called "Farewell to the Master."
Christos Gage is a fucking legend!! His work on the Wildstorm Universe saved it, his work on Bloodshot was insane, Avagers Academy was this generation's Xmen. I'm glad he is getting credit for being one of the comic's Goats!
10:52 also, there’s another Easter egg to the MCU where at the beginning of the game where Peter has all those sticky notes, read them. One of them will say “Call TS, about job details.”
Not to mention they also reference the famous pizza delivery theme from the Spider-Man 2 game in the PS4 game where some random pizza parlors will be playing the song if you get close enough to them. There's also a Tomb Raider nod with one of the book stores called "Tome Raider" which is a nod to the fact one of the devs worked on Rise of the Tomb Raider just before working on Spider-Man.
There's an indirect reference to Ghostbusters in the game. In the southern part of the Island you can find Hook and Ladder Company 8, the firehouse used for external shots in the move, and on the back of the building you'll find graffiti of a ghost.
the fact that mysterio says klaatu baraada nikto could potentially be an easter egg as bruce campbell was planned to play mysterio in the 4th sam raimi spiderman movie
I already got all the trophies in Insomniac's Spider-Man and am excitedly waiting for the DLC and new game+ mode. Hopefully NG+ allows players to keep all the suits they unlocked so I can play the entire game with the Ghost Rider suit.
I'd like to believe that the world is a bit less homophobic today than 16 years ago, so I don't think it would be deleted. Though sadly cheat codes aren't a thing anymore :/
Actually "Klaatu Barada Niktu" is a reference to the movie "The Day the World Stood Still" from 1951. The iconic alien visitor murmurs taht to his death robot called Gort in order to keep him from eliminating the military near his landing site. However, because the writers of Army of Darkness used that same line as a joke in their much more successful movie *EVERYONE* thinks that Evil Dead is the origin.
I'm sorry that you liked a bad game just because the internet told you that you had to like it. Have you tried not being a pathetic moron latching onto something popular just to trick people into liking you?
There's a reference to the pizza delivery mission from the Spider Man 2 game in PS4 Spiderman. If you walk up to the door/window of a specific pizza place, you can hear the music from the delivery mission.
Did you know I've got an entire video on my channel dedicated to What If Mode? As well as a video on the long lost tie in comic to the 2000 game! (spoiler alert I found it)
According to Bill Rosemann, they were told they could not use the famous bull statue in the Financial District for legal reasons in the PS4 Spider-Man game, so they thought it would be fun to have a statue of Lockjaw in its place.
yes, Ash says 'Klaatu Barata Nikto" in Army of Darkness, but both are references to The Day The Earth Stood Still. And considering Mysterio's kinda 50s Sci-Fi thing, that's more likely the reasoning behind it
10:15 actually, the phrase Klaatu Barada Nikto originated in the 1951 film The Day The Earth Stood Still, it was also referenced in the 1986 film Chopping Mall and a couple characters from Return of the Jedi are named after that phrase

“Webs of shadows” and “Ultimate Spider-Man” game did NOT do it better at all in the slightest. Where the hell are you coming from to come out to say that load of garbage out as they were massively limited games that were very limited in scope due to budget.
And especially NOT “ultimate Spider-Man” in the slightest considering how limited budgeted that game was in EVERYTHING and there was only two buttons to do everything with no real gameplay improvements or enhancements throughout the game at all! Saying that was more than enough prove for me to know you have NO to ZERO idea on what your talking about.
I don’t know where the hell your coming from to be spewing this nonsense out that web slinging is done better in ANY other game (especially the ultimate game, like holy Christ WTF are you talking?)
NOTHING about the ps4 Spider-Man’s web slinging was anywhere close to “sTiFf” or “aUtoMatEd”, NOTHING!
It had some of the most tightest and precise button web slinging controls to date from being able to go to any anywhere with varied obstacles to pull from in the environment to get across.
Take your “eH” somewhere else because the only fool here your going to convince that any of that rubbish that you said here is true at all is yourself.
web slinging being “stiff and automated”. In the ps4 game?!? Are you joking?LLMMMMMAAAAAAOOOOOOOOO
That’s a riot right there and a bunch of nonsense. The game Perfected it completely and your a fool for having the nerve to tell any that trash statement right there and thinking they’ll agree with you in that slightest without getting pissed at the garbage you said.
SPOILER:
That silver hair woman was the biggest disappointment. They set her up to be an amazing boss fight. Only for her to change sides. Oh well.
@@Allan_JME She's definitely in it, there's no way they'd name it that without eluding to her return.
Press Enter a couple of times more. Spoiler is still showing.
LMAO not it wasn't. The sliver haired woman is NOT a "biggest disappointment" at all because that's your mind fooling yourself, She was NEVER set up or meant to be a boss fight at all. Stop telling yourself that to find things to complain about. You and all the fools who liked your comment.
I hope Marvel give the license to the Punisher to insomniac games. Would love to see them give Frank the same treatment as Spidey.
This video captures *amazingly* the escence of being a spiderman nerd. 10/10
Yuri Lowenthal was also Mercury in RWBY, one of his best roles to date.
LMAO not his best. Maybe top 20 but not top 10 and NOWHERE NEAR his top 5 BEST performances he's done. His spider-man rule role here is definitely top 5.
Just platinum'd it this morning.
Nice
Klaatu Barada Nikto: It's also a reference to an older sci-fi movie/short story. The movie was the first "The Day the Earth Stood Still" the story is called "Farewell to the Master."
Mary Jane saves Mary Jane and kisses Mary Jane
Man, it sure sound like there was a lot of passion put in this game.
Is just me or does a vr game for Spider-Man sounds cool. Just imagine swinging as him.
Imagine the literal motion sickness you'd get from simply going too fast, let alone doing flips and fighting as him.
@@noahdavis7406 exactly
@@alexzamudio9239 You know what motion sickness is, right? 😅
@@noahdavis7406 yes I do. Just imagine seeing people freaking the hell out while playing
Christos Gage is a fucking legend!! His work on the Wildstorm Universe saved it, his work on Bloodshot was insane, Avagers Academy was this generation's Xmen. I'm glad he is getting credit for being one of the comic's Goats!
I see the researchers also watched every PlayStation (the youtube channel) Spider-Man video on the topic 😁
Poison I’ve noticed it only plays during a certain time of day as well
One of the backpack in the game contains a hat referencing Peter's pizza delivery days
Yo did you hear that they put avengers tower, and the sanctum sanctorum from the mcu into a comic? Thats insane honestly.
There's an indirect reference to Ghostbusters in the game.
In the southern part of the Island you can find Hook and Ladder Company 8, the firehouse used for external shots in the move, and on the back of the building you'll find graffiti of a ghost.
10:10 pretty sure that was a famous phrase BEFORE Army of Darkness.
yeah, it's from the day the earth stood still.
Bruce Campbell said it tho, and he's the one who did the tutorials for the original games that's why it's an Easter Egg
Nate also most likely because both spiderman and army of darkness were directed by sam raini
the fact that mysterio says klaatu baraada nikto could potentially be an easter egg as bruce campbell was planned to play mysterio in the 4th sam raimi spiderman movie
Why does no one talk about the GhostBusters Fire house!?
I already got all the trophies in Insomniac's Spider-Man and am excitedly waiting for the DLC and new game+ mode. Hopefully NG+ allows players to keep all the suits they unlocked so I can play the entire game with the Ghost Rider suit.
8:45 o.0 ...that kiss wouldnt have been removed today, would it?
I'd like to believe that the world is a bit less homophobic today than 16 years ago, so I don't think it would be deleted. Though sadly cheat codes aren't a thing anymore :/
Nicolás Laurino I don't think anyone has ever been scared of a homosexual.
Definetly not, because....well...…………..
Adventure Time...y'know.
Wish they said “no no take that out” to the Mary Jayne missions in general.
Good job, Matt
Actually "Klaatu Barada Niktu" is a reference to the movie "The Day the World Stood Still" from 1951.
The iconic alien visitor murmurs taht to his death robot called Gort in order to keep him from eliminating the military near his landing site.
However, because the writers of Army of Darkness used that same line as a joke in their much more successful movie *EVERYONE* thinks that Evil Dead is the origin.
This game was amazing!
We can all agree the most important part of the entire game: SPIDER-COP!
klaatu barada nikto originated in the movie "The Day the Earth Stood Still". Army of Darkness just make reference to it?
YoungTheFish Yes.
The trainstopping reference is especially funny because Doc Ock isn't Doc Ock yet at that point in the story
The timing is real. I just beat the Spiderman (PS4) game.
And you realized that it was terrible?
The Creeper Dude you’ve made like 3 comments saying this. Nobody gives an actual fuck.
@@The__Creeper
Lol idiot
I'm sorry that you liked a bad game just because the internet told you that you had to like it. Have you tried not being a pathetic moron latching onto something popular just to trick people into liking you?
The Creeper So, something tells me your a person we thinks mansplaining is a real thing, who can not even fucking comprehend that opinions exist
(spoiler alert I found it)
"Klaatu barada nikto" originated in the movie "The Day the Earth Stood Still" (1951)
I got a dominos ad for this. It’s pizza time
3:20 thank you for the graphic, couldn't have understood without it
🎶 Spooder man Spooder man does whatever a Spooder can 🎵
*wahtrev git teh spelin rite m8
I still have the first ps2 Spider-Man game.
This was a great video, DKYG!
BALLS
" No No take that out"
Would like to see a Did You Know Gaming for Sunset Overdrive.
insomniac made the right choice choosing spider man
According to Bill Rosemann, they were told they could not use the famous bull statue in the Financial District for legal reasons in the PS4 Spider-Man game, so they thought it would be fun to have a statue of Lockjaw in its place.
I wish they would bring Sunset Overdrive to PC
It my favorite game on xbox
5A1F really? Is that a fact it or is it just a rumour?
I love hearing matt talk about ps4-man.
1:12 does he know spiderman and peter parker are the same person
ethan it’s called an alter ego
yes, Ash says 'Klaatu Barata Nikto" in Army of Darkness, but both are references to The Day The Earth Stood Still. And considering Mysterio's kinda 50s Sci-Fi thing, that's more likely the reasoning behind it
Did you know? This series still has a better track record than Sonic! Lol
Detective Joshua That has nothing to do with anything but okay then
Nah, Sonic still has the better track record.
Dracomut wow you must be really misinformed on the sonic franchise.
@@quietdemon8138 he wrote that on the Pokémon Heartgold and Soulsilver too. Ignore that fool.
Nah, most Sonic games have been good whist Spiderman has only had 2 or 3 actually good games
the Line from Army of darkness was originally from The Day The Earth Stood Still from 1951
We got Spiderman games but no Elsa games? Smh the patriarchy is real.
10:15 actually, the phrase Klaatu Barada Nikto originated in the 1951 film The Day The Earth Stood Still, it was also referenced in the 1986 film Chopping Mall and a couple characters from Return of the Jedi are named after that phrase
