I waned to let you know that you've inspired me to get in shape to comfortably fit in these rides and be able to walk the 10000000000 feet during a typical Disney/Universal trip. Thank you!
I've lost about 61 lb for this exact reason, and you can do it too. When I started I could barely do 18 to 20 minutes on the treadmill, I'm doing a mile in just under 14 minutes now.
We took a Disney trip March 2021 (never again for spring break lol) and we did 3 days straight rope drop to close- feet & legs were killing me, hardcore Disney rash around my ankles, but still managed to do it and enjoy. Flash forward June- almost didn't fit on a ride at Wild Adventures ("WOW, THIS IS NEW" 😳) Come December, it nearly killed me to walk around Black Friday shopping for about 7 hours. We have a 5 day Universal trip planned for September & I kid you not, that realization I might not be able to fit on some rides really kicked it in gear to lose some weight. Really, a lot, more than some, if I can. Isn't it funny the thought of not being able to walk around a theme park or fit comfortably on RIDES is such a motivation to be hEaltHier. As a former NBC Studios employee, the recreation of Rockefeller Studios is spot on. However, the ride itself made me projectile vomit and that was not kosher.
My youngest son was terrified of roller coasters but fascinated watching them. We finally got him to ride one and he wanted to immediately walk over to the huge one next to it to get on that. He did. Loved them, even jumped out of a plane years later. I really like Jimmy Fallon ride, great to get out of heat, sit down and I just enjoy it. You make the best vlogs.
I feel so conflicted. On the one hand, I am so nostalgic for Universal Studios and want to prefer it over Islands of Adventure. But on the other, I can acknowledge that right now, it's kind of a hot mess. I don't know why Universal added simulator after simulator to a park that was already filled with simulators. I do think Universal Studios still has some gems that still get me excited like Revenge of the Mummy, ET, Escape from Gringotts, & Men in Black Alien Attack. But the amount of diverse content you get in Islands of Adventure makes most of the rides in the original park feel like a joke. I think it's time for a complete overhaul in Universal Studios.
Molly, if you want to watch theme park related Simspons episodes, I can recomand those (not the best by any measure, but you might recognize some places and rides that are referenced): -Itchy & Scratchy Land Season 6 episode 4 -Special Edna Season 14 episode 7 -Selma's Choice Season 14 episode 13 -The Man Who Came to Be Dinner Season 26 episode 10 -Bart's New Friend Season 26 episode 11 -The Last Traction Hero" Season 28 episode 9 I ranked them here but the amount of references. The first one is mostly set in a Disney-like park and the last one just has a small reference to Enchanted Tiki Room.
17:07 Men in Black is awesome! The facts that: you have two endings (defined by your score); you can shoot the other track car and make them spin (when they are aliens); you have a competition in your car to see who will push the red button at the right time; and the search for the best score made me love this ride. I think I rode it more than 10 times in a row one afternoon. Without watching any howtos on the Internet I was able to get scores of 800k+. Never got the perfect score though. Ah... sometimes you may get a faulty gun, I would try and ride again.
Yeah. I find the current line-up of rides at the original Universal Studios park pretty underwhelming. I miss the old stuff like Jaws, Back to the Future, and the original King Kong ride. I haven't been there since Diagon Alley was opened though. Otherwise, I find myself spending more time over at Islands of Adventure.
I've been to Universal a bunch of times and NEVER KNEW there was actually a Woody Woodpecker ride. Maybe its because I've always been too old for it and never have children with me?

I agree with most of what your saying molly but…. Simpsons should be a half a star! I was so sick after that ride and I don’t get sick on rides! Could you please do a 2 day Universal vacation planning video? I'm curious if it's better to do The Wizarding World for one whole day or mix it between the other sections of the parks for both days.
My personal suggestion is to do each park for 1 whole day. If you are big HP fans I would prioritize HP stuff and make sure you ride the Hogwarts express in both directions. But you can do everything in each park in a whole day. Especially if you go during the off season or use express pass.
Whenever we go we always do 2 days and we do 1 park per day. You can get a lot done when you’re at one park for a whole day lol. So yeah it’s just from my experience. Also if you stay at one of their hotels you can get the extra hour at the beginning of the day cause of early park admission. Idk if this helps but yeah
Definitely two days! You get more time in each park, relax and also hit up some great dining options with less stress. We went last summer and it was really fun
Me and my family absolutely love ET!!! It’s just got all of that old classic universal dark ride charm!! While I would never want to see it gone or changed dramatically, I would love to see it get some love and get some updates. Just get some updated animatronics. How great would it be to have A new state of the art ET saying bye to everyone

I saw E.T. when I was a kid and kinda understood the story so when I traveled and rode the ride I was soooo ecstatic when E.T. said my name! I couldn't understand how he knew it so I was crazy about it and talked my mom's ear off due to being so excited about it!
Jimmy Fallon will forever hold hilarious memories for me. We went last year during Covid and there was still social distancing and this guy was waaayyyyy social distancing like three seats between him and others. Well the employee told my brother to keep moving to the point he was sitting directly next to this guy so he buckles his seat belt. The employee then tells us to move down again so we are farther away and my brother had already buckled himself so he was stuck looking like this guy was his dad and to this day we tease him about his “Jimmy Fallon dad”
Great you kept niche audiences in mind. ALL of the sim 3D rides have two built in problems: 1) 20-50% of people have good poisonous mushroom detection. A theory is that we evolved to vomit if our vision is off from motion of body (inner ear "gimbal") 2) With age, video on/off timing gets more out of synch with aging hydraulics and stabilizing mechanicals
Molly. I am not a Simpson fan either. However, you MUST watch season 12 episode 14, “New Kids on the Blecch”. This one guest stars N’Sync and I promise you will love it.
The Simpsons Ride made me way sicker than the Jimmy Fallon one. 🤢 As a matter of fact, our car quit moving toward the end, and I was so relieved. They offered us another ride because of it but I declined. I sat on the floor and waited while my husband and kids went again.

Could you do a video on the roughest rides at universal? I’m going in may and would appreciate a heads up on ones that I might want to skip. I can easily hurt my neck if a ride is too jerky. I rode most of the rides at Disney with no problem. I didn’t do space Mountain because I skipped the dark coasters where I couldn’t see to brace myself. But most other coasters were fine. Thanks!
It sucks how we got back to back letdowns in 2017 and 2018. Jimmy Fallon and Fast and Furious both could have been amazing rides. Instead, they ended up being 2 screen simulators. That was their opportunity to make Studios more comparable to Island's.
No Bourne Stuntacular??? That was actually a pretty damn good stunt show. Even though I was sad to see Terminator 2 close, but it is a worthy successor.
Got stuck almost at the top of rip ride rocket on Wednesday, for a solid 10 minutes. Laying nearly upside down with minimal communication for 10 minutes, greeted by laughs and a “free ride” ticket. Excluding any big ticket ride. Very disappointed in how they handled it when multiple people were freaking out on board. And had a pounding headache for the rest of the day 🙏
as someone who loved the universal Hollywood little f&f sequence was so disappointed in the Orlando one, the jimmy fallon ride was more enjoyable than ff. And that’s saying something bc I loved racing😐😂

I love ride pictures and plan on getting the photo pass. I only see one day and three days options. We are going to be there longer, they really don't have a time frame option? Hoping for 5 days.
They offer 1 day or 3 day extensions to the photo pass. I'm not sure if you have to do it in the park or with the app. (I'm researching a trip for my family and just learned this myself)
The Mummy is lots of fun, but it can actually be scary to a Tween or young Teen. My 13-year-old son finds the commentary (threats to take your soul) scary and the effects are too realistic for him. His favorite ride is The Simpsons. I notice that many other repeat riders are his age - likely they are the only ones who don't feel sick after the ride. I do have a reason for Molly to watch The Simpsons - she will understand many of the snarky comments in the gift store merchandise after the ride. I think you lose a lot when you don't know the back story. How can you drink a Flaming Moe (Season 3, episode 10) without knowing what inspired it?
The best thing about the Fallon ride is a impressive Rockefeller waiting room area and the Roots safety spiel rap. That attraction is beyond awful; half a star is a perfect rating. Fast and the Furious is better, and that's not saying much.
It was the Transformers ride that made me feel sick. Jimmy Fallon and Simpsons, not so much. Enjoyment of the Simpsons ride was greatly heightened by being a fan of the show-so many references, especially in the ride queue. Jimmy’s ride just highlighted the fact that I never watch the Tonight Show anymore. I’d love to see an SNL ride instead, although it might feel dated quickly due to cast changes.
Molly, normally I agree with you on everything, but I would literally rather go on anything else in the park EXCEPT minions. I think it’s a huge waste of time and putting The Simpsons below it is an insult to Universal Studios. 😬🤭
Big facts, but I think she was doing overall for everyone. I like the minions, but not like a 7-8 year old likes minions. Its good for kids, have to get every demographic in the park. To me they need to scrap that whole ride system along with the simpsons ride system. Cause its severely outdated and makes people sick.

That's why we are such a big Disney family....we're not huge coater riders...and a good bit of Universal is not 'timeless' like Disney. I liked Woody Wooodpecker...a little..when I was young...but..is he timeless?? No. Also, why does Universal not allow recording? They may get more of my time and money...if they let Molly film.

Just FYI Rip Ride Rockit doesn’t have any inversions. The “loop” is actually a non-inverting loop and you don’t go upside down.

Rip Ride ugh. I absolutely despise that coaster. I think it’s what started my chronic back pain issues…..it messed me up.
The Mummy is lots of fun, but it can actually be scary to a Tween or young Teen. My 13-year-old son finds the commentary (threats to take your soul) scary and the effects are too realistic for him. His favorite ride is The Simpsons. I notice that many other repeat riders are his age - likely they are the only ones who don't feel sick after the ride. I do have a reason for Molly to watch The Simpsons - she will understand many of the snarky comments in the gift store merchandise after the ride. I think you lose a lot when you don't know the back story. How can you drink a Flaming Moe (Season 3, episode 10) without knowing what inspired it?

The best thing about the Fallon ride is a impressive Rockefeller waiting room area and the Roots safety spiel rap. That attraction is beyond awful; half a star is a perfect rating. Fast and the Furious is better, and that's not saying much.
It was the Transformers ride that made me feel sick. Jimmy Fallon and Simpsons, not so much. Enjoyment of the Simpsons ride was greatly heightened by being a fan of the show-so many references, especially in the ride queue. Jimmy’s ride just highlighted the fact that I never watch the Tonight Show anymore. I’d love to see an SNL ride instead, although it might feel dated quickly due to cast changes.
I really disliked the Jimmy Fallon ride...I got motion sickness too and had to close my eyes. It's a big no for me.
Molly, normally I agree with you on everything, but I would literally rather go on anything else in the park EXCEPT minions. I think it’s a huge waste of time and putting The Simpsons below it is an insult to Universal Studios. 😬🤭
Big facts, but I think she was doing overall for everyone. I like the minions, but not like a 7-8 year old likes minions. Its good for kids, have to get every demographic in the park. To me they need to scrap that whole ride system along with the simpsons ride system. Cause its severely outdated and makes people sick.
THIS. This is exactly how I feel. Minions is a horrible ride and it gives me a headache. I would 100% put simpsons and Jimmy Fallon over it. Heck, maybe even woody the woodpecker too.
I would say Fast and the Furious is the worst ride. I’d rather go on the Woody woodpecker roller coaster than that. I actually love the Jimmy Fallon ride!

Harry potter's forbidden journey makes me sick everytime, even with medicine. But id say gringotts has a slight edge on mummy right now, only cause mummy needed the refurbishment. After it gets out of that I think it will dominate again.

Call us lame, but we love Jimmy Fallon, The Tonight Show, New York landmarks! Fast and Furious - we're on a bus, going to a party, something's wrong - I don't get it. E.T. is sweet. Honestly, it's fives for Harry Potter and the coasters - rest is just fine-ish.

Personally I think the the E.T. ride is wayyy out of date on several levels. Like it looks its been missing a revive for like 30 years.
The only good thing about the fast a furious ride is seeing the cars when you are in line. Other than that, the ride sucks.

That's why we are such a big Disney family....we're not huge coater riders...and a good bit of Universal is not 'timeless' like Disney. I liked Woody Wooodpecker...a little..when I was young...but..is he timeless?? No. Also, why does Universal not allow recording? They may get more of my time and money...if they let Molly film.

YES! You should watch The Simpsons. There's a reason this animated series has endured for 30 years. PLUS- there are at least 7 episodes that directly deal with the theme park experience. Try these- Best to Good- The Man Who Came To Be Dinner: Seas 26 Ep 10, Itchy & Scratchy Land: Seas 6 Ep 4, Selma's Choice: Seas 4 Ep 13, Halloween Of Horror (think HHN): Seas 27 Ep 4, Special Edna: Seas 14 Ep 7, Bart's New Friend: Seas 26 Ep 11, The Winter Of His Content: Seas 25 Ep 14. But my personal favorites are the annual Treehouse Of Horror episodes that usually parody iconic horror films or literature.
