In book one it says that muggles can see dragons and that the Ministry has to change their memory when they see one. So they were smart with how they designed the park!
I feel like it would be so amazing if Universal would set up some kind of interactive hunt that guests could do to find horcruxes through out the wizarding world.

I can't believe they poured all the money into making interactive wands but you can't use them to search for horcruxes! Come on, Universal! And when will you build the Ministry of Magic?! And why can't they have a dueling room where tourists can fight like they did in the books/movies?
There are groups on Facebook that post about homemade things they left in the parks. I've found wands, keychains, ornaments, etc. They give hints and post the hint to Facebook for anyone to find
When My family went to Knockturn Alley my sister had a shirt saying “dobby is a free elf” one of the employees said “dobby is not a free elf”
The employees there are so much fun.

@@christophermichael.w.7577 It's all part of the attraction! Knockturn Alley in the books is full of "shady" witches and wizards who are mean. That's what I love about Universal. They really make it more authentic whereas Disney being family-centered is more sensitive.
Did you know If you ask the employees at filches emporium what they’re doing there ,they’ll tell you that they’re in detention and they’ll tell you what they’re in detention for its really cool 😂
Another fun secret regarding the shrunken heads, if you cast Mimble-Wimble on the heads while they sing Show Me the Way to Go Home, they change the lyrics to say "Let us show you the way to go home, We're so tired of you messing with our heads!".
Well of course we can see the dragon. They haven't captured it and obliviated us yet.
If you're a fan of Harry Potter, or hell... even if you've just watched the movies or read the books, this is a MUST visit. Walking into Diagon Alley the first time is pretty much like a religious experience, it's just absolutely surreal!

Another Easter egg in the Forbidden journey queues, I think it’s close to the potions room. But on one of the walls, there is blood as a reference to the chamber of secrets. You’ll have to shine your flashlight in order to see it.
Loving this video Molly! I'm from Peterborough but live in London and one of my favourite things the first time we got the train from Hogsmeade to King's Cross was seeing my home city on the train boards! Kings Cross and the area around it in the park are pretty accurate as a condensed stylised version of actual London so I found it pretty surreal to be there! Thanks for another great video, hoping to make it to Florida again in 2022!
They actually put a decent amount of effort into keeping those train boards acxurate to london

I love how excited you get when you see everything in HP world Molly! I am the exact same way haha.
Molly did you know if you go to the Money Exchange and ask the goblin if he's a house elf and just keep asking if he's a house elf and he will get angry and argue with you!!!!

And you can exchange your muggle money for Gringotts bank notes. Even more amazing, they are accepted as legal tender inside Diagon Alley. I WISH they had vending machines to dispense knuts, sickles and galleons. That would have been an equally fun souvenir to take home.

One thing in the Hagrid's que in the bottom left of the cabinet is the golden egg.
You really look at the details and totally know your HP stuff, I like that!
I opened up my queue and saw a 45+ minute Molly video, I am in Heaven, or should I say Hogwarts!, great video and so much to see
I cried like a baby the entire time I visited both parks. Hands down the best day of my life.

We've been twice, and still are learning and finding new things. Gotta get back! We miss it so much.
One thing we were waiting for you to do, especially after asking TMs about Platform 9 3/4, was asking the TMs at Filch's about how they got in detention. One of the best tidbits we took in while there. Also take that extra little entrance into Knockturn Alley to see the moving Bellatrix wanted poster!

The Hares to swimming with Bow legged Women is also a MASH reference, Col. Potter is heard sinniing/ humming the song at times
Seeing the park that empty is crazy - the wait times must be absolutely perfect.
Also, go back with the interactive wand and set off the fart smell in Diagon. Way too funny when people don't know it's there.

Thank you for taking the time to do this. I visited Harry Potter World in 2018/2019 from Australia and I loved every minute of it. This makes me feel hopeful that I'll be able to visit again (Stage 4 restrictions in Victoria at the moment, only allowed out of the house for an hour a day, or to go to work/get food/medicine) so your video is a welcome distraction 🙂

Another fun fact, “The healers help mate” is the book Molly uses in the books whenever she needs to cure a basic wound at the burrow! (I think it shows up in book 6 when Hermione gets a black eye from something the twins were working on)

Thiis is one of the best HP US travelogues - why? All the other vids concentrate on the rides and the shops on the main thoroughfares but yours was the first to even show any of Knockturn Alley in any real detail. Great job!! Greetings from a fellow Slytherin from across the Pond!

In the Hagrid's Queue @ 45:22 in the glass case after the poster Molly shows, is the golden egg from the 3rd HP movie// also a nod to the dragon challenge ride. :) you can see a slight glint from it, it's in the bottom corner of the shelf to the left.
After watching this and the more recent post, I have an uncontrollable urge to rewatch all the HP movies!

Love the video Molly! Just as a side note as a fellow brit the destinations on the board at Kings Cross are actually places for all over the UK not just London! Kings Cross is one of the major stations in London that has national arrivals and depatures :D

I remember riding dueling dragons the inaugral year for Islands of Adventure. After the Harry Potter movies became popular dueling dragrons, was refurbished and re-themed as the Tri-wizard cup. So the ride had finally been dismantled and replaced. The second ride used to be a junior coaster named originally the flying unicorn, and than as the Hypogriph. So the unicorn murals may be a nod to the original junior coaster in the same area. The entire area was originally named Merlin's Woods. Dueling Dragons was my favorite roller coaster in Islands of Adventure.
If anyone is curious about the original areas in Islands of Adventure I would recommend looking for the original official soundtrack for the park.

itsoliviarose we postponed. we were planning on going if the cases had a downward trend since universal has so many safety policies but ultimately decided it wasn’t safe either way. the cases had a huge spike around that time

I went to universal for the first time this year in March and all though I went for 4 days I can’t say I explored the Wizarding world the way I liked because I was with other people. I’m going for the OI Meet up and I’m definitely going to take my sweet time exploring everything by myself my boyfriend will have to stay at the hotel if he doesn’t want to walk 🤣🤣 you’re vídeo was amazing and I’ll definitely be looking for these Easter eggs my next time around!
How were you able to film on the train, when you have a camera on you the whole time? They specifically tell you "No Video Recording"

Mind blown by the detail in Kings Cross, as a Londoner I can confirm the destinations on the boards on the muggle side are real. Watton-at-Stone is listed there, which is a destination you can get a train to from Kings Cross, it’s also the place where Rupert Grint aka Ron Weasley grew up. I know because I grew up nearby there too!
One of the most weirdest things as a british person was going into the kings cross area and seeing the train that my mother routinely has to go on for work
The Marauder’s Map in Filch’s store definitely needs to become an interactive experience. It’s closed until you actually tap your wand to it and say the necessary words!!

just wanna say that i am subscribed to many RUclips channels.. but your video today made me very sad. in 2017 i won a trip to Disney.. but universal was not part of the prize that year.. thus seeing your video made me sad at all the things i missed due to it. yes i missed many things when at Disney as well due to time.. if the Lord spares me and the world gets back to normal and my countries currency recovers - i hopefully will do my own trip to Disney and universal in 2022. thanks for the awesome videos they make my day..
Not sure if they still do it, but you can get your postcard stamped at the owl post so when you send them out, its like the owl sent them!

You mentioned that the Forbidden Journey makes weak stomached folks sick. Two questions from that. 1. If you didn’t want to go on the ride, would you still be able to walk through the castle to see everything? 2. What other rides at Universal are known to turn weak stomachs?
