There's usually dual band wireless usb. If your router/modem has 2.4 and 5ghz .. make sure to buy something that can pick up the 5ghz signal for faster speeds.
If you have another pc with a disc drive you can copy all the content in the disc to a usb drive. Or go to the asus web site and download the files there.
Horrible product. The software is dated. Constantly lags, took me about 1 hour to finally get it to connect to my hotspot (it couldn't connect to any wifi despite multiple restarts of the pc and modem and re-instalations of the software). When it magically connects, it loses connection after about 5 minutes and from then on the software crashes and doesnt want to connect to anything anymore. Day2 - won't connect to any hotspot anymore. Connects to wifi now but loses connection after about 5 minutes and the software crashes and it doesn't connect to anything anymore. Worst 20€ spent in my life.
