If you guys ever run into a problem where you plug in a “newer” wifi adapter and it doesn’t function without drivers, I recommend getting a “Tenda W322U 2.4ghz adapter”. It’s slow but the purpose is so you can get some wifi connectivity so you can actually get drivers for the newer adapter you are intending to use. It has saved me a lot of hassling work arounds and highly compatible for just having temporary slow wifi. It works instantly on systems like windows 7 and higher without drivers. The biggest pain with these newer adapters is many of them don’t function without drivers installed first. Having an older WiFi adapter helps you to get what you need easier. You can use a disc of course if it comes with one but not everyone has a CD-ROM/DVD-ROM these days.

However, Desktop computers does not have any wifi feature. With this dongle we can add wifi feature in our Desktop or laptop if the laptop's wifi is damaged. Now, just because your phone and laptop has wifi feature you can't connect to internet. So, you will still need an internet connection. And once you have an internet connection at you place, you can connect to internet using the wifi feature of your device, be it your phone, laptop or a Desktop with a wifi dongle. Remember, this is not an internet connection it just gives your device Wifi capability. Hope it all makes sense now.

It is very good i have this From local market you can get it in just 550Rs and it is much more better than those 200 -250 Rs adapters almost 10 times better and also it has 3 years warranty

i have only tested it at 6-7 meters distance. it works fine. it also depends on the room size and the wall thickness and many other things in your room can affect the signal.
For windows 10 and 11. you don't need to install the drivers. Just plugin the device and it should start working out of the box. Also, in the end of the video i have show the process for windows 10, you can follow the same steps for windows 11.

The black thing you are talking about is probably a Network HUB or a Network Switch. The answer to you question is NO. IF you office is not using a wireless form of Network then you will not be able to use this dongle to connect to you office network.

I don't think so because there is no way of installing drivers on ps4 or xbox. However, there is no point using a wifi adapter on gaming console as the connection would not be reliable. i recommend Ethernet cable.

No, please understand that Wifi and Internet are two different things. This device only makes your old computer or laptop wifi capable but you will still net Internet connection.
what is the maximum speed it can support? I tried this with one of my old pc running windows10, with my home wifi of 250 mbps , but got merely 40-50 mbps of speed. on 2.4 Ghz
I don't have very fast internet connection so can't really test that for you. But, on the box the company claims 150Mbps. if you are getting usable speed on an old computer and you don't need to worry about any cables .then i would be happy with that.
Depending on the computer, your device location , distance and surrounding, you may get different results. So, i can't tell you whether this will work better for you or not. However, tplink has good driver support compared to realtek. I have a realtek Bluetooth dongle and it was very difficult to find the correct driver for that. Also if you want more range then just get a dongle with an antenna attached. I'm currently using one with a antenna.

You can install the drivers from the provided disk. But, the drivers on the disk could be very old. also, a lot of people don't have working cd-drive so, they wouldn't be able to use the driver cd. So, you can for some time connect your phone with your computer, turn ON tethered Internet and install the latest drivers from the tplink site.
My laptop's wifi antenna wire broke due to the hinge of the laptop and now i am getting very weak signal on my laptop, can i use this rather than replacing the antenna wire

I don't think so because there is no way of installing drivers on ps4 or xbox.
However, there is no point using a wifi adapter on gaming console as the connection would not be reliable. i recommend Ethernet cable.
