I want to use the T2U for enabling my laptop to use 5 GHz because there are so many 2,4 GHz networks around my flat such that 2,4 GHz WiFi is very slow here whereas 5 GHz WiFi is fast (Using my smartphone). My Archer T2U is installed, the driver is updated; I can find the T2U in the list of networks, but it does not accept the network key from my router. Does it probably connect to any neighbour`s WLAN? Which network key should I enter?
What do you think the speed could be 'SHARING A WIFI HOTSPOT' for Quest vr? I currently get about 40mbit from the laptop built in wifi hotspot mode. I would like to get it up to 100mbit without spending too much.
It depends on your Internet service provider package you sign. If you sign higher than 100 mbps then can achieve that speed. Like 300 mbps, in theory if 2 devices connected then split it into half. Also, where you use your laptop is a factor that will affect the speed. The closer to your router the better connection is.

To change from 2.4GHz to 5GHz, you'll need to access your router's settings. Here's how you can do it: 1. Open a web browser on your computer or mobile device that is connected to your home network. 2. Type the IP address of your router into the address bar of your browser. This is usually something like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1. If you're not sure what the IP address is, you can find it by checking the documentation that came with your router or by searching for it online. 3. Enter the username and password for your router when prompted. If you haven't changed these from the default settings, you can usually find them in the documentation that came with your router. 4. Look for the wireless settings section of your router's control panel. This may be labeled "Wireless," "Wi-Fi," or something similar. 5. Look for an option to switch between 2.4GHz and 5GHz. This may be labeled "Band," "Frequency," or something similar. Select "5GHz" to switch to the 5GHz band. 6. Save your changes and restart your router. Once you've made the switch to the 5GHz band, you may need to reconnect your devices to your Wi-Fi network. Be sure to select the 5GHz network when connecting your devices to take advantage of the faster speeds and less interference that the 5GHz band provides.
My connection is 100 mbps per month. Plus I already said in the video I’m not close to the router and there are walls blocking. Still, with the same condition, other models work better than this T2U.

3. Check Network Manager:
- Ensure that Network Manager is recognizing the adapter.
- You can use `nmcli` to check network devices:
```bash
nmcli device status
```
If none of these steps resolve the issue, there might be a hardware problem with the adapter or compatibility issues with your computer. In such cases, contacting TP-Link support or considering a replacement might be necessary.
hi the link is not working.. the driver link is not working??
Hi, link is already changed, thanks for letting me know.
Guys don’t download the drivers! If your pc does not have wifi adapters and you bought this so you can have wireless connection then do not download the drivers. First time i plugged it in, down speed and up speed is 100 mbps and quite stable but when i downloaded the drivers my down speed and up speed downgraded to 1 mbps. Their drivers are crippling the archer which is quite odd.
But how would it connect to the Wi-Fi modem without the drivers
Will it connect to the wifi without installing drivers?
No, you need to install the driver first to use WiFi
@@JackyYBT can i install the drivers on a laptop then plug it into my pc or do i need to download the drivers into a flashdrive then download them onto my pc?
Download the driver then transfer to your flash drive and download onto your pc. If you want to use WiFi on your PC.
Does it supports monitor mode
Yes, TP-Link Archer T2U AC600 supports monitor mode.
I want a LINUX Device Driver. How can I get it?
You can go to the official website and search the product. There you will see driver downloads.
@@JackyYBT I can't find the device driver for linux there. 😓
How can I use this on Playstation 4?
No, only supports windows and Linux
Can I play league of legends on it?
If you have a 100 Mbps internet plan it should be fine. But I don’t recommend this based on my experience, I got pretty low speeds out of this WiFi adapter.
Works with linux?
Yes
@@JackyYBT how? Ive been trying all day long :( help please
Download the driver and make sure that your Linux version is kernel 2.6-3.16.
@@JackyYBT i just added you on ig so i can explain you better bc im getting an error if you want of course
try 2.4G for the speedtest
I already sold the adapter so can’t do test.
Too many other choices which are just PLUG N PLAY
This isn't. Forget it
That's why I like competition, it benefit us as a consumer.
i dont know the name of the connection and the password
What do you mean by that?
For me, even after connecting the adapter to the computer, it was not detected...
Have you install the driver?
@@JackyYBT When I try to install it and it's the adapter search stage, it doesn't detect it even though it's connected.
@@JackyYBT 3:00 I have the same information, but the adapter is already connected

Anyone know how to change from 2.4ghz to 5ghz?
If you mean changing from the main router, you need to enter the account and change it there
@@mont9150 you mean what?
To change from 2.4GHz to 5GHz, you'll need to access your router's settings. Here's how you can do it:
Be sure to select the 5GHz network when connecting your devices to take advantage of the faster speeds and less interference that the 5GHz band provides.
does it support 5ghz
Yes it does, it was mentioned in the video.
Whata f..😂
??
@@JackyYBT you have forgotten how your video starts..
Oh you meant that, I don’t watch my video after I uploaded
also speed sucks
If you are close to your router then the speed will be faster
dude, i got a t1u and im getting 120MBps youre connection just sucks lol
My connection is 100 mbps per month. Plus I already said in the video I’m not close to the router and there are walls blocking. Still, with the same condition, other models work better than this T2U.
does it work with chromebook
Yes, TP-Link Archer T2U AC600 is compatible with Chromebook.
Does it work on console
Nope
