I'm almost 60 years old now. But, when I was eighteen (18), I traveled to Southern Mexico to live in the State of Nayarit on the Pacific Coast where I lived with two older friends of mine at that time who are about 20 years older than I am. Anyway, they invited me to come live with them in Southern Mexico where I would help them build a small adobe house. I lived there for just less than a year. It was an amazing experience, one that I will never forget. Anyway, because we lived on the coast, in this very small fishing village, I got to know some of the local fishermen and oyster divers, the ones who were close to my age or so. A couple of them had small fishing boats that they invited me to go fishing with them at night on several occasions. When we were out, off shore just a few dozen meters or so, as the boat would slap up and down on the water, the water that was splashing out from the font of the boat and that was being churned by the propeller, it would glow this absolutely beautiful iridescent greenish blue. It was mezmerizing. I would reach down and splash the water with my hands and the water would glow. Of course, this phenomenon is caused by tiny lifeforms in the sea are known as bioluminescent plankton called Noctiluca scintillans, which glow a bright blue or greenish-blue when disturbed. Life on this planet is amazing.
Great movie! You really have a talent to capture amazing footage and making great transitions to the next clip! Stunning drone shots 👍🏻 It's great to watch this on a cold, icy winter evening! ❄️
The light you saw coming from the water (I am sure you already looked it up): (Copied and pasted hahaha) Bioluminescence describes the light some living creatures, such as plankton and jellyfish, emit from their cells. But finding and capturing the glow at the right time and right place requires patience, local knowledge and luck, photographers say. Some have put hours, days and even years into capturing the phenomenon. Bioluminescence occurs through a chemical reaction that produces light energy within an organism's body. For a reaction to occur, a species must contain luciferin, a molecule that, when it reacts with oxygen, produces light.

The waves are lighting up because of phosphorus . It’s not a rare phenomenon.
It is very rare, and can only be seen in a couple parts of the world
