We need better covers for the pipework that connects to the rad as it looks awful alongside a new radiator - especially this one. Shame they don't make pipecovers to match such a lovely radiator. Or do they?

Question , (btw love your videos) Rather than draining the full system, why not locked each radiator on same level and on first floor , including around the boiler pipe work, so as not to lose as much water (with Sentinal/protection lose too ) ?
Assume it’s because of air locks around system especially at first floor level?

Why didn't you position the new rad, drill the holes ready and then paint the wall, so you could mount the rad before the paint had fully dried?

How would you redo the magnaclean to avoid the airlock potential?

Take one of the 90s off and put in a 22mm 15mm 22mm reduced end tee then put a automatic blead valve on me thinks should do the job

I genuinely don’t think a towel rail is needed anymore if we are having heatpumps forced on us , the lower temp flow , stops Towel rails getting warm , many are forced to use an electric inverter versions , this isn’t a problem with radiators usually where the volume area is sufficient to warm the towel and room without secondary heat
