My driving instructor in ontario is showing to parallel park where I end up to far away from the curb and have to add a bunch of steps to end parallel park correctly. Also the way he is showing if I was attempting to parallel park in-between two cars I'd hit the car behind me everytime as I end way to far behind the car infront of me. The instructor states I'd pass the test using his method. But it is extremely unrealistic. The way my dad showed me is much more realistic as I don't end up almost ten feet behind the car infront of me
Yes, even if the car size is different, you should still go ahead and check the mirror and look for the brake lights. This helps you align properly and maintain a safe distance, no matter the vehicle size.
Passed my drivers test just now! I was the instructors first 100% he gave. And the first in 3 years to get 100% at that drivers license spot.
I bet that probably doesn't mean much when life happens and you got to work now lol.

Lovely lesson thanks
How much is 3 quator
How much space do you leave from parked car when you approach?
Leave about 1 meter (3 feet) of space from the parked car as you approach to ensure you have enough room to maneuver.
Do we have to switch on left signal in last step were you steer all the way to left let car go in?
Yes it’s better to turn it off because you don’t want to confuse the other drivers that you are pulling out
Good luck 🤞
@@Canadiandrivers thank you. 🙏
my test centre does this in their own lot with pilons , so , what do we do now ?
If the size of car is not same, do you still go ahead and check the mirror with the brake lights?
