- The Sims 2 aesthetic and nostalgia (amazing Sims 2 details and features). Welcome back to my first Sims video in 2024. To start the year off, I thought of doing something a bit different than I usually post, and here's the end result. It's a (hopefully) cozy cinematic Sims 2 video, showcasing a lot of features that we love about this game, with minimal editing, to really get the most out of what the game itself has to offer. I really hope you'll enjoy this style of video. Let me know if you'd like to see more and if there's anything I could add.

*Welcome to my first Sims video of 2024, I hope everyone’s had a nice start to the new year!* 😊
*Well, I decided to try something new and this is the end result, inspired by Pino and Belulu (linked in the description). This is a cozy, nostalgic Sims 2 video, showcasing some features we love in a cinematic way. It doesn’t have a specific theme or a consistent, driven storyline. I decided to keep the editing to a minimum, in order to really get a more authentic vibe, which is why some parts don’t have music and there are no hectic edits that I usually do lmao*

The fact that EA will never be able to replicate the masterpiece that is The Sims 2 makes me extremely sad
i remember the 2007ish era of sims music videos with CC but still always a house that was just green flat + blue sky LOL and also the dramatic home made stories about teen pregnancy etc
And the horror machinimas 😭 sadly i sort of missed the boat coz i only really started watching youtube in ~2011 so while i still caught up with some of the stuff, i wasn’t around when it was fresh 🥲

i had played a little bit of the sims 1 at a friend's house and LOVED it, but the series fell off my radar until i found anime machinimas on youtube LMAO i was totally obsessed with this one sims 2 inuyasha series and it made me beg my grandma for the game, not realizing what CC was and that the inuyasha outfits weren't part of the game originally. took YEARS to realize that's what was going on, and now i'm huge into sims CC as an adult lmao

This was so nostalgic and relaxing. Loved the nighttime setting with fireflies under a willow tree by the water. Beautiful video, I hope you continue to make more. I haven’t played Sims 2 in years, it’s such a lovely game ❤️

the sims 2 probably wouldn't have been as fun to play, IF there wasn't as many details in it.

That cry at 4:23 always has me dying 😂, also it'd be really nice if the Ultimate Collection was available to download for free again since the 20th anniversary is coming up. I already got it the first time, but others need to experience this game fr!

I never really had the chance to enjoy the game as much as I wanted, but I clearly remember having a deep feeling of coziness with the ambience inside the game. Especially in the winter, when the Sims were doing indoors activities and you could hear the wind/snow/rain outdoors. I miss that
Hell yeah, the Seasons pack is so good for that reason, it really takes the coziness to the next level. Such a good game

So relaxing! Some of my favorite Sims 2 ambience includes late at night when the parents can tuck in their children and then snuggle together in bed, and gardening ambience, where everyone in the household is quietly at work farming on a rainy Spring day :)

Haha yeah i’ve realized the sims 2 sound effects are top tier so i added less background music and edits than usual to preserve that authentic, cozy feeling. Has anyone tried to make a mod for the Sims 2 that brings the sims 4 deaths into the game even though death by starvation, fire, electrocution, old age, drowning in pool and ocean, lightning, cow plant, flies, Murphy Bed and sunlight already exists in the sims 2 as well as they exist in the Sims 4 but what about death by anger, embarrassment and laughter or overexertion or make heatstroke and freezing immediately kill sims instead of dropping their needs like in the Sims 4. You probably find out that most people play the sims 4 to kill sims many ways. I’ll be surprised if it can be done in the Sims 2 with the use of mods.
Sounds ambitious but it wouldn’t even surprise me if something like this eventually drops. Would be pretty fun haha, love me some sims chaos
Hey Can you add a pre-made sim from the cas sim bin on sims 2 play as that sim and the sim I want you to do is a male sim with light skin, glasses and black hair and a white shirt and the face is same as the 4th head in light skin male pre-made heads selection from the pre-made heads selection in the sims 2 cas and make his wife also a pre-made sim from cas sim bin in sims 2 which the face is the 4th female light skin from the pre-made heads selection which has blond hair below the first one in the sims head selection in sims 2 cas and also wears a black and gray long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans and absolutely no edits to those sims in the cas got it please and thank you
