I'm glad I came across this video. I'm new to dip pen calligraphy and my husband got me this set. I was unsure how to use each nib. I adore the oblique pen and 512 nib for doing Copperplate scripts. It's a wonderful set besides the ink jars leaking and few screws missing on my box. I hope you do some lettering tutorials like flourished copperplate and old English. Thanks for sharing.
@@false-set The Speedball Textbook (24th edition) is included in both sets. If you hope to have practice paper included, the Complete Calligraphy Set would be the way to go.
Hello, Does this have the same professional quality nibs as you mentioned in the complete kit in the next video? It seemed like you liked the complete kit more, but I could be wrong.
The primary differences between the two sets is that the Complete includes an Elegant Writer marker and a Practice Pad to allow for a solid introduction to calligraphy. The Collector's Set has a much broader range of traditional pen and ink nibs and holders for an artist who wishes to use both broad-edge and pointed tools, along with experimenting with a greater number of colors in the ink offering.
We do not currently distribute the previous editions of the Textbook, but the 23rd edition is likely available through Amazon, John Neal Booksellers and Paper & Ink Arts. Thanks!

The book comes with the Speedball Collectors Kit. It is a very good and beautiful book.
