This channel is such a comfort place for me. I recently gave away nearly all my fragrances, but even though I'm unlikely to be spending money on scents any time soon your videos still bring a smile to my face and brightness to my day. Keep doing what you do, Justin.
I like this video idea. I bought Dior Homme 2020 while it was still getting wrecked on RUclips. I just saw other RUclipsrs struggling to explain why they hated it. All they could really say was "it's not what I wanted". But I could tell most of them were struggling not to like it. So I ran to Dillard's and grabbed a bottle. I think it's fantastic.
Well let me tell you what I don't like (I would never say I hate it). I just look at it as successor of Dior Homme. This one here doesn't have iris note and cacao neither amber and leather. All these were giving warm sweety but rough feeling. New one is just packed with iso e super and musk and you can smell it. To be honest best part of it is opening with pepper and bergamot. My favourite from the line still is and I think always will be DH Perfum. If Dior would come with this DH 2020 as brand new frag I wouldn't mind. They came with it as DH however and did this only for money saying is more modern. This is actually a step backward.
Yup. Dior Homme smells fantastic and I have gotten tons & tons of compliments while wearing it. Finished my 3.4oz bottle and replaced it with a 5oz. bottle.
"I'm more about me and how i feel about it". That's a good feeling, man! You are self assured and confident in that statement. In that regard never change. Bracken was my first fragrance I tried from the niche world and wasn’t a fan at first. A few try’s later and it’s one of my favorites. I have two back ups and my og bottle is half gone already. This one will always have a home in my collection
Best reviewer out right now. No contest. Your content is so unique too. I get a smile on my face everytime my phone gets that Justin Copeland notification. Keep it up bro
I need to the play the lottery because I guessed that you were going to say Cedrat Boise. I love it! It changes a little on my skin throughout the day and I just know that I smell good whether compliments come or not. Great video brother.
I drove about 40 miles to pick up my bottle of Bracken, and decided to do a few sprays to get some idea of it on the way home. That initial clove blast I got really made me think I'd made a bad purchase, but after about 10 minutes I couldn't stop sniffing my arm. I absolutely love it now, and it definitely lives up to its fougere description; when I got home I was told I smell like a plant. 😂
Justin, after all these years you still never disappoint when sharing your opinions. I was shocked to see your #1 on this list, because I also had a preconceived notion that Cedrat Boise was just another Aventus clone, so when I first sprayed it on skin I wanted to hate it because the initial blast reminded me of Aventus. As it settled down, I began to appreciate how it was different enough on skin and now I do like the scent even though I wanted to hate it. Luv your work Bro.
Dear Justin! Today i recived Dior Homme EDT 100ml demonstration/tester bottle (Paid 90 dollar., regular is 130). In EUROPE i often Hear stories that testers Are much better quality than comercial bottles.YOU Are our king, what do you say? I have certainly spent 5/6 EDT bottles since 2000, these I guess we call the original today, and few EDP I can't talk about the difference in the smell then and now because I don't remember but I can confirm that this smell is still just as exciting and smells very, very good. Once Dior, always Dior. ❤️ 🍀 From Coratian coast
Whats up JC, love you videos. I am a fan of fougere fragrances. We are coming in to Autumn here in New Zealand. I am going to purchase either Braken Man or Beach Hut man which I know you're also a fan of. I will likely buy both eventually but I am wondering which you and others would suggest. I am leaning towards Beach Hut man as it is a bit different, but your video is making me reconsider?
Okay, so I blind-bought Mancera Aoud Vanille around 2019 when it was hyped up by a few reviewers. Then when I tried it it was very strong smelling. Another factor was I bought this warm scent in the summertime probably not the best time to buy a warm cozy oudy scent. However, I revisited this gem that no one talks about now in the winter and surprisingly enough the notes seemed to work much better pushing off my skin in the cold and it was like love at a second sniff. I get this s’mores type of vibe from it like roasting marshmallows on a stick that’s been dipped in vanilla. Honestly now it’s a 9/10 for me and it’s phenomenal it’s not skanky oud more like cakey oud enveloped in spices and warm vanilla.
Bracken Man is the only one I haven’t tried but Amouge is a killer house so I trust them ! Will have to get my nose it. I currently have 12 of them I think! Big Fan !
This happened to me with Mancera Cedrat Boise, Dior Sauvage Parfum and Sauvage Very Cool Spray. With Cedrat Boise it was because it gets compared to Creed Aventus (I hate Aventus), and I just didn’t want some Aventus clone. When I finally decided to stop procrastinating I sampled it and fell in love with it. Smells nothing like Aventus👌🏽 With Sauvage Parfum I procrastinated getting it because I didn’t want anything from the Sauvage line because of how basic Sauvage edt is. Also it’s THE signature scent for F boys 😂 but when I smelled the Parfum I really liked it! To me it was Sauvage for cool weather without that harsh metallic smell 👌🏽 And last but not least Sauvage Very Cool spray. Same reasons I didn’t want the Parfum basically lol. But I decided to get it just to give it a shot and I’m glad I did. It’s Sauvage edt without the harsh metallic sharpness. In other words it’s more wearable than the edt. Smells amazing in hot weather and overall a underrated flanker in line🔥
I have the same feeling about Bracken Man. I keep telling myself it's too hard to wear, too complex, too mature, too weird, doesn't suit my style, yadda yadda when I got a vial of it. Now I have a bottle of it, considering getting a backup bottle, and wear it regularly in cooler days with t-shirt, jeans and sneakers. Funny how things change with a bit of time.
I went to compare Dior Homme and YSL L'Homme. Homme (and all the other flankers, as well as Eau Savage!) had this underlying soapiness that really turned me off. L'Homme is just blended perfectly.
One fragrance I hated and now love was Sauavage elixir. Didn't give it a chance when I sampled it. Washed it off immediately. Decided to actually give it a chance and the drydown hooked me in! LOVE
I completely agree with Dior Homme 2020. It's kinda like when an indie / niche artist or a very versatile musician goes pop... but then does pop really well and you have to admit you enjoy it. Maybe like John Mayer... would you consider Dior Homme the John Mayer of the fragrance world? :)
you are right about bracken man I received the sample yesterday and I didn't like it much it was too much in your face I spray it on a t-shirt and leave it in the room when I came back today it was very very nice I thought I have a problem with my nose so I came to see the review and there it is 😅 now it's on the list of the full bottles to buy 😂 thank you for sharing your thoughts
Very random, but I loved the gradual pitch up of the transitions you did with the sauvage concentrations. As a music producer it was very satisfying to hear lol. Also great vid!
Dior home 2020 smells similar to Bleu de Chanel parfum to me, call me crazy. And bracken man?? That dry down is soooooo good, opening is powerful but when it calms Down it's good
For me it smells like Terre d'hermes but fresher. The dry down of DH2020 kinda vetiver but musky and woody. Maybe it's like if you combine TDH with montblanc explorer 🤔 but i love DH2020 because i like TDH but TDH kinda boring sometimes.
Cedrat was my first niche bottle and happens to be my sotd. Haven’t worn it all winter. I really like it. Wonder why anyone would compare this to aventus. Nothing alike
I just got Bracken Man a couple of weeks ago. Like you, I tried to hate it and most fragrances from this house. Now I own 3: Black Iris 53, Journey Man and Bracken Man.
Basically had the same experience with the Sauvage line that you express here, except I went Parfum (not EDT) then EDP. Gave both away. I was hesitant to go to Elixir but did and really like it..
A hundred silent ways is one that I blind bought but after first wearing wasn’t really feeling it, I thought maybe too feminine and floral even though I do enjoy a light floral note as a man. It’s definitely something different After a few more wearings I found it 🔥 I have to not grab for it as often because I want it to last! This thing is niiiccee!
I bought Cedrat Boise a while ago based on RUclips hype. Many said it had an "Aventus" vibe. I did not get this. My problem was I always spray in the air. It was nice. But once on my skin....it was soooo much more. I could smell the depth of its creativity. I love it. But Mancera and Montale have ALOT of good ones at decent prices. I will continue to read reviews and buy. But for me, it was totally worth it.
😂😂 I was betting that your description leading up to the reveal of Cedrat Boise was Sedley by PDM 💀 and Gucci Absolute isn't for the faint of heart but when the time is right to be smoking a cig and wearing a nice jacket....it's at our disposal
I agree… I really ended up liking Dior Homme 2020… Blasted through 1/2 of my 50ml bottle the first year I owned it. It is very appealing. Hard to hate..
Noble Fig... I hated it when I 1st got it... Now I like, not sure what happened. Maybe the fragrance maturated and changed up or my nose did. Either way I like it now!
Got rid of Elixir since it seemed very similar to Oud for Greatness, least to my nose. Cedrat Boise seems simple, but it has the perfect amount of sweetness for a summer-type scent for me.
Hey Justin, great title and content! Well, I smelled Elixir and I thought it was nice but way over priced, the other variations are ok. About Dior Homme, I really never cared for the original, and I didn't like the 2020 much. Gucci Guilty Absolute on the other hand was a love at first sniff, though I still struggle on when and where to wear it. One perfume that I didn't care much for at first but then fell in love with is Patchouli Ardent from Guerlain's Les Absolus D' Orient. It is not for everyone, but if you haven't smelled it, then please do. Another from the same collection is the discontinued Ambre Eternel which is even more intimidating at first, and probably the reason it was discontinued, I think you will at least appreciate both.
Nawab of Oudh Ormonde Jayne , I loved it since I got it but I was putting it off cause I couldn't find or decide when and where to wear it. Now I just wear it whenever.
There are two for me... One classic and one modern -- I used to joke about what old men (and women) could possibly see in Sisley L'Eau de Campagne... Not only do I own several bottles (including some old vintage ones with a bit more depth) but it's my husband's ABSOLUTE FAVORITE of everything I own (which is a lot!)... For the modern one, I tried to be all snobby about the Banana Republic ICON collection... 75ml edp for like.. $48 FULL RETAIL (or around $20-25 if you hunt)... Garbage for sure. I said it.. I even told people that.. I'm a fool... OUD MOSAIC (number 17) is really an interesting and beautiful scent!! It's got Cardamom, PLUM, labdanum, saffron, oud... And the perfumer is CLAUDE DIR... As in most of the Zaharoff (including one of my faves : Signature Rosé, which this BR ICON 17 kinda reminds me of).. So I own it and I'm trying to be nicer.. Just because it's $20 doesn't mean it's trash and $600 doesn't mean it's A MASTERPIECE... Great video as usual
A year ago I test Bracken Man on my skin, and thought it smelled like straight swamp water. I hated it!!! A few months later I went back and with a more mature nose, I began to appreciate. But that initial memory creeps in a little...it's growing on me for sure.
Got an Amouage sampler (Interlude, Jubilation, Reflection, Lyric, Bracken) about 9 months ago and and immediately feel in love with Bracken. Three months later got Jubi.
07:51 CEDRAT BOISE ⚜️ The only one that I miss when I don’t wear it for a while, I have wired feelings to this perfume, sometimes I speak to the bottle. ⚜️ The only one that I couldn’t control myself when I realized the juice almost gone. ⚜️ The only one have a flanker from MANCERA house which released recently called : INTENSE CEDRAT BOISE.
1 NR For Him edt I loved this but I struggled with finding out how to wear it for a good while and then suddenly a switch fliped and I was like , what was I thinking this is actually super wearable . Idk what happened but its one of the few scent I consider part of the signature scent rotation. 2 Mancera Roses and Jasmine this was when I really got into florals and I still had not gotten over this idea of smelling feminine. I love rose , I love jasmine , I think this smells great and will be great for spring, but it is feminine, can I pull it off, its marketed for women was another thing , I was still conscious of at that time. That scnet kinda broke all these things for me because all my female friends really loved it and I got many compliments . I made a point to dress it up a little . It is a business casual sprig scent . 3 Aventus cologne I saw all the reviews -all negative. But I found it for a real bargain and thought I can use this to save my aventus for the cooler weather, I had a smoky batch. Turns out I really liked aventus cologne , much more than I was expecting and I was primed to hate it. I actually like it more than original aventus, which is a masterpiece , I am just saying I like the extra freshness. The substitution of pineapple with orange and mint is a welcomed change IMO. ok here are 3 scents I wanted to hate but really liked and still like
I'm kinda with you on Elixir. I went into it expecting it to not be much different than the original but it blew me away too when I tried it on skin. I don't own it yet and yeah it is overpriced but I may actually purchase the Alexandria Fragrances version after seeing Ross aka TLTG review it on his channel. I still have yet to try Dior Homme 2020...gonna grab me a sample of it first. Gucci Guilty Absolute was a love at first sniff for me, definitely an acquired taste though. Loved Cedrat Boise from the get-go as well despite being someone who's not interested in any more Aventus clones (at the time having just Aventus & Club De Nuit Intense Man was enough for me). To me it's the Aventus clone that's not really an Aventus clone if that makes sense.
I similarly enjoy different. While I do have Layton, I don't dip my toes into the Aventus & Aventus-dupe markets. I remember hating Sedley, now I find it tolerable after wearing it to the gym cause the vibe you get from it in a hot weather / with a high body temperature is very different. I don't exactly love it tho. Alternatively, I don't remember hating Comandante - I found the purchase obsolete because I found the drydown too similar to Alexandria II; now my experience with the scent is different and I like the scent. I rarely find myself hating something only to then do a full 180. The closest I got to that was BDK's Gris Charnel which I first tested in August 2021. I wrote: "Absolute disappointment. Unappealing opening, drydown of flower bouquet with powdery lean. No longevity". Contrast that with January 2022: "Feminine-leaning aromatic with fruityness. Elite potential. The more it dries, the more I like it on myself."
Hold up, So pretty much dior homme 2020 and iso e super is the equivalent of dior sauvage and ambroxan. Is this the best way to describe it? Dior homme 2020 is the iso e super savauge. Savauge= ambroxan bomb Dior 2020 = iso e super bomb.
I just can't get into Sauvage....tried the EDT, EDP and I felt the way about the line that you did. Then I gave Elixir a shot and liked the opening, but I couldn't stand the dry down. I guess Sauvage just isn't my jam. 😆 As far as Dior Homme 2020 goes, I wonder if it would have been received better if it was released under another name and it didn't replace the older version?
People seem to like Bracken Man despite its daring appraoch to a fougere. It has earned quite a bit of positive attention over the years, so people at least like how it smells on me.
Greetings from houston Texas. I always enjoy your videos. I haven't smell the other Dior Homme version. But I have to tell that I love this 2020 version. I would like to you check out a cologne that nobody is talking. White in Black from Lalique. I actually blind buy it and I am waiting on it.
@@stayfreshproductions I forgot to tell you. We can share the same passion. I also play music as you are. I saw your videos and I love the way you play the trumpet. 🔥🔥🔥👍🙏
I was very very against Stronger With You Intensely. I thought it's way too sweet and feminine and it wouldn't match my style. Everytime I walked past it I smelled it to remind myself how bad it is until one day everything clicked and it smelled sexy all of a sudden. I bought a full bottle a few months later.
As you love GGA( i dont btw) i would recommend you try the new Bvlgari Man Terrae Essence. You might love it too. Although fragrantica says they are similar i dont find them similar tbh. Bulgari one is very dry woody spicy but lighter airier one. But u can say it can be put in the same style in a way. Just recently smelled it so i thought i pass the info. Or u might hv already tried it who knows :)
Alrighty here I go, I'm gonna confess! 😬 I tried, and tried, I wanted to HATE MFK Baccarat Rouge 540 so bad because everyone talked, ranted, hyped up, I mean you name it- you couldn't go to a fragrance video without that name popping up (my bad 🙈) and when I finally got a decant I was hell bound and convinced that I wasn't going to like it. You weren't gonna put me in that "box" 🙄 and ya know, for a while I convinced myself that I didnt like it .... Well.....that didn't last very long lol. It's actually my favorite "sleep/going to bed" fragrance. Like people wear that fragrance to feel sexy ....I wear it to go to sleep 😴 (I know right?) 🤦♀️ Idk for some reason it's very comforting to me. Lol Love your videos btw!! I hope you are having a good day ☺️
I used to really not believe that a fragrance can smell great on one person and terrible on another…. Until I tried Cedrat Boise. It goes COMPLETELY BAD on me! I thought maybe I had a bad bottle sent to me. I tried it again in Lennox Mall in Atlanta. Same thing happened. I can’t wear it, it turns to wood immediately, like literally a wooden bench, I get very little citrus and the citrus I DO get is gone in less than 15 minutes
On the strength of Grace’s appraisal of Dior Homme 2020 I bought it. Dior has quality and that scent was my entry of Dior Homme 2020. Gucci Guilty Absolute may have the character profile that’s suitable. Thanks. 👍
I tried to hate Dior Homme Intense. They said it smelled lip sticky and like your mothers makeup bag...why would anyone want to smell like that. But man was I so wrong out of my over 100 fragrances this is in my top 2. Back up bottle worthy.
I bought it for my bro in law as a xmas gift and i got a sample first and BOOM! I got hooked ever since. I sniff it from time to time because im a woman so i dont feel i can wear it 😅
@@whatsilviadid3993 you can TOTALLY wear it. Consider this; TONS of men have fallen in LOVE with this scent, which means the smell of it brings us joy/excitement/happiness. So if YOU smell like DHI, you will smell Extremely attractive. Test it out 🙃
These three fragrances I tried to hate, Dior Suavage, JPG Le Male, and Versace Eros, because it was over used all the thirty and under crowd wore it, and didn’t want o be a follower. The Sauvage Elixer, La Male Parfum, and Eris flame I can rock with. Don’t k is because I’m in my fifty and always been a person who went against the grain.
Sauvage Elixir is really good, miles ahead of the rest of the line now as that DNA has become overdone and annoying (although I don't mind the Parfum) Dior Homme 2020 is a good frag, but Dior Homme Sport 2021 is even better
Dior homme lost me. I hold firm that the original was way more interesting than the current. Gucci guilty absolu is nice to me. As I’ve aged I tend to push boundaries more and like the dark and the challenging fragrances. I wasn’t impressed with cedrat Boise but I got a whole bottle for cheap and now I think it’s a great grab in warmer weather.
The fragrance I hate and I cannot get up the nerve to give full wearing to is Amouage Sunshine Man. It’s very herbaceous and sort of has this olive oil type of vibe happening in the opening to my nose. My sister smelled it and she loved it at first sniff. (Which really surprised me) But, I have yet to like it. All of my other fragrances I liked from the first whiff and I still do. Sunshine Man from Amouage rains on my parade. The other I just cannot seem to like is Signature Royale X from Zaharoff. I was really excited to get this one based on the notes but, there is something in the opening that smells like armpit funk to my nose and I can never unsmell it. My sister on the other hand LOVES the fragrance and picks up the bright citrus and everything else. The animatic mustyness sit DEEP in the background to her nose. Hmmm…that would be an interesting video, “ How we perceive fragrance”. It’s interesting how two people smell the same fragrance but perceive it totally different.
@@stayfreshproductions Sunshine Man gets a lot of love. But, at this time it doesn’t get a lot of love from me. I’m going to hold on to the bottle and give it a whirl when the Fall season rolls back around. It does dry down to a nice vanilla but, it takes a while to get to it. Sunshine Man for me is my MOST challenging fragrance.
You want something interesting try Lagerfeld Classic by Karl Lagerfeld for men Starts with orangy liquor vibe to herbal vibe to ambery feel Might be overwhelming but the experience is very different for every level of notes
as a newbie in this game less than 2 years I have never smelled any other dior homme original Clones etc. I really love dior homme 2020 I would love to be able to find the parfum which is hard to find in usa
Agreed! It's still one of my favorite dumb reaches and a good compliment getter in my experience especially after taking a shower! I go no more than 5 sprays max.
I see why people make the comparison but they are quite different. Rive Gauche is very clean smelling, soapy, and not all that spicy. Bracken - as I am sure you know - is very spicy, earthy, woody. They share the backbone of the fougere DNA but beyond that they diverge quite a bit.
The thumbnail photo didn't look like you at all! It looked like a mugshot. HAHAAH! That wincing expression; you look like you were photographed right after accidentally breaking grandma's best china teapot during a drunk game of charades, thinking that your sudden lunging for props would create an inspired new 'levelling up' in gameplay. ;D PS= Actual video content feedback, ahem. Yes, agreed: 50ml bottles are what I go for as well. For the second point, I don't buy designer commercial fragrances so this didn't apply to me and lastly, I can't make video content for reasons that would take more than a RUclips comment section to talk through and clearly explain. But I always give thorough feedback to the creators who are entertaining me and doing a good job, growing creatively etc. There are a few channels I cannot watch so you won't see any comments from me there. Silence and absence can speak volumes.
@@stayfreshproductions Oh I'm glad. Now, whenever you see my username pop up you'll know you'll need to prepare your peepers for a lengthy comment. I can't help myself, I'm just too enthusiastic about fragrances and about giving hardworking, inspired, unique content creators worthwhile and thoughtful feedback in exchange for the entertaining videos they make for ME to enjoy. Nobody is under any obligation to read my comments, so if they're irritating or too long, just scroll past. I'll never take it personally. People are busy, I get it. But you and Grace are lovely. A real breath of fresh air in the context of fragrance related videos on RUclips. I've only had one clash with a 'frag comm' channel owner and to be fair, she's young and incredibly rough around the edges so I shouldn't have been surprised that her reply to me should have been abrasive, immature and ungrateful. A crude and juvenile chick and it's all there in her videos ("this fragrance smells like shit"). I shouldn't have been surprised that she gobbles up sincere compliments arrogantly but then fixates on completely misunderstanding the points a more sophisticated, older viewer would make and then all too swiftly launches into being snide and nasty in a reply. She's got a long way to go as a personality. What an unpleasant shock. So it's nice when someone gets a kick out of longer comments and takes it all in the spirit of good humour, is able to tolerate differing opinions and verdicts in life and ultimately respects the support their ideological or aesthetic counterparts may offer. That's the bottom line, right? Not everybody is as emotionally mature as you online and not everybody thinks well, sadly. So hasty to misconstrue and be rude about it, so it only reflects badly on them. Nice to find some sunny spots to sit in on online sometimes. :) You deserve much success.
Is it me or is the word Juvenile used in a pejorative way when discussing certain fragrances? 🤔 There's a negative connotation to it, again maybe it's me.
Dior Homme 2020 initially smelled great to me but something about it made me think, “this seems like something one of my uncles would wear,” and I couldn’t get that out of my head. I thought I was done with it at that point. But then I kept coming back to the decant I had and eventually bought a whole bottle. I absolutely love the scent! IMO, and this may ruffle some feathers, I think its scent profile is more fitting for its name than the scent profile of the original Dior Homme. I view it as being much more masculine than its predecessor.
goddamn straight dior homme 2020 is good fragrance. people who hate it are either snobbish fragheads or people who dont have their opinions. new dior homme 2020 is opening of bleu de chanel parfum and drydown of terre d’hermes parfum. basic and unoriginal but pretty damn good
This channel is such a comfort place for me. I recently gave away nearly all my fragrances, but even though I'm unlikely to be spending money on scents any time soon your videos still bring a smile to my face and brightness to my day. Keep doing what you do, Justin.

I've received some very strong compliments while wearing Bracken Man. Just can't go too heavy on the sprays.

It’s a top notch cold weather scent, very cozy 🔥🔥
Bracken Man is the only one I haven’t tried but Amouge is a killer house so I trust them ! Will have to get my nose it. I currently have 12 of them I think! Big Fan !
This happened to me with Mancera Cedrat Boise, Dior Sauvage Parfum and Sauvage Very Cool Spray. With Cedrat Boise it was because it gets compared to Creed Aventus (I hate Aventus), and I just didn’t want some Aventus clone. When I finally decided to stop procrastinating I sampled it and fell in love with it. Smells nothing like Aventus👌🏽
With Sauvage Parfum I procrastinated getting it because I didn’t want anything from the Sauvage line because of how basic Sauvage edt is. Also it’s THE signature scent for F boys 😂 but when I smelled the Parfum I really liked it! To me it was Sauvage for cool weather without that harsh metallic smell 👌🏽
And last but not least Sauvage Very Cool spray.
It does surprisingly well on hot days too. I speak from experience. Give it a try.
@@muntster fougeres are great year round really
I tried to give Dior homme ’20 away too Family they didn’t even want it & I got it back now after I try it again it might be perfect signature scent
I went to compare Dior Homme and YSL L'Homme. Homme (and all the other flankers, as well as Eau Savage!) had this underlying soapiness that really turned me off. L'Homme is just blended perfectly.
Man, Bracken is one of my favourite fragrances damn that stuff is beautiful, unbelievably underrated, just gorgeous
One fragrance I hated and now love was Sauavage elixir.
Didn't give it a chance when I sampled it.
Washed it off immediately.
Decided to actually give it a chance and the drydown hooked me in!
LOVE
Elixir is a masterpiece, honestly I love it.
That's a great analogy hahahah
Lol, a very interesting question.
you are right about bracken man
I received the sample yesterday and I didn't like it much
it was too much in your face
I spray it on a t-shirt and leave it in the room when I came back today it was very very nice
I thought I have a problem with my nose so I came to see the review and there it is 😅
now it's on the list of the full bottles to buy
😂
thank you for sharing your thoughts
Haha funny how it changes huh
Very random, but I loved the gradual pitch up of the transitions you did with the sauvage concentrations. As a music producer it was very satisfying to hear lol. Also great vid!
Haha! Great ear. Thanks bro!
Justin,
I love the idea of this video !!! 😂😂😂
I also adore Cedrat Boise on my hubby …
😀😀😀
Thanks K!
Dior home 2020 smells similar to Bleu de Chanel parfum to me, call me crazy. And bracken man?? That dry down is soooooo good, opening is powerful but when it calms Down it's good
Not crazy. Both have that deep, dried woods smell
Great video and I enjoyed it and have a blessed day
I had a similar experience with Cedrat Boise. I blind bought it and wondered why the hype. I liked it but I wasn’t blown away because of the leather
It’s a really overhyped fragrance in my opinion, too leathery, gives me a headache
I had both of those and gave them away too!
experienced a similar thing with bracken.. but slowly became one of my favorite unique perfumes especially for its category.
That one is great!
I agree…
I really ended up liking Dior Homme 2020… Blasted through 1/2 of my 50ml bottle the first year I owned it.
It is very appealing. Hard to hate..
Without question, Justin provides an educated approach to fragrance…..Thank you.
Thank you Mark!
Noble Fig... I hated it when I 1st got it... Now I like, not sure what happened. Maybe the fragrance maturated and changed up or my nose did. Either way I like it now!
I was actually surprised that I really liked Dior Homme 2020 after sampling it, I will for sure get a bottle in the near future.
Your last selection was my first ever full bottle niche fragrance... Going to try the intense when this bottle runs out
Got rid of Elixir since it seemed very similar to Oud for Greatness, least to my nose.
Thank you Maan! I'll need to try those!
07:51 CEDRAT BOISE
⚜️ The only one that I miss when I don’t wear it for a while, I have wired feelings to this perfume, sometimes I speak to the bottle.
The substitution of pineapple with orange and mint is a welcomed change IMO.
ok here are 3 scents I wanted to hate but really liked and still like
I feel the same way about Aventus Cologne. I think I want a bottle.
Welcome back ❤️❤️
Thank you Yomna
Savauge= ambroxan bomb
Dior 2020 = iso e super bomb.
I tried to hate your channel but your taste in fragrances is good ! Just subbed
Lol. Thanks Joe!
Dior Homme Sport 2021 is very nice too, I actually prefer it over the regular homme
Bracken is an amazing quality juice. Awesome from start to finish IMHO.
It really is!
I was about to pull the trigger on a bottle of Guilty Absolute and this video finally convinced me to. Do you guys think it'll go up in value much?
I think it will continue to rise with time.
I think it would have been better received if it was something different.
Thank you! I've heard great things about White.
@@stayfreshproductions I forgot to tell you. We can share the same passion. I also play music as you are. I saw your videos and I love the way you play the trumpet. 🔥🔥🔥👍🙏
Bracken man for me the best fougere fragrance. I'm fan AMOUAGE 🥇
Great vid Justin. 👌
Gucci Guilty Absolute ✔
Bracken Man✔
Dior 2020✔
Sauvage Elixir ✔
Mancera✔
Were all love at first sniff for me.😁
I was very very against Stronger With You Intensely.
I'll have to try it.
Lol
Love your videos btw!! I hope you are having a good day ☺️
I totally get you! It's funny how we can be surprised when we let go.
Thank you Taylor, I hope you're well.
That disappear is clean
I used to really not believe that a fragrance can smell great on one person and terrible on another…. Until I tried Cedrat Boise. It goes COMPLETELY BAD on me! I thought maybe I had a bad bottle sent to me. I tried it again in Lennox Mall in Atlanta. Same thing happened. I can’t wear it, it turns to wood immediately, like literally a wooden bench, I get very little citrus and the citrus I DO get is gone in less than 15 minutes
Skin chemistry and scent association can completely change fragrances for us!
On the strength of Grace’s appraisal of Dior Homme 2020 I bought it. Dior has quality and that scent was my entry of Dior Homme 2020. Gucci Guilty Absolute may have the character profile that’s suitable. Thanks. 👍
Thanks Kevin! I'm glad you're enjoy DH2020.
I tried to hate Dior Homme Intense. They said it smelled lip sticky and like your mothers makeup bag...why would anyone want to smell like that. But man was I so wrong out of my over 100 fragrances this is in my top 2. Back up bottle worthy.
Absolutely!
Sauvage Elixir is really good, miles ahead of the rest of the line now as that DNA has become overdone and annoying (although I don't mind the Parfum)
Dior Homme 2020 is a good frag, but Dior Homme Sport 2021 is even better
Dior homme lost me. I hold firm that the original was way more interesting than the current. Gucci guilty absolu is nice to me. As I’ve aged I tend to push boundaries more and like the dark and the challenging fragrances. I wasn’t impressed with cedrat Boise but I got a whole bottle for cheap and now I think it’s a great grab in warmer weather.
I own all and enjoy all except for Gucci Love Bracken Man!
Gucci Guilty Absolute has something intriguing about it. Didn’t want to like it. It end up growing on me but I still struggle with it 😂
The fragrance I hate and I cannot get up the nerve to give full wearing to is Amouage Sunshine Man.
I'll be trying that one soon.
Bracken Man is exceptional.
You want something interesting try Lagerfeld Classic by Karl Lagerfeld for men
Starts with orangy liquor vibe to herbal vibe to ambery feel
Might be overwhelming but the experience is very different for every level of notes
as a newbie in this game less than 2 years I have never smelled any other dior homme original Clones etc. I really love dior homme 2020 I would love to be able to find the parfum which is hard to find in usa
Wonderful video
Many thanks
Bracken Man is the best fougere perfume, it's TOP! apparently yr skin is not for them
Did you hear me say that I like it now?
I like dior sauvage. I'm annoyed at myself at times
I sold my cedrat boise and got hacivat instead.
I tried to hate Sauvage edt but it's one of my favorites lol
Agreed! It's still one of my favorite dumb reaches and a good compliment getter in my experience especially after taking a shower! I go no more than 5 sprays max.
Bracken Man is some good stuff ;)
Great to see you here man.
I loved Bracken Man from the first sniff...it ended up as being my first Amouage bottle. I've heard that it is similar to YSL Rive Gauche pour homme.
HAHAAH! That wincing expression; you look like you were photographed right after accidentally breaking grandma's best china teapot during a drunk game of charades, thinking that your sudden lunging for props would create an inspired new 'levelling up' in gameplay. ;D
PS= Actual video content feedback, ahem.
I really appreciate your thorough feedback! That was a very specific description of my expression 😆
Justin has seen the light... Christian Dior Elixir gang stand up👍🏾
Is it me or is the word Juvenile used in a pejorative way when discussing certain fragrances? 🤔 There's a negative connotation to it, again maybe it's me.
There is nothing objectively wrong with it. It's just not my personal taste.
Sauvage is classic
as much as i want to hate "oud" by Vince Camuto, i just can't - it's a dumb-reach and i feel like an idiot on many mornings
Excess causes dismissal of and lack of openness to fragrances..
I view it as being much more masculine than its predecessor.
goddamn straight dior homme 2020 is good fragrance. people who hate it are either snobbish fragheads or people who dont have their opinions.
new dior homme 2020 is opening of bleu de chanel parfum and drydown of terre d’hermes parfum. basic and unoriginal but pretty damn good
I always want to hate a $300 bottle of fragrance I am sure I am going to love😎
Haha!
Bracken Man!!
Nothing special about Mancera Cedrat Boise to me 😳
💚
