I think the ergo's might be perfect on the mxr but I'm probably gonna pick up an r5 I'm a sucker for a soft shot and seems to have less issues at the moment
idk how to explain it, i like my era most for spool valves. It's as soft of a shot as a dsr+ but it has a pop to it instead of a poof. Just got my dren bolt in so I'm excited to see if that changes the shot at all. Still need to shoot an r5 and an mxr to see but I know I don't like the mxr ergos
There is definitely some break in time on the DSR. Probably about 10 cases, but that’s basically a couple weekends of play and a team practice worth of paint. Do you have the IM Pro kit for it? Or the FreeFlow Misfits Mod? The Dye IM Pro kit will smooth everything out a lot. And the FreeFlow Misfits Mod includes the I’m pro upgrade with a FreeFlow customization for even smoother air flow. I’d recommend one of these for an ultimate DSR experience!
Are Dye markers known for hiccuping? Just holding my Icon (haven’t shot it yet) it seems awkward walking the trigger, Like the top of the Billy Wing trigger hasn’t bounced away from the micro switch. And yes, I’ve tried increasing the tension on the spring, maxed out.
@@Blackoutpb14 yes, I should have specified it is a DSR+ Icon. Loosening the spring feels better to walk the trigger but I still end up walking too fast and holding the top of the deuce down before it releases from the micro switch. Maybe this will change when it is pressurized by air.
I see a lot about how smooth the DSR+ is, but mine is a bit jumpy. Is there a break in period or something? Ended up turning the SFR down but that only does so much.
@@Eli-sg6jv Yeah and I’ve seen that has something to do with how snappy it feels, but still shouldn’t be pushing so much air that it’s bouncing around.
I want to like these videos but they almost always end up the same. "These all shoot similarly but just a tiny bit different and the newest one is the best." Dumb and subjective content. Anyway, can't wait for the next video to come out 👍
Still hear it having problems ramping, That combined with the stupid new eye pipe with the o-ring that shreds paint it's a big pass on thing , DSR+ blows this thing out of the water and you can get used one for $600 , i cant see a single reason to get this over the DSR+
The oring isn't shredding paint. The stock oring was just too loose causing possible double feeds. You just need to run the tighter 16 to fix that. My personal guess is the ramping issue is the result of the angle on the oring in the eye pipe however. It's too shallow of an angle which is causing the balls to cradle for just a split second before they fall back into the bolt properly. This of course causes the eyes to delay the shot and kicks you out of ramp. That's my suspicion. I don't have a gun and haven't been able to test it however. I don't even know how you would test it other than firing the gun upward on a steep angle(so the balls will settle against the bolt automatically) with the orings removed to see if the ramp works properly.
Dude, zero excuses. DYE had years to develop this gun and you’re telling me they didn’t pick up that it had Ramping issues? How about you give it to your Pro teams and they can test it when it counts. Not let consumers blow their hard earned money, just like the DLS. And the eye breech, what is the point if it has holes in it? I thought the original design was to keep paint from blocking the eyes. Joel couldn’t even one finger the thing. Kick in the face from Dye
Sup dude!! Dye just droppped the software update for it the other day to fix the issue completely (hopefully lol). He may not of done it or atleast I missed the part that said he did.
@@IBOTCHvx33must six Mach the oring. Larger .685 and up stay 17, anything under run 16. Had an issue with a 16 and larger paint .688 and tested that out going back to 17 and zero issues with an R2 feeding it. Haven’t ran any super small diameter yet with it. Using the flex flow option on the bolt with a 16x2 makes it super smooth.
Everyone knows the new DYE Marker is the DSR with a different body style. To be honest I'm not impressed. I'm loving the SP Shocker ERA it shoots the same amount of pods at around 280psi with the new bolt it should shoot better ! MXR is an absolute machine gun, sound signature is fire 🔥
A little feedback is a good thing
great vid ty for posting this. need to put a 17 oring on the flow restrictor + software update the MXR.

Dye just put out a firmware update today that should fix the stuttering issue that people are having with ramping on the MXR
DSR+ moar guuder
DSR+ looks softer
shoulda threw in the DLS and M2 as well
