AP--- Goosebumps performance each time on LIVE Concerts I was just invited to Journey Concert with AP one time and that's it! ---- that's the start---I watched Journey Concerts many times afterward!! Journey got all iconic musicians and with Arnel Pineda commanding the stage--WOW !! Phenomenal Concert !! The amazing tenor pitch-perfect of Arnel Pineda
Actually, he isn’t pitch perfect and many have commented thrubthe years when he is straining and/or off pitch. I do agree he saved the and after several singers they tried to Replace a Steve Perry. Steve Perry was pitch perfect and every singer they have had, needed to sound as close to Steve. Fans come to here the iconic classic hits that a Steve sand, wrote or co-wrote, often did the arrangement and at one time/album, produced. Steve sang more in his 10yrs touring, than Arnel or any other has done in his 15yrs. (Per online records of ALL of their concerts).
@@joaniepolicy4176, Well, I live through SP years, but SP left, and for more than 30 years, life must go on, and I moved on when I was invited to a Journey Concert with AP, and that's it, he sounds great, I have seen him @Live Concerts many times after that! Of course, there's only 1 SP, the Voice, but SP admitted publicly that he is not rejoining Journey,! SP himself may not sound like SP anymore, he admitted that he would not be able to sing like he used to, so it's understandable..BTW, AP is not competing, he is happy to step aside as/interview if SP is rejoining anytime. If SP rejoins, I'm of course watching him at Concerts too! SP and AP have respect for each other. I'm just thankful that AP is continuing the legacy very well because if NO successful Concerts of Journey, the music fades away along with the band, NO MATTER HOW popular the band was!! Life is too short, not to enjoy the music of Journey while they are around!
At 7:45, the radio station played SP & AP simultaneously. The song, tenor range, timing, and key are all in synched. While they're both tenors, SP's tone is high, making him sound like he's singing on a higher key, while AP's tone is warm like Bryan Adams and sounding like he's on a lower key with an occasional rasp. This clip crystalizes that these singers are different.
@JGreen, Yes, both are gifted, SP started to make the music of Journey well-known and popular but he left 3 decades ago. Thanks to AP that continue the legacy of Journeysongs when the popularity of Journey was floundering when SP left! Both sing amazingly well, Hats off to both of them!!
