We really are blessed to be vegans in these times. Even in the few years I’ve been vegan I’ve seen incredible improvements in what’s available 👍🏻
I hope mushrooms and meat alternatives become much cheaper, right now it's all a bit elitist
A vegan burger supposedly costs so much less to produce(soy pea coconut grains are much cheaper than meat), yet it costs more for the consumer.
Are beyond meat and other just THAT greedy??
We not quite there yet, veganism with a varied non boring diet is still barred from REALLY low income people
If you compare it to making it with cheap chicken cuts this is still SO MUCH MORE expensive with all those oyster mushrooms.
TLDR i hope meat alternatives become much cheaper to alienate less people from buying them
@@Goriaas Make your own vegan meals. You can make vital wheat gluten from regular flour, which doesn’t cost much.
@@Goriaas I'm a really low income person and it's never been even slightly difficult to be a vegan. What is elitist is the idea that it is morally justifiable to harm animals for your taste pleasure.

Someone once told me that they could never be vegan because they were too much of a "foodie". I would just LOVE for them to see this video or try some of Gaz's food.

I used to say this before I went vegan lol. It’s unfortunate people have no idea how much flavour and variety can exist in plant based foods. If anything, going vegan reinvigorated my love of cooking and experimenting in the kitchen.

Gaz, you never cease to amaze me. Just when I start to think the recipe Gods have blessed you with the finest vegan dishes achievable, you hit me with another banger that far exceeds my perception of what is even possible to achieve in vegan cooking.
I absolutely need to make this, expensive as it may be for the mushrooms, this look like an absolute flavor explosion I just cannot live without trying.
My biggest dream is to eat one of these dishes cooked by the man himself.
Though as I have cooked more and more of your dishes, I have to say I've gotten quite decent at cooking them myself.

I made this last night for dinner using portobello mushrooms and it was amazing! It was one of the best dishes I've ever made. It would be perfect for a summer gathering. I would highly recommend everyone try out this recipe! Fantastic job Gaz and crew.

We had a place in Tel Aviv that had this dish. It was made just like this. Unfortunately they didn't survive the pandemic like many restaurants in the city.

@@conniekeshet shawarma specifically. Jamie Oliver visited the shop in Tel Aviv for his very popular UK TV show about cooking with veg, and showed off the mushroom shawarma. He then featured it again on another of his shoes, Friday night feasts. There's absolutely no way that Gaz wouldn't have known about it, it's a 2 second Google away. Google "Jamie Oliver mushroom shawarma" for the recipe.
