    If you put mushrooms gill side up in the sun for an hour or so they work like our skin and absorb a huge amount of Vitamin D. It stays when you cook them as well. Great recipe... I'm off to the vege shop to get portobellos.

    I made this last night and omg!!! It was so delicious. I just ate the leftovers and I think it was better on night 2. THIS is probably the best, easiest most impressive vegan dish I’ve ever done and I cook A LOT! Thanks for blowing my mind. ☹️

    i use a panini machine for my mushrooms its faster and get them crunchy both sides at once.

      beside this is patented so that means we cant do that our selve anyway right? ,i have no casted iron pans anyway haha so im safe.

    Just made them for the second time this week. All I got to say is that food cooked so easily and in just 20 minutes should not be that tasty. Truly amazed.

    Great advice on pressing Portobello mushrooms. Before watching this I pressed too hard, too soon and the caps cracked. I'm definitely going to try this recipe

    Made shawarma for the first time using this recipe and it was probably better than anything I've ordered at a restaurant. It's not easy to find portobello mushrooms where I'm from so subbed button mushrooms instead and the results were amazing. The recipe is definitely a keeper. Thank you so much!

    Cooked this tonight for dinner for my wife and I as I love mushrooms, and it was fantastic. Great combination of spices/herbs that flavoured the condensed mushrooms perfectly.
    I'm not vegan or vegetarian but this was a "meaty" meal that was delicious. I look forward to trying more of your recipes.

    It is said that the very best Shwarma in the world, which won an international Shwarma contest, is a Vegan place in Tel Aviv. The judges couldn't believe it is Vegan. Haven't been there yet. Gotta get there some day. Tel Aviv is the Vegan capital of the world. I think you'd like it there.

    Looks amazing! My mouth is watering 😋 In Turkey we also have cacık, pide and döner which you can taste veganized versions in İstanbul or Ankara. Maybe you can film a "lahmacun" recipe. It is kind of a Turkish pizza but more spicy and hotter than regular pizzas 🌶😍

      @@erelpc you can use any nuts or rice to make yoghurt and then add some water in it, salt, cucumber, some herbs.

    Been trying to create a plant based shawarma for a while, tried seitan, tofu, tofu+tvp, plus a whole host of a different shawarma/kebab type spice combinations. This looks absolutely delicious, and won’t take a days prior prep time!

    I casually caught your “brisket” video and was pretty impressed as I’m not a vegan but that brisket looked pretty good. These ☝🏻 on the other hand look fantastic. Vegan or not, this looks simply amazing. I’m going to have to subscribe... and maybe try a few of these exceptionally good looking “no meat” recipes. Very nice job.

      Yeah, even meat eaters do not need meat all day every day and there is just so much total amazing vegan stuff outthere ^^
      Coat oystermushrooms in dough made of chickpeaflour, water, oil, salt and spices of your likening, bake hem until the dough became cross.... It is great ^^
      Chickpeaflour also makes great "pancakes" just mix the flour with water, a tablespoon of baking powder water salt and optionally sugar, or maplesyrup. They get really fluffy but taste like chickpea so you have to like that flavour

    I have a suggestion for the vegan yogurt. I make soy yogurt all of the time with a box of Westbrae unsweetened soy milk and some probiotic capsules. I always works in my Intant Pot but it could probably be make easily with the old style way of culturing yogurt. For me, I like soy, it comes out with a thick reliable consistancy and you can sweeten it for breakfast, make salad dressing etc. I like Kite Hill products but I think they are pretty expensive for what I need in terms of quantity.

    It’s better to use the round pottery weight that press stuffed vine leaves it’s heavy and doesn’t need so much effort or maybe press them by sandwich grill

    @Wicked Healthy. Purchased 12" stainless steel frying pan for vegan cooking. Could you please share your process for seasoning SS pan or not seasoning the pan? I'd like to use avocado oil to season. What do you recommend? Off topic, I apologize my internet searches have left me dazed and confused. :/
