- Hello, thanks for being here and checking out my RUclips! This video is all about running my Etsy shop which I have to admit, I'm not very brilliant at but I'm doing my best to stock-check and keep everything up-to-date. Packing the orders of prints and original paintings is something that I love and I also love walking to the post office the scenic route even if it takes me an hour longer... that way, I get nature medicine, fresh air and exercise as well!

Ah, you are left handed. They say, the left handed people are the artists and creative ones on this earth. :-D I was a left handed child, but in the late sixties and early seventies, they forced children to become right handed. To this day I have trouble knowing my lefts from my rights, getting mixed up. Nowadays the pedagogical and medical field knows better not to retrain children who are naturally left handed. They have seen the results and what havoc it can create, One good thing that came from all this meddling is, that I can draw and do things both handed. The only thing I can`t do (or only really squiggly) is, to write left handed. But I will have to embrace all of this now and make my peace with it.
Love this video. It is very useful to see how others pack their orders. I sell a lot on Ebay and I come up with the most curious ways to pack stuff. lol. My attic is filled with boxes I have collected. I reuse them and that way recycle them at the same time. To upolster breakable orders, I have not only used old paper/newspaper, but also leftover fabric from my textile studio, or old blankets, or even new ones, that were gifted to me by companies who send gifts with their purchases. (Yves Rocher does that a lot, a french beauty company which sells all natural plant products) .....

P.S. I used to be a teacher like you, teaching Elementary- and Highschool children. My studied subjects at Universitiy were English and Home Economics/Textile. I became very exhausted like you did and suffered from extreme fatigue as well as burnout. I left and became a full time mother. Once devorced and then (a shocking incident in 2014) widowed. My 3rd son was only 5. Then I decided to focus my life on raising him, teaching him the right things in life, also focusing on my writing, my textile art and my newly found sporty activity: Aikido. Since 2015 I suffer from reumatoid arthritis and have begun to find a natural way to fight this desease. I am using diet and lifestyle to accomplish this. I have lost 88 pounds on the way and feeling better every day. I low fat vegan diet with no gluten is best for me. But mindset and the right way of thinking plays also a very important role.
This is why podcasts like yours are so very valuable. To me they are like medicine, a soothing lotion on the wounds that life has given. Healing, uplifting, even when you showed a video in which you yourself struggled. It makes one feel: I am not alone, but that there are kindred spirits out there, going through tough times as well.

such care and love! Where do you get your cards and prints printed? Yourself? A printer or online somewhere? I used a printer here in the states and it is quite expensive. looking for better alternatives :) thank you Wendy..adore you and all you are creating..so inspired!
I use a local printer, go in person ect and support small business.

I hear you... I'm using up what I have and recycling too but am moving into eco friendly packaging, plastic free tape and eco bags too.
