1995 Silverado, crank but no start unless spraying starter fluid. can’t hear the pump humming, replaced fuel relay, checked the ECM, pulling truck bed to check ground now. Hopefully that works. Thanks for the video

Nice video. I would suggest using a brass punch when removing or installing the fuel pump lock ring. Brass does not create sparks, so it's just an added level of safety. Also, o'ring lube is much better for the rubber fuel pump seal. Blown fuse or not, your fuel pump investment is very probably a good investment. Like any mechanical part, the performance degrades over time. If you bought a good quality pump, you should be good for another 175-250k miles. Thanks for the video.

Hopefully you have a fuel pressure regulator with a return line to the tank. If you don't and are choking the pump from 15 psi to 5 psi without a return you will stress and burn out the fuel pump

Use brass or aluminum to tap on retaining ring. Steel can cause sparks

I ended up getting mine off of autozone website, a Delphi pump and float assembly.

    Hi Man
Great video!, do you know where the ground where is located for the fuel pump on the frame?
I’m having issues with my 95 suburban.
    Thank you

Should be held on with a bolt somewhere on the frame near the fuel pump wiring pig tail

I cut out the floorboard on my suburban than it took 20 minutes to change the pump. The tank straps are to rusted so I did it that way.

Overal, I’d say a few hours, maybe 4-5 ish? I also had no idea what I was doing so I was learning as I went.

Hey man what’s the manufacturer of that fuel pump you installed?

It was a Delphi pump from autozone. So far it’s been good, relatively good price too.
