That's why I don't think I'll upgrade and just turn off my wifi when I play until they fix it..... Rather be stuck with what I have than nothing at all....
Yeah I have no mods installed now can't download any and my game is crashing constantly in the menus and in game.

i believe quality mode is bugged at the moment as its meant to be 30fps at 60hz input or 40fps if using a 120hz input or 60 if usin 1440p but iv been gettin 60 in quality when usin 4K input or 1080p input
I cant see the Diference..
Check it out at night, reflections, lighting and shading is better in quality mode, and framerates are better in performance mode. I've been switching performance mode off and on all day trying to see the differences. It's hard to tell at first, but they're definitely different. I'm on Xbox Series X.
I'm guessing you didn't read the patch notes.... resolution between modes are both 4k, so you looking for a difference in resolution, there is none. Quality mode runs with ultra pc settings 40fps if on 120hz. Performance runs 60fps standard pc settings.
Quality is getting more than 40 frames most of the time I’m getting 60 with the rare drop. I’m guessing performance just makes sure your maintaining high frames in CPU intensive areas/scenarios
They're both ultra setting.
Performance isn't Ultra Settings, but you get Ultra Settings at 60fps with 1440p Resolution (Change Xbox Settings) with no Perf/Quality Mode.
One is dynamic 4k so probably not actually running at true 4k most of the time

On a 4k 120 I didn't notice a difference between performance vs not

I have SeriesX but have decided to play this on my PS5 and I’m loving it. It looks a lot better than what I remember. Played abit in 40 fps, but prefer the 60fps option 🙏
Same for series s. Getting 60 fps in both performance mode on and off.
So what’s the utility ?

Yah something is up with the XBox version. It looks less crisp and less detailed than the PS5 version as well (which def is 30 in Quality Mode). Curious if some wires got mixed up as this is not what they advertised with the 2 modes. I’m also curious if they used the One S version or if we still have all the One X enhancements from the higher tier version. I’ll have to test them out a bit more but something does seem off with the XBox version.
Considering we already got 4K 30, 900p 60 with boost, or 4K 60 with the fps mod it’s really Series S and the PS5 getting the bulk of benefits here regardless.
@@mandrews6282 They are using new gdk. So its a complete series s/x version and not one x.
True is didnt see amy difference on both modes, i think there is no quality mode on xbox, i hope they fix it soon
Hope Fallout 5 has far less boarded up unexplorable buildings. This update needs a full Digital Foundry analysis.

It's not a bug fix update, it's a performance and resolution update
@@acurisur then everyone in Playstation Will get 0kb glitch soon because enclave Creation club content has skins which can produce this annoyed glitch AND kill your saves or runs.
Quality mode looks sharper and better graphics settings to me.

The water on PC looks better as well. But I did notice that water bug near wicked shipping where one side is clear/clean and the other side is foggy/dirty.

Yh the modes are bugged on PlayStation it’s actually working on Xbox it’s not it’s meant to be quality 30fps at true 4k and performance is 60fps at dynamic 4k but on Xbox there both 60fps and there is not resolution change

Funny that some people says xbox always looks funny cause ps is the cheap fix if u can’t afford xbox and consoles in general are the translation/fix for people that can’t have a pc

Okay, I am not alone here and I have read comments across social media where players have said the Next Gen update is a disappointing one and I tend to agree. The graphical refresh rate has doubled yes I would agree but the overall graphics haven't improved it still looks the same. Also, AUTO HDR on the XBX is no longer on but Native HDR is and players are getting confused with Native HDR being turned off then it isn't it's just the auto HDR. Also, I wouldn't call 22.3GB a massive update the updates CDPR was putting out for Cyberpunk 2077 at 45GB now that's a massive update but 22.3 lGB I wouldn't call this a massive update I would call it a medium update.

How come before the update on serie x game was 61.4GB and after the update its now 45.7GB?
because the game with an SSD doesnt need extra files to store assets like HDD does
Could also be any mods you had installed that got nuked after the update

Series x quality mode not working at the moment
It looks a lot better ( Xbox series X)if you ask me and I just restart playing like 4-5 days ago and today it looks way better, but I started a new game and I don’t use mods and I’m confused there’s like 5 quests soon as you leave the vault now lol
This is probably the least impressive next gen update ever smh 🤦. Atleast it runs smoother but that was already possible with mods

Ps5 doesnt have the performance menu option yet?
If you got the game from ps+ you have to pay 20 bucks to get the upgrade. Not sure if that's your issue but alot of people are finding this out.

Nope. Mine is crashing also on Series X. Still downloading on my Series S. Luckily I have a ps5 also with same game so I can see which one is better.

From a game that was made Back in two thousand and fifteen Did you really think there was going to be any difference 😂 I tried telling people It was only ever going to be the performance And a few patches to make sure it works They can't possibly do anymore For a game this old 😊

No reason they had to do this at all. The fov has obviously been reduced. Bethesda had the upper hand with 5he fallout tv show and now they have just alienated everyone who was half way through the game with mods installed
