    Two perfect packing cubes to go with the 26L pack are the Tom Bihn Large Synik packing cube (300x445x80mm) and the Small Synik cube (300x220x80). I love these cubes because they are very light, but well made and sturdy. The large one takes a spare pair of pants, spare shirts and a jumper. The small one fits socks, underpants and pyjamas. That leaves plenty of room for a small washbag, like the one from Arcido and shouldn't impact on whatever's packed into the easy access top pocket.

    Thank you for the reviews! I'm very interested in the Bellroy Venture 2.5L sling but it doesn't look like anyone else has reviewed it yet! Deciding between that one, or the Bellroy Mini Sling or Bellroy Lite Sling.

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  Год назад +3

      All three Bellroy slings (the Venture 2.5L Sling, the Mini Sling, and the Lite Sling) have their own unique features that make them convenient for different use cases. Here are some key differences between them that may help you decide which one would be most convenient for you:
      Capacity: The Venture 2.5L Sling has the largest capacity, followed by the Mini Sling and then the Lite Sling. If you need to carry more items, the Venture 2.5L Sling would be the most convenient option.
      Organization: All three slings have different levels of organization. The Venture 2.5L Sling has the most compartments and pockets for storing items, followed by the Mini Sling and then the Lite Sling. If you prefer to have more organizational features, the Venture 2.5L Sling would be the most convenient.
      Size: The Lite Sling is the smallest and most compact of the three slings, making it the most convenient for traveling light or when you don't need to carry many items. The Mini Sling is slightly larger than the Lite Sling, but still relatively compact. The Venture 2.5L Sling is the largest of the three, so it may be less convenient if you prefer a smaller bag.
      Style: The three slings have different styles, so the most convenient one for you may depend on your personal preferences. The Venture 2.5L Sling has a more traditional messenger bag style, while the Mini Sling has a sleeker and more modern design. The Lite Sling has a minimalist design and is available in several colors.
      Ultimately, the most convenient Bellroy sling for you will depend on your individual needs and preferences. Consider what you'll be using it for, how much you need to carry, and your preferred style to help you make the best decision.

    The CHZ26s top quick access pocket is on the back whereas the Venture's is located on the front flap, if I'm seeing correctly. I feel it'd make the front flap overly heavy in comparison to how the CHZ26 would carry the top quick access pocket load.

      @@LiLJrOO7 I ended up getting the Aer Day Sling 3 X-Pac! The main reasons were that the X-Pac material is totally waterproof (it rains a lot in the Pacific Northwest), I wanted the option of more storage if needed (there's a gusseted bottom that expands when I need to carry a compact umbrella and folds flat when I'm not), and the outside of the bag has 3 small loops that I can hang a cute keychain (for personalization to break up all the black color) and strong S-biner clip (to hang my hat in the summer). Great video! Love Bellroy products, quick question, could the venture ready sling 2.5 be worn around the waist or is the strap too long for that?

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  Год назад +1

      Thank you for your feedback! The Bellroy Venture Ready Sling 2.5 is designed to be worn as a sling bag, meant to be worn diagonally across the body for easy access to your belongings. The strap is adjustable to fit different body types and can be worn on either the left or right side. However, it may not be ideal to wear it around the waist, as the strap may be too long for that purpose and may not provide a secure fit. It's recommended to use it as intended, as a sling bag, for the best comfort and functionality:)

    how is the back panel on the venture ready backpack compared to their transit workpack. I find the backpanel on the workpack a little too soft

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  Год назад +1

      While both backpacks are designed for urban commuters and travelers, they have different back panel constructions that offer different levels of support and comfort. The Bellroy Venture Ready Backpack features a padded back panel that is designed to provide a comfortable and supportive fit against your back. The back panel is made of high-quality foam padding that offers good cushioning, allowing air to circulate and help with ventilation. The foam padding is firm enough to provide stability, but still comfortable for extended periods of wear. It is designed to keep the backpack's shape and provide a consistent level of support even when the backpack is fully loaded. On the other hand, the Bellroy Transit Workpack features a back panel that is designed to be soft and flexible for a more relaxed fit. The back panel is made of a plush foam padding that offers a softer feel against your back. It is designed to contour to the shape of your back and provide a more natural fit. However, this softness may not be ideal for those who prefer a more rigid and supportive back panel.
      So, if you found the back panel on the Bellroy Transit Workpack to be too soft, you may prefer the firmer back panel on the Bellroy Venture Ready Backpack for a more supportive and structured feel. However, personal preferences may vary, and it's always recommended to try on backpacks in person if possible to determine which one feels the most comfortable and suits your needs.

    would you recommend the newer bellroy backpacks over the apex?

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  Год назад

      The newer Bellroy backpacks, including the Bellroy Venture Ready Backpack and the Bellroy Transit Workpack, have been designed with updated features and materials to meet the evolving needs of modern travelers. They offer a range of organization pockets, laptop compartments, and thoughtful details such as weather-resistant materials, RFID pockets, and easy-access pockets for essentials. These backpacks also tend to have ergonomic and comfortable designs with padded back panels, shoulder straps, and sternum straps for added support during extended wear. On the other hand, the Apex backpacks, such as the Bellroy Apex Daypack and the Bellroy Apex Backpack, are part of Bellroy's premium lineup and are designed for outdoor adventurers and travelers who require more rugged and technical backpacks. They feature durable materials, weather-resistant coatings, and advanced organization systems tailored for outdoor and adventure use, such as hiking, camping, and exploring. They also tend to have a more robust and sturdy construction with features like load-bearing hip belts, compression straps, and external attachment points for gear.
      Ultimately, the choice between the newer Bellroy backpacks and the Apex backpacks would depend on your specific needs, preferences, and intended use. Consider factors such as your lifestyle, travel requirements, organizational needs, comfort preferences, and budget when making your decision. It's also helpful to read reviews, compare features, and try on backpacks in person, if possible, to determine which one best fits your needs and preferences.

      The Bellroy Venture Ready Sling 2.5L has a main compartment that measures 20cm x 15cm x 6cm (7.9in x 5.9in x 2.4in). The iPad mini measures 20.32cm x 13.48cm x 0.61cm (8in x 5.3in x 0.24in). The Bellroy Venture Hip Pack is primarily designed to be worn around the waist or hips as a traditional fanny pack or hip pack. However, it may be possible to wear it as a sling-style bag by using the adjustable strap in a cross-body fashion. While it might not offer the same level of stability or weight distribution as a dedicated sling bag, you could experiment with the strap length and positioning to find a configuration that works for you. Keep in mind that the Venture Hip Pack may not have all the features and design elements specifically tailored for sling-style wear, so it's important to consider your comfort and the bag's capacity when using it in this manner:)

However, the waist belt is adjustable (68 - 105cm / 27 - 41.5 inches) and I think a 105cm strap should be long enough to go across the body or chest of a person with a small frame. You can probably measure the length you need and then add a few extra cm for adjustment. Hope that helps. Cheers!

      Not sure which gear you're referring to, but the Pouch, Hip Pack, and Sling can only fit smartphones. Cheers!

    Is there a reason why it is not practical or possible to carry the sling as a fanny pack? Just curious, for carrying versatility's sake

      You totally could, but it would depend on your waist size. I can't get it tight enough to sit snuggly around my 32" waist. It also isn't easy to adjust the strap size while on body.

      @@RushfasterTV Thanks. Do you think it's too big for an EDC, and can I fit a camera cube in the bottom of the bag.

      It’s a great size for EDC! It will depend on the size of your camera cube. I have the Wandrd camera cube and it fits that. A camera cube in the bottom will also help the pack stand on its own.

    I wish Bellroy would use matte finished zippers. The shiny zippers look tacky imo.

      It depends on how it’s packed. You’d need something solid at the bottom of the bag

    I love their bags but the lack of a luggage pass-through keeps it from being perfect.

      Thank you for your feedback, and yes- the absence of a luggage pass-through on the Bellroy Venture Collection backpacks may be a drawback for some travelers who frequently use their backpacks in conjunction with rolling luggage. A luggage pass-through, also known as a luggage strap or trolley sleeve, is a convenient feature that allows you to slide your backpack over the handle of a rolling suitcase, allowing the backpack to sit securely on top of the suitcase while you navigate through airports or other travel situations. The lack of a luggage pass-through means that you would need to carry the Bellroy Venture backpack separately or find an alternative way to attach it to your rolling luggage, which can be less convenient and cumbersome, especially when you have multiple bags to manage during travel. If a luggage pass-through is an essential feature for your travel needs, you may need to consider other backpack options that offer this feature, such as the Bellroy Transit Workpack or other backpacks from different brands that include this functionality. It's important to carefully review the features and specifications of backpacks to ensure they meet your specific needs before making a purchase. However, if the lack of a luggage pass-through is not a deal-breaker for you, and you are drawn to the design, organization, and other features of the Bellroy Venture Collection backpacks, they may still be a good choice for your everyday carry or travel needs. It ultimately depends on your personal preferences and priorities in a backpack.
