just another upgrade to my GQ Patrol with a top mount Cross Country Intercooler
this video is how went about fitting the diy kit which took me about half the day with videoing.
I found it pretty straight forward and so far getting some good results but still need a tune my next mod is going to have to be a 11mm fuel pump and injectors but I get to that later.
If theres anything ive left out or tips that could help someone else please put it in the comments cheers.

Looks like a decent kit (apart from the scotch locks!😂). Refreshing to see someone on youtube using a grinder with the guard on too. I cringe everytime I watch a video and the person has no guard on their grinder.
Those scotch locks haha but every car ive stripped with a tow has them
Yeah it doesn't take long adjust a guard but it takes some time to grow a finger haha
Brilliant howto mate, good intercooler that. I miss my ol GU 4.2TD was a beast, noticed you're running a gturbo manifold, nice! all the best with your trip mate
Thanks mate
Good job
Thanks mate
Great work man
Cheers mate
great video mate, well done
Thanks bro
Did you need to put a oil catch can, my nephew has a turbo nissan patrol later model, they fill it up with oil then take it for a drive come back no oil on dip stick next day full again, any ideas?thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
Hey mate umm not sure but thats a good 1
Mine always shows different readings as well
So does the rear of the mounting bracket sandwich the seam on the firewall?
Yeah mate
Hi ya again, just letting you know Whyalla is having a Derby on the 15th of April, 1 Week after Murray Bridge World record attempt, it's open class so will include full size cars, and it's on your way back to WA, depending on your time frame of your trip over this way, and a week extra, and if your car is able to run another Derby, or just to watch. I can provide all the people etc numbers to contact if ya interested. Cheers, Duane.
Oh my dad has just come over to perth for the derby here
So you guys are going to see safety grandpa gone bad haha
@@downtheshedwithbyron awesome, yuh i'm 50 in May, im kinda semi Derby retired, i built a Falcon Ute for Whyalla (15th April) but i'm still trying to find a Driver, had 1 Lad lined up, but unsure if he'll be here, just waiting for a text message, if he's out, i'll need to find someone else.
@@demolitionman9307 bro bad grandpa is almost 74 and it will be his first derby haha
Good on Grandpa. That's a huge set Nads. I wish him the best.
They drop temps and I find the power is nicer not so much more power but just nicer driving
Yeah mate its made a big difference
Wow mint job I like 👍🍻 how is the egt now keen to know if it's worth top or front thanks
So on the same run home now i use to get 350 400 and engine temps 87 to 92 (up hill)
Now egt not even 300 engine temp about 82ish
But i still need a tune
I went top mount more for the room
Im not sure on the difference that a front mount makes
@@downtheshedwithbyron nice as long it's doing something love the videos mate keep them up
Mint
Cheers bro
