  • The Adapt-a-cap might be the ultimate sun protection cap. I take a look and see what it has to offer and share my experiences in using the hat.

I’ve had the grey(ish) one for about 6 months. Gonna keep that for hiking and pick up an orange for kayaking!
It’s a VERY good point you make about visibility when you are in the water.

I have one of these - the best sun and heat protection for all outdoor activities! The cap is ideal for hiking, fishing, water activities (it doesn’t get soggy) and genuinely keeps you cool with its lightweight and wicking qualities! There is also a new version of this cap with even more wearing options.

How does it hold up in the wind? I noticed there was no cord that goes around the chin like other hats have that secures it to your head when it gets windy.

It works really well as a sun hat. In full protection mode, as seen at 6.15, it can’t blow off. I use it in strong winds constantly and never had it blow off.

Neck cape doesn't seem long enough? Bit of a gap on the sides around the shirt collar.

Was using it today when delivery mail, and I forgot that last summer I had to have my shirt collar facing upwards. I think the sides are fine; it's more the back as I got a little bit of sunburn there today.
