Another great job on another classic movie. One of the best theater flicks ever made. It’s awesome that building of the gas station is still standing. .....And oh man, you guys were just as fast lolllll.
OMG! These brought so many memories from high school. I must have been the same age as John Connor! As usual, congratulations on allowing us to get into the main character's shoes and relive the the thrill of some of the most awesome scenes. Oh, and please don't forget to the filming locations one on Groundhog Day. You promised! ( I have evidence you did!).
I lived in the alley way were John figures out Arnold is a Terminator and not sent to kill him. It's very near the panorama city Walmart. I love location things like these videos.
he launches off near nettleton street, if you look on google maps and go to the end of nettleton street you can see where he launches from if you zoom in.
The interiors of Fast Times were filmed at Sherman Oaks Galleria but unfortunately it had a major makeover so looks totally different than when it was in the film.
I found the second canal location on Google Maps Street View where the truck crashes and explodes. It is located at 10548 Nettleton Street just off of Glenoaks Blvd between two residential houses.
Great vid! Do you know by any chance where is that location when Arnold is flipping his shotgun? Just when that scene is happening, we see a big wide upper shot, but I can not find that location anywhere... If you can help, I will be very very happy! :) Thank you!
Actually the stairs that T-1000 takes down and the exit door to interior parking garage is still there at the Santa Monica Place mall and look exactly the same. Its the structure on the corner of Coloravo blv. and 2nd st.
I think you guys got the spillway bridge from the wrong side. It was actually shot from the other side and flipped in post. Note that in your shot it looks like the "Plummer" road sign is facing away.
Have you seen our On Location episodes? Those are longer and more detailed. These Location Scouts are designed to be more simple. Good note though. Thank you.
They used my moms Insurance business parking lot to set up trailers when they filmed the gas station part where they got the station wagon and removed his chip. At the time that was an old abandoned gas station. Now it's a busy store and gas station. Location. 90th street east and Palmdale BLVD. in Littlerock. Aka Palmdale Aka Sun Village, Ca. OH. They paid my mom 1000 dollars to use her lot for only 9 hours of filming. Score!
Thanks! We're sorry to hear that your channel was taken down. We use clips, but we certainly fall under Fair Use of these clips -- we use very limited clips (less than 5 seconds) and are using as a documentary / commentary on these films. Thanks for watching! Please check out our other Location Scouts and On Location episodes.
Great locations, but I think that bridge where arnold's bike is different, On Arnold's back at end of bridge has kind of triangle look, Arnold's front, next scene has flat end.
Great scouting, especially for the gas station!! Last Location doesn´t seem to be the right one. Arnies bike jump was performed in Sun Valley, right south/west of Glencrest Drive.
@@BeyondtheBacklot I do enjoy all of them 😃! The factory is called kaiser steel mill and located in fontana California if I'm not wrong. Most of the locations is listed from IMDB.com
Yep! Right by the speedway. We've actually been near there before for NASCAR events for promotion. Looks like something out of the Dark Knight Trilogy! Thanks again for joining us :)
@@BeyondtheBacklot Can confirm. My dad used to work at that steel mill. Remember seeing the places they fillmed when I was there with him as a kid. It's all underneath asphalt now.
For our On Location, yes! We definitely want to. Poor guy in the movie...wrong place, wrong time. But... he's a hero for stepping in the way, thinking he was saving a kid!
Hahaha! Gotcha! Apologies, misunderstood. It totally just looks like a shell of a building in the middle of the desert. I doubt locals much remember it’s history either.
Actually that mall garage to the outside of the garage scene where T-1000 tries to catch up with John is a wrong place. The actual place is little bit to the down the street. That building no longer is there thought. A youtuber named 80s Life has the detailed information if you need it.
According to this video, the rest of the chase (including Arny's entrance) was filmed in a completely different area (Sun Valley California) ruclips.net/video/mq5poStqhQk/видео.html
I visited the Hayvenhurst Ave bridge when I was in LA many years ago. It was the highlight of my visit. Thank you for you video!

Cheers from France 🇫🇷. Great filming location about t2 👌
Hello, France! Thanks for watching!
I remember my dad taking me to the spot where the truck launches off the tunnel bridge. He use to live a block from that spot

Thanks bro i will go there when i get the chance its the deleted scene too when the t1000 grabs the cop car
T2 is the best of the franchise!

Wow surprised the rest stop is still there
Arcades were in the malls back in the 90s.
Wild, right? Just another time.
It would be weird if john Connor would tell him, why did you tried to kill my mother back in 1984.
arnie explains that when they are at the service station at night removing the bullets, the resistance captured him and reprogrammed his CPU...
Robert Patrick is very fast in real life. He's got speed.
Haha yep!

Cyberdyne Systems Fremont California
We want to go!
47252 Bayside Parkway. A third floor facade was installed for the filming.
Saving it for our On Location! Thanks!
I’d just think that’s a abandoned building not a place we’re terminator was filmed
Which building?
@@BeyondtheBacklot the first one
100% certain it’s the rest stop in the desert. The gas pump platform, windows, doors, flag pole, it’s all still there. Look again and you’ll see. 😄
@@BeyondtheBacklot yeah I know I’m just saying that if I drove past it I would have just thought it was a ordinary bus stop 😂

Dude, shoot the locations and have your voice in the background, instead of having your face taking up the entire shot while you yap away, just sayin'
No.
NO FAITH
Got to hand it to John Connor...he figured out the riddle real quick!
Strong female lead lol trying to win points much
No. Acknowledging that the idea of "strong female lead" (see James Cameron) proceeded a lot of the modern conversation around film heroes.
According to this video, the rest of the chase (including Arny's entrance) was filmed in a completely different area (Sun Valley California)
