Entertaining and informative as always! One heads-up... the Black Ice Boost is our new battery-free CLEAN boost. It is not a distortion/clipping device.
I love the pickup idea. But I also want to adress the need for more "Week in gear" episodes. It used to be the highlight of the week during the summer, but after the event in Germany, it seems as they have just vanished? I love that there's more stuff going on, but do that really have to hinder the weekly report of new gear? Right now TheGuitarGeek is just another channel that tests different gear, and I wanted this to be something more than that? Maybe it's just me, but I really do miss your honest reports of the new gear that had been made during each week!
I kind of like the idea but I think a better option for reducing magnetic interference would be a lever that drops the height of the neck pup by a cm or 2.
very happy, (in hind sight) that I got to see this 'T' with a dumb secret on your channel. It just works ok? something tells me I would be selling something to afford this...
I admit that the idea is cool, although I would never spend a dime on one. I'm not so enamored of single pickup guitars that I feel the need to have one. I like versatility, so I want at least TWO pickups! No disrespect to anyone who makes a different choice; to each his/her own!‼️
I agree with you but I’ve always been amazed by those players that play a single P90 junior and can get anything they want out of it with a pedal or two or sometimes just the volume and tone knobs. I know I’ll never be one of those players but there’s something cool about a single pickup guitar I can never get the versatility I want from one since I like my cleans clean and my dirty filthy, but I’m low key jealous of those dude’s that show up with a fender combo and a p90 equipped junior or even an Esquire and they can get any tone they’ll ever need and I mean from crystal cleans to edge of breakup all the way to borderline fuzz just with the guitar volume and cranking a small combo to death.
at some point this gets daft, I mean to get the range of variations you really only need to install or remove the neck pickup.... unless you're going to go all the way out there and shoot out "dumbucker" vs gaping-rectangular-hole-in-my-guitar just to bring guitar demo videos to their true natural conclusion at last.
It would be cooler if the “blank” pickup was just a matching wood insert that weighed the same as the humbucker.
Very cool, I can't wait for the deep dive!
I honestly think that is a great idea, I love my single pup guitars but this would give the the best of both in 1 guitar.
People really overcomplicate guitars.
Well…the title wasn’t lying haha
Whether he's right or wrong, I like that they're thinking about it and building it.
That's freaking NEAT I love the idea!

Thanks for the correction! I’ve only ever known the black ice distortion so I really appreciate the heads up
Even pickup height makes such a difference, of course this would be only logical! Looking forward to seeing more of this concept!

Now that's a guitar I'd like to take apart (Curious to see how they do the single/double circuits ..)
I prevent option paralysis by pretty much I ignoring the bridge pickup. 😂

Is that pickup system the same as Relish guitars?
Yes. Relic guitars creased to be and Guitar-X bought the system
@@TheGuitarGeekcool. I have 2 relics, my concern has been getting new pickups
I'm interested if a neck pickup affects the bridge pickup when not in use.
That said, with my cack-handed playing it's hardly going to be an issue.

My brain melted :D
Need demo :D
Absolutely fascinating. Pretty too
Really cool idea
I think so too
Neat studio axe but after a few beers I'd be confused using it live :)
Interesting concept
That was like a Chris Morris spoof.
That’s one of the greatest compliments I’ve ever received
can i put a trumpbucker in it?
Why is the 57 single coil so good? Or a 58 Gibson Humbuckers? Just because they were first doesn't mean they're best
Creamy butter 🧈 Andy
I like it a lot, a lot, a lot. Too bad they didn't add a noise gate

You know I’m going to do exactly that
Quick change artist!
$2,400 !!!???? Noooooooooo. Thanks.....
Thats a good price
I thought that was Henry Rollins for a second.
You’re not alone
Hmm
Mmmmm...nah 😂
Oh so they stole the Relish Guitar (which Failed lol) idea and sell it as a new idea ok
No, they bought it
wow, that is so absolutely unnecessary
Wow that *is* dumb
