Man seems like networking starships together is a bad idea
I'd say Starfleet needs to take a few lessons from the Colonial fleet, but even they fell back into that old habit.
@@deloreanrc In fairness to the Colonial Fleet, the survival of Pegasus shows that a full tech Battlestar can be shielded against Cylon electronic warfare, and even the old girl Galactica had to network every system for maximum processing power, they were able to keep her pretty well protected.
As for the Federation.... look..... they have consistently had lackluster security from the basics of keeping prisoners contained and fending off boarders to the major like having defensive forces. Overconfidence and blind naivety have gotten a lot of red and gold shirts killed.
I may have the solution. The problem is the ships are attacking Each Other right? Well simply tell all the Allies to disable all of starfleets weapons or sensor array( so they cant target other starfleet ships). Since Starfleet ships Shields are down it should be easy. Disable the weapons and ,,,IF you take the weapons out of the equation then that will buy them time to figure out how to disable the construct. Also maybe give the other ships the starfleet weapons frequencies to maximize shield effectiveness.
only problem is to be able get the correct word out and do only that kind of damage. If that info got into the hands of the federations enemies I can see this being really tough to execute.
i swear if starfleet get compromised a 3rd time because of a networked fleet... its going to be really funny
LoL, so true. I do not understand one thing. I get that networked ships can be a huge advantage, but how TF did they get the idea that it cannot be turned down by crew. Worse in fact, it apparently supercedes even Captain of the ship, with no apparent way to disable it internally... Dunno who wast he "briliant" engineer behind idea of computer superceding captain in the chain of command, but they were not very smart.

I was thinking this since Prodigy was advertised like a kids show. I think they have one of the highest kill counts in all of trek feom just this episode.
Well considering that acencea's people are the ones who are responsible for what happened to her people( they chose to have a civil war) and there shortsightedness led to there undoing, as if they were exempt from being known about from the entire quadrant, Starfleet wasn't the first and it won't be the last, I'd go back in time and make her watch the whole godamb thing just as a teachable moment to not blame others for your self inflicted atrocities.
